5G, A fear? or just another generation of Phone internet
People are often scared of new things that they don't fully understand, this is the case for artificial intelligence, and for the new generation of the fifth generation of the mobile network, or as you would know it as (5G).
Ever since 5G was even announced it was under scrutiny as it uses higher energy radiation than the generation before, radiation in this case just means light we can’t see. A study evaluated how humans are exposed to this radiation emitted by 5G antennas, with simulation tools and measurements around these antennas, and compared this with the existing safety guidelines and standards. They found that the amount of radiation people are exposed to from these antennas is within the limits set by the international safety guidelines, and is actually comparable to or lower than the exposure levels from previous mobile network generations. The study concluded that 5G technology isn’t a big health risk due to radiation exposure. But as with all things, continuous monitoring is recommended.
This shows that 5G isn’t killing people on the streets, or doing terrible damage to us in our every day lives. But when it comes to artificial intelligence, there are many viewpoints, as AI affects nearly every part of society, making it a heavily debated topic. Some belive that AI will gain sentience and take over the world, and people have issues with the ethics of the current AI’s, as they pretty much steal data, and just try to replicate it.
