one day, mitsukou actually go on a trip to a real aquarium, and when they get to the penguin exhibit they look at the penguin names. mitsuba decides they aren’t good enough and starts to name every. single. penguin. in the exhibit (kou tries to get him to leave but mitsuba accuses him of breaking the bond between him and 'elizabeth' so kou just kinda sits there as mitsuba phases through the wall to say hi to 'isabella')

I'm extremely sleep deprived and I keep seeing things liek I flinched because of a bag today thinking it was some unknown creature and I also almost had a heart attack because I saw the door to my room open but that wasn't actually real

mitsukou bake together. mitsuba isn’t that good at it but he insults kou’s food so kou insults his back; but when mitsuba actually seems sad after one of his cupcakes melts into a mess kou tells him "your other cupcakes actually weren’t that bad" and then

mitsuba’s eyes light up, beaming. it’s so bright that kou looks away, as if it’d blind him (he mutters a small "i suppose..." while scratching his neck). and then mitsuba asks why he’s looking away and then when kou refuses to look at him mitsuba begins batting at him bc he hates being ignored and the joking atmosphere is back.

(kou sees mitsuba’s smile in his mind’s eye as he tucks himself into bed that night. he couldn’t sleep)

I restarted my animal crossing island and I guess enjoy doing everything all over again but I HATEEEE THE START OF THE GAME T_T
