Two sapphic horror recommendations:
An Education in Malice by S.T. Gibson is a little dark academia story at an all girls college that takes place sometime around the 1960s/70s. Themes include: dom/sub relationship, enemies to lovers.
Content warnings: sex scenes, professor/student relationship, murder
This book is soft and dark, but the “horror” aspect is not as strong as the second recommendation.

The Wicked and the Willing by Lianyu Tan is a love triangle vampire horror story set in 1920s Singapore. This one is not for the faint of heart, there’s plenty of spice but there’s also violence, emotional and physical abuse, sexual assault, and of course murder - all of the above perpetrated by women. This book also has two endings and the reader gets to make an important decision for the MC.
Content warnings: see above. When I said the earlier book is soft and dark, this is tumultuous, very dark, and rewarding.

wlw romantasy books?
If anyone sees this I'm looking for more wlw romantic fantasy books and any recommendations would be very much appreciated

This is Persimmon, she’s about 1.5yrs old now. She got a little bit of aspen stuck to the top of her head and it looks like a tiny cowlick.
She’s a sweetie and also a dork. Here she is in her “toddler” bin, she’s still small enough to comfortably use a plastic tote as her enclosure while I work on her permanent enclosure.

I’m into all of this.
For any relocated TikTok users
you can say sex and kill its fine
If you don't have a profile picture people will assume you're a bot
theres barely an algorithm, if you want to see cool shit reblog things instead of just liking them
follower count doesnt matter
tumblr fame gets you one thing and it is Yelled At
no one knows what the fuck the nsfw policy is
block anyone that annoys you even a little bit
And most importantly:
post cringe

Back again.
At the start of the social platform wars, we are abandoning all Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads), TikTok’s short lived dominance is forever changed, Twitter (also called X - by force only) is dead.
Places with more thoughtful community seem like a comfort now. Tumblr feels like a good option, Reddit is going strong, Xiao Hong Shu (RedNote) has been adopted by those abandoned by TikTok and it has more intention for international connection than TT did. Folks are considering BlueSky the next viable option.
Pinterest is… haha it’s not really social, but it’s always been a nice escape.
And yet, where’s the discussion about Mastodon? And is Pixelfed part of the fediverse or is it its own thing?
I’m currently waiting for my 20 years worth of data to download from Facebook. 😂
Twenty years! This really is a lesson is learning how to stop giving a shit about toxic relationships.

Okay, hi Tumblr. Haven’t been here for a minute but what a great time to come here a post up screenshots from a dying platform. 😂 (Also, since I last posted to Tumblr I have started using emojis. Ionically at first, but now I do it all the time so there is no longer irony in it and I am an old person.)
Anyway, I grabbed some screenshots from Twitter just for funsies. And the below story from LAist for context.

Ever wondered what the London subway must have been like during the punk rock era of the 1970s and 80s?
The Telegraph released a glorious set of candid photos taken by Bob Mazzer during his 20 years of commuting on the London tube.
