Evaluator Bias in Child Custody Evaluations (18+; Multiracial/biracial/multiethnic)
Hello! My name is Kirshjah Martin and I am a graduate student in the final year of my doctoral psychology program at Alliant International University. I am reaching out regarding the ability to send you my dissertation flyer and survey link. Through my experiences in my clinical work, I have been able to spend time with multiracial and biracial clients and I am looking to examine this community. Specifically, I am looking to examine racial bias in child custody evaluations within Multiracial and multiethnic families. I would love the opportunity to further discuss this with you and possibly gathering some participants. Let me know your thoughts. Thank you!

Hey, I am so happy to see an actual mixed race page that stands up and isn’t just basically fetish content 💀. Also thank you for having the multiracial bill of rights out there. So many don’t know about it!
Thank up again!
Thank you so much! There's quite a few of us out here, you just gotta look realllllll hard. I wish I knew about the Bill of Rights when I was younger!

Thinking of Cassie today and that's why she will be our #newprofilepic this month. This has always been a Cassie appreciation page and no slander will be tolerated!
The Diddy verdict is in but the jury of mostly men say that Diddy did it but only some of it? He was found guilty on only 2 of the 5 charges. It's not the win we were hoping for but those 2 charges can still land him in jail for 20 years. Also with over 120 other lawsuits against him since Cassie spoke out, this fight is far from over.
Praying for Cassie, her family, as well as the other victims who didn't get the full justice they deserved. Sadly again I'm not surprised, we're literally in hell right now, but it would be nice to read some good news.
Like her hubby said, despite all of this, he didn't break her spirit. I hope this news won't break yours. ❤️🖤
Update: Diddy's bail has been denied for the safety of the victims and their loved ones, thankfully!

#LGBTQ in the 50s/60s faced an #antigay legal system. Police raids on #gay bars were routine but officers quickly lost control of the situation at the #StonewallInn.
Enter #StorméDeLarverie, a #butch #lesbian whose scuffle with police was the spark that ignited the #stonewallriots spurring the crowd to action. She was born in New Orleans, to a #Black mother and a #White father. Shes remembered as a gay #civilrightsicon /entertainer. She was the “guardian of #lesbians in the Village.” She is known as “the Rosa Parks of the gay community.” The Stonewall riots were a series of spontaneous, violent demonstrations by members of the #LGBT community against a police raid that began in the early morning of June 28, 1969, at the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, New York. They’re considered the most important event leading to the gay liberation movement and the modern fight for LGBT rights in America.
Tensions between police and gay residents of Greenwich erupted into more protests the next evening & several nights later. Within weeks, Village residents quickly organized into activist groups to concentrate efforts on establishing places for gays and lesbians to be open about their sexual orientation without fear of being arrested.
On June 28, 1970, the first #gaypride marches took place in NY, LA, San Francisco & Chicago commemorating the anniversary of the riots. Today, LGBT #pride events are held annually throughout the world the end of June to mark the Stonewall riots. And we can’t forget #MarshaPJohnson who was a gay liberation activist and #dragqueen. Johnson was one of the prominent figures in the Stonewall uprising. Johnson has been named “one of the individuals known to have been in the vanguard" of the pushback against the police at the uprising. Along with Johnson and Delarverie, #SylviaRivera, #ThomasLaniganSchmidt & #CraigRodwell are known as notable participants of the riots. 🏳️‍🌈🌈☮️ #PrideMonth #MixedLGBT #stonewall51 #blacktranslivesmatter (at Stonewall Inn) https://www.instagram.com/p/CB_ZSyklbXq/?igshid=6p5rz9t57fip

On June 12th, 1967, the Supreme Court ruled against banning #interracial marriages, it’s only been “legal” for a little over 50 years!
It all started with married couple Mildred #Loving who was #Black & #NativeAmerican and Richard Loving, a #White man. Even their last name was about what they would fight for. They met when they were kids, fell in love & then Mildred got pregnant at 18. It was illegal to marry in Virginia but Washington DC allowed it & they married there. They didn’t understand how their love could be illegal, they thought as long as DC said they could & kept to themselves they would be ok. One night, the police entered their home in Richmond, VA & arrested them. For what? For being married & even sleeping next to each other in the same bed. Mildred was still pregnant when they locked her up but they didn’t care. They pleaded guilty to “co-habitating as man & wife”, the only way to avoid jail time was if they agreed to leave Virginia. They left their home & families behind & moved to DC. Mildred was distraught & home sick. One day she decided to write the US Attorney General for some guidance, Robert F. Kennedy. He was moved by her letter & helped them take legal action with the ACLU. It was a long fight, almost 10 years but the Supreme Court ruled in their favor unanimously. They made history. They happily moved back to their home in Richmond with their 3 children. Unfortunately, Richard passed away in a car accident in 1975. Mildred never remarried & passed in 2008. They were married for 17 years.
Despite the Supreme Courts ruling, many states weren’t on board, especially southern states. Alabama was the last state to do so, in the year 2000!
Loving, the film about their life was released in November 2016 starring Joel Edgerton & Ruth Negga. Ruth got an Oscar nomination for her role as Mildred.
Today, June 12th, is known as Loving Day. It’s become the largest #multiracial celebration in the United States. It’s not an official holiday but we’re fighting to make it so, New York has made it an “unofficial” celebration, but they recognize it.
Thank you to the Loving’s. They’re the reason why we are all here today. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 #LovingDay https://www.instagram.com/p/CBV8zuRliSz/?igshid=yxhh8e0cxdr1

#Repost @barackobama ・・・ This was back in 2011, when I was visiting the tiny town of Moneygall, the place where my great-great-great grandfather, a shoemaker named Falmouth Kearney, lived his early life. I marveled as I walked around on the same old floorboards that he did, then I had the privilege to address the people of Ireland on College Green. For me, this photo pretty much sums up their joyful spirit; a warmth and generosity that stay with me to this day. Happy St. Patrick’s Day—on this day, it’ll always be O’Bama. #StPatricksDay #mixedboys #obama https://www.instagram.com/p/BvHyw5Ll89M/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=12ezjedzy3pry
