Talking about David Minns reminded me of possibly my favorite story David shared about Freddie, which was that when Freddie received a golden record to celebrate the sales of “A Night At The Opera”, he for some reason latched onto the idea of figuring out if the gold disc was actually ANATO, or if it was just a generic record. So he straight up broke it out of the glass and tried to play it, and it was actually a golden copy of ANATO and Freddie was very pleased with it.

Brian May photographed by Mick Rock 1973//1974
↳ “Every time I photographed Brian, I noticed that he had this quality of innocence that he still seems to hold onto to this day. I never got the sense that he had any particular interest in living an “alternative” or hip” lifestyle. He just seemed to want to write and play music. He was and still seems to be essentially eclectic and very bright. He was this wildly experimental guitarist with an academic bent that lent so much to Queen’s sound.” - Mick Rock
