I mean, I like butch applejack, but when it comes to fictional characters, people do tend to forget that being femme, masc, etc. It's a wide spectrum, and theres a lot more people in the middle than you probably think. Not to mention, there are some people that will take even a singular trait they they find particularly masculine or feminine and then use that to decide a characters entire identity

Don't get me wrong. it's all headcanon, so there's nothing wrong with it, but like, be careful. You're not just accidentally repackaging gender stereotypes

Living in a farming community I look at the women who this character would represent and yes they could break you in half and are strong hard workers but they are still very feminine in their own way. I personally feel like drawing AJ just like her brother really ruins some of the story telling you have with her.

I’ll be honest I’m mostly just bitter because I relate to her a lot and it feels I am loosing my representation just so AJ can become for lack of a better way to put it “a dude”

Everyone, what's a lesson from an episode that you guys disagree with/think the writers missed the mark on?

For me, it is the episode with rainbowdashs parents where they were being extremely bearing and inconsiderate, and they framed RD as being the bad guy for setting a reasonable boundary.

PC sucks bc uhhhhhh. umm. huhhhh.. she banished her sister that one time. and she left a teenager to pick up the fallout of that 1000 yeras later, and then um...she doesnt do anything ig. she also sucks at fighting maybe. oh yeah and she hardly helped luna to adjust to society after being freshly freed from prison after 1000 years as evidenced in the episode Luna Eclipsed and left her sister to her own devices or Twilight and co to deal w that mes, she DEFINITELY sent Luna down to ponyville that episode on purpose as a joke. and uhhh,,

Okay but Celestia is kinda a jerk with her jokes sometimes. I get having some humor but she makes basically everyone around her embarrass themselves in the episode A Bird In The Hoof. She seems to also have bad timing on when to joke around and multiple times she’s messed with Twilight while she’s having a serious problem (or thinks she has a serious problem).

I could be wrong/misremembering the show but I feel like she doesn’t really ever seem super sorry about what she did to Luna either. Maybe it’s better in later seasons but I feel like it’s never addressed both how Celestia kinda overshadowed her sister and literally never put thought into her life and how hard it was (until Starlight Glimmer swapped them).

They literally stole her bird in a bird in and hoof lmao. She didn't play a prank on them, She legit didn't even know who took it. FS should've just asked why her bird looked thay and she would've answered. Every instance of celestia "pranking" ppl is really just them freaking themselves out over her for no real reason.

For the twilight thing, I assume you're talking about when PC laughed when twilight was worried about twilight. She was only laughing because she saw herself in Twilight. She did the same thing Twilight was doing when she had to send her to ponyville. There really was no ill intent.

Maybe you're just misremebering because I feel like it was brought up quite a bit. The only time we see celestia with tears in her eyes is when she's talking about luna being banished. Also, her overshadowing luna really ain't her fault, idk what ppl would have wanted her to do about that. According to the show, the only actual reason luna was upset was because ponies slept at night. Celestia can't just change ponies' sleep cycles to make her sister feel better.

Not really a confession but can we talk about how strong Snails is when it comes to magical ability in the later seasons? We see him at one point lift himself and multiple objects in the air, I think the only other pony shown lifting herself with magic is Starlight.

Im super glad that in the final season,only a small amount of the fanon ships ended up becoming canon.Im especially glad that most ships involving the mane 6 just never became an actual thing.Especially the ships involving princess Twilight Sparkle.

While I enjoy to imagine all those colourful horses kissing eachother and everyone (alongside consuming and sharing fancontent depicting exactly that),I think that most of them not only make more sense as friends,but are also more entertaining as friends.

In general,despite being the multishipping trash that I am,when it comes to most mlp ships,I only enjoy them as a fanon or AU thing, and wouldn't really want most of them to be canon.

Im also glad that fluttercord and appledash are only HALF canon.I like that the finale allows the viewer to interpret them as either being lovers OR as simply being super close friends instead of fully canonizing both ships.That being said,I wish the fandom would stop pretending that these two are fully canon because like,they are not.
