Mahmoud’s Story: A Dream Beneath the Ruins
My name is Mahmoud, a Palestinian young man with a degree in Business Administration. I was full of ambition, running small projects and performing with a Palestinian dabke troupe to preserve the heritage of our ancestors.
But the war destroyed everything. I lost my home, my projects, and the dabke troupe scattered. My wife sought refuge abroad before the war and gave birth to our first daughter, whom I have never held and only see through video calls.

Today, the war has ended, but my suffering hasn’t. My home is gone, and I lack the means to reunite with my family. Still, I hold on to hope. I dream of rebuilding my life, meeting my daughter, and teaching her Palestinian dabke to keep the dream alive amidst the ruins.
My Brother Mohammed’s Story
My name is Mohammed, a young Palestinian man who was injured during the war, leaving me unable to work as I once did. As my wife and I await the arrival of our first child, I dream of starting fresh through a small project that can help me provide a dignified life for my family.
However, this dream requires support, and due to the rising costs of living and our difficult circumstances, we are unable to make it happen alone. I humbly reach out to you, hoping for your kind assistance in helping me secure the capital needed to begin this project.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in my life and the life of my family.
May God bless you and reward you for your generosity

Post Date: Wednesday 15.01.25
Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah); we gladly welcome the news of the ceasefire.  However, Palestinians in Ghazzah still urgently need our support.
Mahmoud Zaatar has shared his story on tumblr. When the war broke out, Mahmoud's pregnant wife was thankfully able to leave Ghazzah and give birth abroad – however, this means that Mahmoud not met his daughter yet. He is desperate to reunite with his family. At the same time, Mahmoud is supporting his brother, Mohammed Zaatar, as well as their elderly parents. Mohammed was badly injured by shrapnel and has been unable to work ever since. Mohammed is also married and trying to support his family.
Mahmoud Zaatar's campaign currently stands at €2,332 / €12,400. So far, he has reached 19% of his target.
In sha Allah (By Allah's Will), I will match every €50 that is donated to Mohammed’s GFM with a further €50. I hope to match a total of €300.
Our first target is €2,382! Can you help us reach it?
Please support this campaign by donating and boosting. Every donation, no matter the amount, goes towards making an immense difference!

Hope for Next Sunday 🥲🚨
My name is Mahmoud Zaatar, a man from Gaza, a husband and father who only seeks a dignified life for himself and his loved ones. My wife and daughter were forced to travel far from the war and destruction. I stayed behind, amidst the rubble, trying to protect what remains and stand by my family, especially my brother Mohammed, who lost his home and everything he owned due to this brutal war.
Everything we had was destroyed—our home, once filled with laughter, our small projects that were our livelihood, and even my family’s house, which used to be our refuge. Today, we are homeless, trying to survive and persevere through this immense hardship.
Yet, a glimmer of hope has emerged. Next Sunday marks the beginning of a ceasefire, a chance for us to rebuild our lives and start anew. Despite the pain and loss, we are determined to rise again from the ruins.
To everyone reading my story, I humbly ask for your support during this difficult time. Not so that we remain dependent on aid, but to help us take the first steps toward self-reliance. Your donations and support can help us rebuild our homes, restore our projects, and create opportunities for us to live with dignity and break free from the cycle of need.
We don’t want to be stuck in poverty or dependent on others. The people of Gaza are strong, and we want to stand on our own feet again. But to do so, we need your help to start over. Every contribution is a brick in rebuilding a home, a chance to restore a life, and a light in a dark path.
Next Sunday isn’t just about stopping the war; it’s about creating a better future for ourselves and our children. Help us make this dream a reality. We promise you that we will work hard, rebuild, and rely on ourselves, ensuring we never become a burden to anyone.
With every donation, you are building a life, restoring hope, and proving that humanity still exists. Thank you for every bit of support, no matter how small—it means the world to us.
Gaza stands strong, and its people never give up. With your support, we will come back stronger than ever.
I will be very happy if my campaign reaches €3,000. It’s less than €700 away from the target!

Everyone knows our situation in the Gaza Strip. Everyone knows how difficult our lives are and how expensive food has become, making it unaffordable for us. There are days when we eat just one meal in two days.
I will share my story again on Tumblr:
I am Mahmoud from the Gaza Strip, living under the fire of the Israeli occupation for the past 465 days. Our house was bombed on September 16, 2023.
I got married four months before the war started. When the war began, my wife was pregnant with our first daughter. I arranged for her to travel to a safe area outside the country, and she gave birth there. Today, my daughter, Naia, is nine months old, and I haven’t been able to hold or hug her. I can only see her through video calls.
I am hoping for your donations to help reunite me with my wife and my firstborn daughter.
As for my brother, Mohammed, he is injured and unable to live or work. He is trying to support his family and his pregnant wife. Mohammed was injured when our house was bombed, as he and his wife were inside at the time.
Today, we are asking for your help because we cannot afford to buy anything due to the brutal war and the extreme price increases.
I write to you with the last bit of hope we have, hoping you see us through the lens of humanity
‏:How You Can Help
‏I’m sharing our story with the hope that someone out there might care. Even $5 can make a big difference for us, and if you’re unable to donate, just reblogging this post can help spread the word.
:‏What This Means to Us
Your generous donation brings us peace by helping us secure daily food and clean water. Sharing our story is just as important, as it spreads our voice and encourages others to help. Thank you for supporting us in any way you can.
‏Thank you for reading this far. It means the world to us to know that someone is listening. Your kindness gives us strength and helps us believe in a better tomorrow

Supporters of the occupation reported my account, and it was banned🚨
My account on Tumblr was banned after being reported by supporters of the Israeli occupation, simply because I am from Gaza and asking for help. I was sharing my personal struggles, like being separated from my wife and daughter, and the difficulty of providing for my family during the war. I also talked about my brother Mohamed, who lost his job due to the bombing of his home by the occupation. But because of my stance against the occupation, my account was reported and banned. Despite this, I won’t stop asking for support, as our suffering in Gaza continues, and we are in desperate need of help.
Before the war, I had just gotten married and had a dream of a peaceful life with my wife. But the situation in Gaza forced me to send her abroad, as she was pregnant. The war started, and I was separated from her, with my daughter now 9 months old, and I couldn’t see her. At the same time, my brother Mohamed was hit by airstrikes on the first day of the war, destroying his home and leaving him unable to support his family. While I helped him, I began sharing my story on Tumblr, but my account was banned due to reports from supporters of the occupation. Today, I ask for help not just for myself, but for my family and my brother. We are in desperate need of support to survive in these harsh conditions

Life has become very harsh, and the extreme price hikes have made it impossible for us to afford food.
