I ran yesterday.
It was good. I'm going to do it again today.

These cold mornings are making it REALLY hard to pull myself out of bed… I can’t wait to go back to sleep tonight! Resisting turning the heat on still… My goal is November 1st. It’s already snowed, the Rockies are capped, and it’s been in the 30s for a while now. Ugh.
Edit: I fell asleep several times while writing these few short sentences. It's going to be a long day (8-5 ...in retail).

Didn't get to bed until almost 10 last night. Alarm went off at 2:30. I'm so jealous whenever anyone posts something about getting up super early to do a 4:30/5:30/6:00 workout. I'm already at work by then and/or taking my first break of the day. Luckily I have a short shift today and will be home by 1:30... To sleep for the entire weekend. UGH IT IS TOO EARLY AND IT IS COLD! Wah.

Went to yoga again today :) three in a row--where is my gold star?! Plan is to go again tomorrow morning. This morning I was really, truly, absolutely exhausted, so we'll see how I feel at 5am... If I'm too tired, I'll give myself a break. I'm working 11:45-7:45, which isn't a super-long shift, but IS a really long day. Made beef stew with kale, celery, carrots, potatoes, onion, garlic, and parsley for dinner... and it was delicious! Lots of leftovers for the next few days :) with a side of cauliflower-something-or-other, since I have so much of it. Happy Monday night!

Well. I forgot that, since it's Sunday (free metered parking) and the yoga studio doesn't have a lot, it would be difficult (actually impossible) to find parking at the downtown location this afternoon. So I'm going to a class down the street in a few hours instead.

Princess shift (<5 hrs) at work and then yoga today :) I got a free week at the studio I went to yesterday... They have 3 locations around Denver, so I'm going to a class near work. Today's class is "basics," which will be good since I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. I'm soooo sore from yesterday! My abdominals have not been used in so long.

Went to my vinyasa class this morning, then picked up my veggies from co-op (bountifulbaskets.org if you're in the southwest/mountain region)! Part of what I participated in was the cauliflower add-on... 24 lbs of cauliflower per person. So I'm cooking a ton of cauliflower today. Blanching and also making mashed cauliflower by the boatload to head into my freezer! I'm going to roast some to go along with tonight's dinner. I loveeeee roasted cauliflower so much. It's delicious. You can also add buffalo sauce for a yummy buffalo wing alternative. That will happen. The photo is the cauliflower I haven't gotten to yet. 4 heads in, haha.

Yoga tomorrow at 8am. I can't wait to stretch! There has been nothing going on in my life other than work... So I have been MIA. Mom got to go home from the hospital and is doing well!

Where do you buy a dress to wear to a wedding? The last wedding I went to was when I was 16 or so... And I have no idea where to buy this kind of clothing (read: what is "this kind"?). Help?

Was sitting on the balcony watching the rain and enjoying a glass of wine... Went to move one of the chairs out of reach of the rain and knocked my glass off of the arm of the bench... COMPLETELY shattered it. Such a waste of wine and stemware. Ugh.

From yesterday's Incline climb! The first two are from the farthest point I reached... Unfortunately ran out of water at 12pm (90°, direct sun), so we didn't go all the way to the top. Also, let's be honest, I was DYING! So out of shape. The highest point is where the red line crosses the "U" in aqueduct. The incline is a one mile "trail" that climbs over two miles in elevation over that distance. The third photo is closer to the bottom... You can see how steep the climb is. Killer. Goal #1: make it to the top. (Note: bring AT LEAST 2 full camelback bladders. I went through an entire 50 oz in the time I was climbing. Also, do not START climbing at 10:30... Start by 7am at the latest.) Goal #2: make it to the top without stopping for breaks. Seriously had to stop like every 50 feet. My calves and hamstrings were/are still killing me. It was absolutely amazing, though! What a view. And it felt so good to exercise... However, it probably would have been start to do something in between. I went straight from the couch to the Incline. Yikes. A serious kick in the ass to stop smoking. It's go time.
