A Palace of... Prismarine?

Three hermits stood at the edge of the shopping center, watching a building rising out of the river. Well, not quite rising but Grian was working hard on it. So hard, even, he had no idea three of his friends were watching him. They hadn’t arrived together, they hadn’t intended to just watch Grian but something about this building had grabbed their attention.

“What is he building?” Pearl asked and she squinted against the sunlight reflecting off of the wet blocks. She had been planning on getting some pickles, since Gem had stocked them recently but Grians build had distracted him.

“It looks almost like… some sort of palace?” Gem said, her voice going up in a question. She had just come back from stocking the pickle shop which had continuously been sold out by Pearl. It got her some good diamonds but she had not expected those pickles to be her best seller.

“But it’s made of prismarine,” Joel added, who had been standing here the longest. He really didn’t have a reason to be in the shopping district, he had a build to finish back at his base. But something had called him here, call it a gut feeling or fate.

“Am I the only one with an odd sensation of deja vú?” Pearl asked as she wrapped her arms around herself as a sudden shiver went down her spine. The foundation of the half finished building went deep into the river. It looked… misplaced in such a small body of water.

“No,” Gem confessed as she noticed a school of salmon swimming by. They almost seemed to avoid the structure, as if it gave off some bad vibe. “I feel like I’ve seen it before…”

“That’s crazy,” Joel shook his head, refusing to admit he had the exact same feeling as Gem and Pearl. He had never seen anything like this before. The cod spiraling around the pillars in the water shouldn’t feel so familiar and well known. “Where would we’ve seen it before?”

HaTO!Lizzie actually knew about HaTO!Jimmy before camp and neither of them ever realized. She used to be big sister Lizzie that played with little Jimmy when he was constantly outcast by other neighborhood kids. Though their time with each other didn't last long as Lizzie was only ever around in Jimmy's childhood town because she visited her relatives there briefly.

Lizzie had once stolen a lot of horses from the mortal world and instructed them to hunt down HaTO!Joey when they had a particularly bad fight. She eventually sent most of them back to their original ranches when the camp complained about the amount of horse manure around, but she now definitely has a lot of horse connections she can always talk to when she's out and about.

She has a hippocampus named Joel. Yes, after HaTO!Joel. Everyone always has to guess whether she means the horse or the actual camper whenever she says "Oh no, I have to go and take Joel out on his daily swim!"

If you're sharing headcanons, have any headcanons for HatO Shelby and Katherine?

HaTO!Shelby, at first, wasn't too knowledgeable on flowers and flower languages. She was only used to growing mushrooms and certain herbs/plants that helped her with her magic and were used in her attempts to make potions like an actual witch. It was only when she started competing against HaTO!Joey for HaTO!Katherine's attention that she seriously started to study on how to grow other flowers that's not only for the sake of being used in her weird potionmaking, but to properly gift Katherine with.

Shelby is the descendant of Lycaon. Artemis has once offered her a place in the Hunters of Artemis so they could monitor the possiblity of her being a Lycanthrope due to her ancestral blood, but Shelby refused in favor of focusing on improving her magic as Trivia's daughter. When Artemis was stubborn about it, Shelby swore on the River Styx to Katherine that the Underworld princess could kill her if she ever turns into a feral werewolf, placating Artemis for a while.

Katherine used to have a hobby of customizing doll heads and displaying them in her living space. When the other campers expressed their discomfort of the creepiness of this, she resorted to making plushies instead, with the occasional help from HaTO!Scott.

Everyone tries to avoid visiting her living space because she turned it into some kind of zoo for her aquatic friends and horse friends. She calls them her 'roommates'.

She doesn't actually have axolotl ears. She bought clip on earring things that had the design of one 'cause she likes to make her axolotls think they're her family.

Jimmy, as a legacy of Neptune/Poseidon alongside being the child of Hermes, likes to call her his 'big sister'. Although, logically, she would basically count as his aunt since his mortal parent is connected to Lizzie through Neptune. Not that it matters! They're sea-blings and they want to be.

Lizzie has a jellyfish haircut 'cause she likes to be on theme with her godly parent. Let her be extra :] She's cute anyway

For some reason that idea is really funny to me

hey if jason grace can choose to stay in camp half-blood, why cant joel choose to stay in camp hermitcraft, right?

aint no one gon bother with him, some hermits are also in both empires and hermitcraft too so he's not completely alone (if someone did complain about it, the entire camp would probably offer them to the gods by next campfire night)

Mmmm, if you still want a Martyn mention (you might start to realize I like 3rd life a lil' too much);

I would bet that Ren and Martyn are childhood friends.

They would've, at some point, taken notice of Ren's weird demigod abilities (Martyn is the first to notice because I've officially decided he can also see through the Mist as a mortal) and they would both chalk it up to those 'superhero abilities' you see in movies and cartoons.

So, with their love for stories and theatrics, they basically follow the footsteps of those cartoons and try to basically "Ned Leeds and Peter Parker" this shit ( AKA having Martyn cook up heroic plans while Ren just follows through with them ).

Their little deeds eventually get too ambitious at some point that Ren had attracted a monster to his area one day without realizing.

I like to think that Lizzie, Daughter of Neptune but also Legacy of Venus, cooked up a naive plan to get Joel to go to her more by amplifying everyone's love/desire towards Joel until he notices it and has to ask for help.

(He didn't. He thought everyone just somehow began to notice how charming he was while Lizzie eventually forgot she even did anything since Joel magnets towards her with or without the obsession problem.)

Uh, I want to answer everything creatively so, here! Lore of my own below! (Again, can be considered not canon, if wanted. This is just my own stuff!)

An excerpt from the Camp Oracle's Journal:

"I had the honor of meeting one of the only Big Three kids in camp during my 3rd week as the oracle. He looked a little intimidating, or maybe I just thought he was intimidating because everyone spoke so highly of him like the ground he walks on needed to be worshipped--

But as soon as I got an actual conversation with him, he seems.... actually not like a bloodthirsty monster? I mean, hearing 'son of Hades' I would've assumed I'd be smacked in the face with some teenage angst and daddy issues, but all I got was some fossil who exclaims 'oh snappers!' like it's a game character voiceline.

I challenged him to a spar because, you know, I thought he'd show his true colors in battle or something! And if I fainted mid-sparring because of my curiosity, then at least my curiosity was sated?

But nope, still the same fossil who giggles even when he gets beat down by a mortal child way shorter than him.

I didn't know if he was just making it easier for me, but his humbleness really made me feel like I was on top of the world, so I just took it as is. It was fun.

I eventually asked X why everyone speaks of Etho like he's a god despite him being... well, as he is, and of course- he laughed at me.

Apparently there was an agreed ban on Big Three kids years ago, but was eventually voided because of Etho's existence. Obviously I asked how that came to be and all X said, in an ominous way, 'Because he's Etho.'

Anyway, apparently I just challenged and beat up the same man who may or may not have done some big heroic thing to make the gods scared enough to void a divine agreement between the Big Three.

Should I be scared? Probably not, haha.
