The House She Built

There was once a girl living in the meadows and she had a beautiful house. It was everything she had ever dreamed of. The windows were tinted blue, casting a soft glow over the rooms, and the curtains were bright yellow, swaying gently in the breeze. There were always fresh flowers on the table, their scent mingling with the warmth of the afternoon sun. People came and went, basking in the light her home had to offer.

There was always food on the table, ready for anyone who needed it. The fridge was full, stocked with things she loved but never hesitated to share. She loved her house, loved sitting in its quiet comfort, watching the world pass by. She thought it would always be like this.

But one day, cracks started to form.

At first, they were small, barely noticeable. She ran her fingers over them, whispered that it was nothing. A little plaster, a fresh coat of paint—easy fixes. But then, the roof began to leak. Water dripped into pots and buckets she scattered around, the slow, rhythmic sound filling the silence of her once-lively home. Pipes burst. The floor creaked under her weight.

She patched what she could. Kept her doors open. But soon, people stopped coming as often. And the ones who did? They stayed only for a little while. They would sip their tea, glance around, and say, "I wish I had a vase like that," or, "That magnet is so cute."

She wanted them to stay—maybe because her house no longer felt like home, and she was afraid they wouldn’t come back, so she smiled and plucked the vase from the table, the magnet from the fridge.

"Take it," she said. "It’s yours as much as it is mine."

And they took them.

The visits became more frequent. The same people, the same polite smiles—except now, they came with empty hands and left with something of hers. A framed picture here, a chair there. She gave without question, without hesitation. If it made them happy, wasn’t that what mattered?

She didn’t notice when her home started to feel emptier.

Then, one day, they arrived not as guests but as scavengers.

"It’s already falling apart," they said, running their hands over the cracked walls. "What’s the point of keeping it like this? We could use it better."

She watched, frozen, as they took their tools and chipped away at her home. They pried bricks loose, tugged at the beams, taking piece after piece.

"Stop," she said. "This is my home."

"But you were happy to share before," they reminded her, smiling as they took more.

She tried to fight back, but they dismissed her, their words sharp.

"You’re being selfish now. You want to change things? But we like how it is. It’s convenient for us. You’re changing. Your house is changing."

And then, just like that, they were gone.

She stood in the wreckage of what had once been hers. Her home—her beautiful, warm, safe home—was nothing but broken bricks and shattered glass.

"Oh God," the girl cried out. "Why me? Why must the house I built with so much love come crashing down? Why must the bricks I laid on this plot of land break and ruin? What should I do now?"

But there was no answer. Only the wind carrying the echoes of her own voice.

She sank to the ground and wept.

Time passed. Summer faded into autumn, then winter, until finally, spring arrived. The trees turned green again, the sky stretched endlessly above her. And one day, as she sat among the ruins of her home, the rabbits came.

"Why are you crying?" they asked.

"I have no home," she said. "I don’t know what to do."

The rabbits exchanged glances.

"No home?" one of them asked. "Then why don’t you build one?"

She blinked at them.

"I don’t know if I can," she admitted. "I loved my house so much. I don’t know if I can make another one as good as it was."

The rabbits tilted their heads.

"But you built it once," they reminded her. "That means you can do it again. You made that house a home with your own hands. What did you love most about it?"

She thought for a moment.

"I loved that it was safe. That it was warm. That it was mine," she said softly. Then her voice wavered. "But it had cracks. It was shaky. And I tried so hard to hold it together."

The rabbits nodded.

"Then this time," they said, "build one that doesn’t shake."

So she did.

She gathered the bricks, her hands growing rough and blistered. She dug into the dirt, sweat rolling down her back. Her arms ached, her knees bruised, but she kept working. She was not the quiet, gentle girl she had been before. Not anymore.

Because now, she was building.

The new house took time. When she finally stood back and looked at it, it was bare. No curtains, no flowers. Just walls, a roof, a floor beneath her feet.

"Who would want to visit me now?" she whispered. "My house is empty."

The rabbit tilted his head. "Why would people not want to visit," he asked, "when you are at the door, smiling ever so sweetly at their welcome?"

A rabbit hopped up to her, carrying a single flower in its mouth. It dropped it at her feet.

"For your new house."

She picked it up, twirling it between her fingers.

"I’m scared," she admitted. "What if this house falls apart too? What if I have to start over again?"

The rabbit tilted its head.

"Then you build another one," it said simply. "This land is yours. Every time your house falls, you build a stronger one."

She swallowed. "Will it ever end?"

The rabbit smiled.

"Maybe not," it said. "But that’s the best part, right? Every time you build a house, you get to decorate it all over again. Every time your house changes, you change too."

Lord of a house aspecting that house

Okay, so just so clear things up, this is a very tiny thing and cannot do anything alone. It has to be supported by other factors as well. For ex: if your 2nd lord is aspecting the 2nd house, but the 2nd lord itself is in 6,8,12 houses, is afflicted, debilitated or in it's marana karaka, then it won't do much since the MAIN thing is in a bad position. It's like (I'm so bad at analogies but...bear with it), your gums and teeth are healthy so flossing your teeth just maintains the already good state, it removes small food particles stuck here and there. but if the gums and teeth are rotten then what will flossing do? Nothing. (The analogy is so bad i can't 😭😭)

1st lord aspecting the 1st house makes a person have a strong personality. They know what they want and how to get it. Have a good head on their shoulders (I know a person with this who also has ketu in 1st and he acts like a headless person anyways, so....). They can gain a lot of money through family business.

2nd lord aspecting the 2nd house makes the person gain through their family. Can get a LARGE inheritance. They can be very persuasive as well. Most of the times, have quite a large Appetite and this can make them fat.

3rd lord aspecting the 3rd house makes the person courageous and intelligent. Many actors and talk show hosts that are known for their wittiness have this. Can be very close with their siblings and school friends. They are creative and have a talent for constantly coming up with unique ideas.

4th lord aspecting the 4th house makes the person feel extremely close to their mother. She may have a huge influence in what decisions they make about their life. They can gain a lot of money through real estate. They will always support their family members no matter how they are.

5th lord aspecting the 5th house can make someone a successful actor, from what I noticed. You'll see this everywhere, but these people indeed have good children. I know two people with this and they have both treated their kids so badly but the kids still love them and I feel so sad, cuz bro, abandon them, who cares. Can have succesful short term romantic relationships, even if you breakup with someone it won't be that bad. Have the ability to convert their hobbies into a professional career. Can have a great relationship with their kids, I mean, my mom has this, and me and my sister couldn't have asked for someone better.

6th lord aspecting the 6th house is perfect for surviving in this era of capitalism. They will never be in debt and are good at financial management. A good immune system, don't easily get sick. They never remain unemployed for a long period of time. All your enemies will disappear from your life, like, if someone bullies you, they will have to pay their karma.

7th lord aspecting the 7th house is good for marriage and business partnerships. Can have good interpersonal skills. The spouse can resemble their "ideal type" very closely. Have a good public image. Good for settling abroad as well. People who openly oppose you will also get defeated.

8th lord aspecting the 8th house can make someone a great psychologist. Gives a heightened intuition. Sex life can be good. Can make them the best in their career. Can get a large inheritance from in laws. This also makes a person interested in magic and other things that are considered to be taboo, so they'll be interested in exploring it and may have a talent in it as well.

9th lord aspecting the 9th house is one of the best aspects that one can have, since 9th house is literally the house of luck. Can make a person lucky in general, even if they end up in a bad situation they get out of it very easily. Can have a great relationship with their father. Are usually very very intelligent and have the ability to read between the lines. I know a few people with this and the way they're able to grasp things is so fascinating, they actually use their brain. This also indicates abroad settlement. A lot of spiritual gurus have this.

10th lord aspecting the 10th house makes a person well liked by other people. Their bosses love them and that helps in career. They will always get recognised for their work. Can achieve a high social status. This also gives a good relationship with mother in law and not just "good" but good in the sense that she may be a business woman who will help them in their career goals.

11th lord aspecting the 11th house is another lucky position. Can give enormous amount of wealth. They have friends who help them climb the social ladder. This can give a large inheritance as well. Can give the same results as 10th house, except mother in law.

12th lord aspecting the 12th house also indicates abroad settlement. Can have psychic abilities (I would really recommend you guys to work on them). They can have a good sex life as well. Can be good healers. Can be good artists and writers as well.

Also, i forgot to add, it's a vedic system, so use sidereal and whole signs and aspects work differently in vedic, it's not according to sextiles, trines, squares. Most of the planets only aspect the house opposite from it. Saturn aspects 3,7,10 from it. Jupiter aspects 5,7,9 from it. Mars aspects 4,7,8 from it. All the others only aspect the 7th from it.

Upapada Lagna (UL)

What is Upapada Lagna?

The UL is a chart within your lagna/natal chart. It provides insight on the first marriage/long-term partnership.

How to Calculate UL?

1. Count how many houses the 12th House is from the 12th House Lord.

2. Count that number again from the location of the 12th House Lord.

EX: 12th House Aries - Mars (12th H ruler) is in 2nd House - That is 3 away so you count 3 from 2nd House = 4th House is the UL.

EXCEPTIONS: 6th House & 12th House House can NOT be the UL.

For further simplicity in calculating see the below:

If 12th lord is in 1st house, your ul is 2nd house.

If 12th lord is in 2nd house, your ul is 4th house.

If 12th lord is in 3rd house, your ul is 3rd house.

If 12th lord is in 4th house, your ul is 8th house.

If 12th lord is in 5th house, your ul is 10th house.

If 12th lord is in 6th house, your ul is 9th house.

If 12th lord is in 7th house, your ul is 2nd house.

If 12th lord is in 8th house your ul is 4th house.

If 12th lord is in 9th house, your ul is 3rd house.

27 NAKSHATRAS THROUGH MANY FACES

you may start to see the nakshatras next to each other subtlety inheriting the same traits from one another no matter how much in contrast their cycles are. i notice the features progress from the previous nakshatra, without completely losing the passed down blueprint. i realized this as i scrolled through this order of collages. for example, mula and jyestha honestly look the most similar to me (the whole transition from anuradha to purva ashada, actually).

Honourable mention

While Mula natives usually have elongated faces much like Purva Ashadas, it's always interesting to see the different manifestations of physiognomy of the same nakshatras. Had I done that, this thread would have been a lot longer. You would think I should have added Kendall Jenner-Emily Ratajkowski as a pair in the Uttara Bhadrapada section — but notice how they're physically set apart from other natives. There are a variety of ways a nakshatra can look on our faces, I notice this when I'll find a pair of natives who look similar but they are their own set from other natives under the same nakshatra. Keep this in mind, there isn't always a certain look.

Another addition, trine nakshatras can resemble one another. I wanted to add these final pictures to reach the image limit.

Darakaraka (DK) Is the planet that has the lowest degree in your vedic natal chart. DK is said to represent your spouse.

Planet, sign + aspects will influence the accuracy. This is going to give surface level insight. It is not a personal read of your placement.

Farfaraway, Youtube - Learn the nakshatras and planets in nakshatras

Farfaraway has a really good playlist about the nakshatras and a generalized run down of what it means to have certain planet placements (in the nakshatras). He also discusses the stories behind each deity associated with them. I believe he also has a website although, I haven't looked into that yet.

Astrology Loka (Gina Lyhane), Youtube - Great all rounder: Basic vedic astrology, nakshatras, planetary placements, chart aspects, transits and predictions, and more

Gina has such a great Youtube channel that features many good videos pertaining to vedic astrology. She has videos on the nakshatras, meanings of the houses, transit analysis, sometimes she does case studies on celeb figures' charts. Overall, her channel is the best "all rounder" for vedic astro content.

Cooking Astrology, Youtube - Intermediate level videos on jyotish

This channel is particularly useful if you're starting to understand the basics of vedic astrology, and what to dive into more in-depth techniques/knowledge/tutorials. I find that his videos about the house axes are very interesting and help you to better understand houses in relation to each other (and not just as individuals). He also talks about yogas and has a good amount of videos discussing the D9 navamsa chart.

Picture Astrology, Youtube - Learn the placement of planets in particular houses/rashis

Great channel if you just want quick, generalized meanings about planets in a particular rashi or house. Their rahu-ketu videos are also quite insightful, in my opinion.

Dr Arjun Pai Astrology, Youtube - Advanced level lectures on nakshatras and other vedic topics

Dr Pai's videos on the nakshatras are great if you really want to deep dive into the meanings, significations, and interpretations of the nakshatras. Dr Pai and his team do such great videos telling us why a particular nakshatra is associated with certain characteristics. If you are a beginner, his videos might be overwhelming but I think it's helpful to listen to them like podcasts and absorb the info.

Astrology with Ninad, Youtube - Great videos on current transits and future predictions

I particularly like Ninad's videos on transits and upcoming predictions. It's useful to also listen to transits aimed at other rashis signs (other than your own), as it helps you to understand/learn how moving planets affect the chart.

South node/ketu is also where you carry natural gifts from your past life, meaning you could innately be a very wise person/manifest actually quite easily. Jupiter is always a benefic, but in the case of it being retrograde it could just mean you have more inner work to do, which I would bet in your case has to do with self belief - I think looking into law of assumption will help you a lot, as it really changed my life and helped me manifest so much more easily. Remember, your mind is so powerful, it can convince itself you’re powerless. this post feels long lost due, I had many asks on this so I will make a post on this one <33

Jupiter is a planet of faith, and optimism and abundance. However, you don't really have a planet specifically made for "manifestation", but if you think you had to guess one, I am guessing it would be Jupiter. Even in vedic astrology, people with strong brihaspati or Jupiter are considered lucky. Someone who was reading palms for me and my sister the other day said the first thing we do to see luck through hands is the Jupiter and Venus mount. But Venus is luxury you have in life and Jupiter is the fortune, I hope I am making sense. But otherwise, I have often seen 11th house be associated with manifestation

this post definitely checked my creativity and the methods of manifestations im aware of lmao. I have not taken this from any book but rather its mere observation of the charts I have seen until now, and asked my family to see if it worked for them and it made sense so its again a my theory kinda post lmao. I hope it is able to help y'all too <33 I was refraining from making a post on this one but it had a LOTT of asks so I decided to do it :) Let's gooooooooooo

Jupiter in:

Aries/1st house: First of all, be precise and extremely clear about what you want. If you need to put the work or you believe in taking inspired actions, please do! I would also suggest concentrating/condensing your energy in your 3rd eye through meditations. Believe in yourself and also, don't jump 10 places. I have often seen people with Jupiter in 1st house have kind of a scattered energy, to put it correctly, not really laidback, not really fierce, and I think this should be fixed. I would suggest people with this placement to work with their chart ruler and Jupiter along to find a best method that could suit them, the best one I feel like suggesting for everyone, is meditation.

Taurus/2nd house: I think people with this placement should definitely use affirmation tapes/affirmations. I would suggest methods that make you feel at peace and calm, and relaxing. Use aura meditations/ocean music before bed and calm yourself down and focus. Speak your desire into existence, using affirmations in front of mirror could be one thing you can do. If possible, make a vision board or buy a small manifestation souvenir suggesting your desire is complete. If possible, write your manifestations on a white sheet and bury them under a plant or soil in your garden.

Gemini/3rd house: Write. Journal your desires, write them down, clearly. If you guys have things like a feng shui crystal turtle, write your desires on a paper and put it under that turtle. I would also suggest using affirmations, to people with this placement, be optimistic and say good things about your manifestation. Use the law of assumption. Listen to subliminals, it may really help as well.

Cancer/4th house: FEEL your manifestation. Use music that makes you feel as if, evokes such emotions you know. Use the moon cycles for manifestation. Have you guys heard of Moon water manifestation? Basically, in a glass put some water and set intentions of your manifestation and put it under the full moon. Next day, drink that water. If you used a bigger bottle, then drink that water every time you set intentions of your manifestations. Use visualization

Leo/5th house: Have fun with your manifestation. Enjoy what you are willing to manifest and feel the vibes coming in. Be confident that yes, it is coming and it would happen. Be creative about your manifestation. Try drawing your desires if you guys enjoy arts. Create beautiful DIYs like creative vision boards while blasting music, or pretty photo frames or phone wallpapers that would suggest completion of your desires. I would also suggest using heart chakra meditations, lifting your spirits up.

Virgo/6th house: Create a manifestation routine. Something that locks you in and also, dont be too fixtated on when will it happen. Create a routine you enjoy and it can be absolutely anything. I however feel like suggesting 369 method, 55X5 method or things like so. One other thing I will say is, don't be afraid of helping someone if your boundaries are not crossed, and you may actually find that you have coincidences that lead you to what you had wanted. I would say, be open minded as well. Release pent up energy in your body time to time. I have often seen people with this placement are already very helping/people like to ask them for help.

Libra/7th house: I would suggest talking about your manifestation, in a journal, to someone you trust or even to yourself in a positive, loving way! Enjoy talking about what you want, talk about it with love, faith and optimism. I would suggest using a sigil, especially near your mirror or when you are getting ready. Use a pretty paper, and make it super cute and to your aesthetic. If its possible, clean and program the ornaments you wear, or even if its a hair tie you wear daily. By program I mean, meditating on it and setting a vibration/energy that corresponds to your manifestation. pretending as if can help too.

Scorpio/8th house: Don't talk about your manifestation until its complete, don't tell much people about it until you are close with them. Use sleep meditations (I would suggest Edward Art's sleep meditations) and please, believe in your manifestation but yourself first, that you can attract what you want. Use the law of attraction. Even though I suggest being on high vibrations, I would still say, let yourself feel your emotions, its important to feel yourself. Don't get too attached, fearful or desperate for what you want. Pray to whoever you believe when you're sleeping. Often seen people with this placement/8th house moons or stelliums have some kind of divine intervention with the things they desire. Be open to change in paths, if it is possible.

Sagittarius/9th house: Be optimistic about your manifestation. Pray if you believe in a higher deity or power. This is a very lucky placement in my opinion and you have the power to achieve whatever you want, just desire it strongly and in a positive way. Use frequency meditations, and if possible. Have faith and patience and don't be in a rush for anything. Use manifestation journals if possible. I feel people with these placements are already quite spiritual or at least aware of such topics. Use affirmations/ religious affirmations if you believe in one.

Capricorn/10th house: Talk about your manifestation, don't lie about what you want when asked, say it if its not violating your boundaries and if not, just say something neutral. ASC: their energy is sooooo soothing like ugh. They have a very cute and comforting aura, very magnetic people and naturally gorgeous

Mercury: they speak slow or not too much but once they let a full sentence out it's usually GOLD

Sun: hmmmm they do tend to be kinda full of themselves but they have BDE and are pretty hot so I'll give them that

Mars: VOICE is soooo good. However they tend to be low-key problematic tbh. Will get very snappy and petty real quick

Venus: I know this is venus's domicile but... most taurus venus I've seen were low-key kinda..... harsh and stern in their love style?? And not all that loyal if im honest with you, they're only loyal when they see personal benefit/satisfaction. It’s true that they’ll spoil you if they truly love you tho

Gemini

Mars: comeback queens/kings, also very multi-talented. What else can I say they always manage to be so iconic

Moon: out of all gemini placements they're the most likely to sit down and really listen to you. Can be too honest, another say-it-like-it-is placement. Comforting others is not their forte but they're very tolerant and patient

Venus: golden retriever energy, extroverted and popular and I've said this before but they can be very loyal!!

Sun: they are cool and so so funny but can also be veeeeery immature and a bit self-righteous. I love them but that bad press they have in pop culture exists for a reason that's all im gonna say

ASC: they're very intelligent and entertaining but gemini on the asc is such a messy placement imo cause they have an identity/existencial crisis at least twice a day which can make them kinda chaotic people to have in your life (love you guys tho)

Mercury: talking with them is VERY annoying tbh. They will just roughly listen to what you say just keep interrupting and eventually start their own monologue. They ain't listening they aren't even wanting for their turn to speak they're just waiting for whatever opportunity to speak

Mercury: such good listeners!! also they are very honest and genuine with what they say like aries mercury but more tactful

Venus: this placement soothes down the most fiery personality. They are very loved and inexplicably magnetic

ASC: mommy issues. I love their intuition and they are really good at creating community wherever they go but my only complaint is they are defensive 24/7

Moon: hit or miss. Either really emotionally mature person that wants to take care of everyone or very immature and childish with a victim complex

Sun: huge attention seekers. Insecure, codependent and always looking for validation. Tend to portray themselves as innocent/clueless/harmless, etc.

Mars: these are SLY motherfuckers, they scare me more than scorpio mars

Moon: I have to admit this placement surprised me for the better. Yes they can be egotistical and entitled but when developed leo moons are very profound and passionate people with strong morals and are really good at inspiring others and lifting them up

Sun: the main character complex rumors may or may not be true but their magnetism and charm is undeniable

Mars: extremely prideful, my way or the highway kinda attitude, but they’re usually pretty harmless people from what I’ve seen. Their anger can be intense but they let it go easily after some dramatic moment. Dedicated.

ASC: daddy issues central. Known to be the most introverted leo placement but they’re very very very attached to their pride underneath. They really do wanna be/feel special and unique to the point of keeping most people at arm’s length cause that’s how much they wanna distinct themselves

Mercury: won’t hesitate to change topics if they don’t care what is being talked about or it has nothing to do with them. Laser focused on their interests tho that’s pretty cool

Mars: omfg I love this placement so much. They handle conflict with SO much grace and embody all the good traits of virgo (capable, responsible, hard workers, great to work with, helpful, self-accountable....) *lady gaga's voice* talented brilliant incredible amazing show-stopping spectacular-

ASC: pretty self-serving tbh and often come across as goody-two-shoes or know-it-alls but they're alright for the most part. The virgo placement that has it the LEAST together tbh

Moon: they'll be there for you when you need help or advice but they can be pretty judgmental. They have a tendency to not really give people some grace. If they genuinely like you tho they’ll be extremely appreciative of everything you do right. Supportive

Sun: Very standoffish personality. Hard on themselves on the surface but probably also has a hidden superiority complex. The only placement where I prefer the men over the women

Moon: least superficial libra placement. Very introspective, sweet and find it really easy to understand other's emotions in an unbiased way

Sun: they mind their own business and are really good at picking their battles wisely, only taking out their “dark” energy when it’s needed

Mars: don’t bother them and they won’t bother you. That’s the golden rule. Otherwise they’re pretty chill and unproblematic, dark humor enjoyers and strong-willed. I won’t say they’re completely drama free but hey

Mercury: they’ll be open to talk about anything, you can tell them literally anything and will listen intently without judgement. They can easily use info against others or withhold info tho so make sure they can be trusted

ASC: y’all low-key enjoy toxicity and drama but you don’t wanna admit it!!! They really thrive in uncomfortable situations and probably likes gossip too. One of the most black-or-white mindset placements

Venus: yeah not the best in relationships. They don’t really give their all and when they do give something it’s never unconditional. Relationships are always a power dynamic to them

Mercury: soso profound and intelligent. Will introduce you to new perspectives, great researchers. So good at finding answers and solutions!!!

Venus: Very open-minded, they are genuinely very accepting of literally any kind of person! They will applaud and celebrate your differences and quirks however they tend to be flighty and pretty light on their feet

Moon: Anger issues!!! Very volatile and defensive people underneath that chill and funny persona. They have well-known beef with someone. Don't like admitting their wrong, prone to ghosting everyone 99% of the times

Mars: the most entitled and rude out of all the sagittarius placements. The type to laugh in your face and never take accountability, their attitude can be revolting if you ask me

Capricorn

Venus: they make me MELT. So incredibly attractive, reliable, such an impecable taste, the way they treat you will bring you to your knees like ugh I can't

Mars: most resilient individuals I've seen truly!! Literally nothing will bring them down. So so ambitious, focused and have endless energy love them

ASC: socially adaptable but they stay true to themselves at the same time. Attractive, loyal and fresh personality/presence.

Mars: veeeery likable and popular. They really are dedicated to making an impact on the people

Sun: when they just simply focus on being themselves and doing their own thing they're very genuinely special and chill people and great friends! However when they care too much about being making themselves special they're very egocentric and unnecessarily problematic
