This is one of two blogs I have on tumblr. This one is for the pictures and stories about femininity, particularly through a transwoman perspective. My other blog onlymonica.tumblr.com is just for my own pictures. The title 'Monica Reconstructed' is a bit arcane, but I chose it since I had totally deleted my earlier blog, then went in search of my own pictures that others had reblogged. Sort of like trying to find, or reconstruct my past. The pictures at the top of this blog are of me. Most others in this blog are of women (GG, CD, TG, and Transwomen) who inspire me. I enjoy when people contact me, as long as it's all in good taste. I realize that's subjective, so don't worry -- you probably won't totally alienate me.

More vintage panties. I bought this new in package (which had seen better days...) pair of sanitary panties a few months ago. Got a good price on it too. It's the old style with the little metal hooks for a disposable sanitary pad. Classic soft vinyl lined gusset.

A pair of my own handmade panties using vintage nylon material from an old VF slip. This pair has the classic high waist, rounded hip area, and I added a superwide double nylon gusset. When I put these on and pull them all the way up, the waist elastic is super high above my belly button.

Genuine vintage panties from 1935! Bought these a few months ago, and they're absolutely charming. Made by Fae Garments from a small city in Pennsylvania. 100% acetate, good girl panties. When you see those 1930s & early 40s pinup gals wearing those sexy high waisted white nylon panties, chances are some of them were made by Fae.
Who knows - maybe Fae was a pinup gal herself???

FRANZ VON BAYROS
Marquis Franz von Bayros (1866 – 1924), also known by his pseudonym Choisy Le Conin, was an Austrian artist and son of a Spanish nobleman. He is known for his erotic illustrations for the Decadence Movement, his early Art Nouveau style which follows in the footstep of Aubrey Beardsley, and was probably one of the earliest artists who could be described as including fetish themes in his art, essentially becoming the first “fetish artist.” His illustrations are noted for their intricate detail, as well as their hidden eroticism which is often combined with objects and architecture in the background of his images.
In 1886, at 17, he studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, where both Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele were to later study, and became close with Johann Strauss and his circle of friends. Not much else is known about his time at the Academy. In 1896 he married a step daughter of Johann Strauss and then moved to Munich in 1897.
In 1904, von Bayros gave his first exhibition in Munich, which was a great success. From 1904 until 1908, von Bayros traveled to Paris and Italy for his studies.
In 1911 he created his most famous work, an erotic portfolio titled ‘Erzahlungen vom Toilettentisch’ (‘Tales from the Dressing Table’). The illustrations in this portfolio caused such controversy, he was later arrested and exiled from Germany, returning to Vienna.
