im currently rewatching rtte and im noticing a bunch of details people DONT TALK ABOUT!!! hiccup and astrid always standing or sitting next to each other, hiccup being the only one to comfort astrid when heather leaves, hiccup and astrid just being the bestest of buds and always hanging out, astrid talking about hiccup when he's not there, even just the smallest of details like just glancing at each other. the twins are doing something stupid? astrid turns to give hiccup a raise of the brow, and hiccup just shrugs.

AND LETS NOT FORGET IN LIKE THE FIRST EPISODE, HICCUP AND ASTRID SIT NEXT TO EACHOTHER ON THE BEACH WHILE EVERYONE ELSE IS ASLEEP, JUST TALKING WHILE GAZING AT THE MOON!!!! these are the purest details never mentioned and it makes me sad :(

edit: "i can't imagine a world without you in it" BEING SAID BETWEEN THEM, WITH NO ROMANTIC FEELINGS BEING SAID YET? I ACTUALLY CAN'T THEY'RE EVERYTHING😭❤️

This is still one of my all-time favorite scenes. Like, of anything I’ve watched.

Newt fell first but Tina fell harder.

The moment Newt saw Tina for who she was Newt fell, when he saw that she was just as damaged as him, but Tina took much longer to trust the fall. Couldn’t believe that there was someone out there who would admire her like that.

And she was falling before she said goodbye to Newt at the docks, but when he came back to ask to give her a copy she was a goner.

This week's episode had me thinking a lot about the men in Olivia's life and how every one of them seemed to fit a typical romantic role that may have been overlooked at the time. At a glance, there's not much there. But when looking at them all collectively? One just stands out.

But I may be biased.

Just give them a thought.

Brian Cassidy is the guy from high school you slept with once only to bang again after reuniting in your hometown years later. You leave him wanting more but now you know that he'd be no good for you.

Ed Tucker is the guy everyone seems to suddenly love once you're together. You start dating on what feels like a whim. After feeling like you'd never find someone to spend forever with, you admit that he's not so bad after all. Until he says that he IS ready for forever and the truth becomes rapidly clear. It was convenient. It was nice. It was fun. But it wasn't forever.

Peter Stone is the jock you'll admit that you find attractive. Except the guy isn't quite sure of his own place in the world and you know right away that even if friends and family are pushing for you to be together, it's just not going to happen.

Elliot Stabler is the guy you fell hard for only to realize that he loved someone else. When he breaks your heart by ghosting you and throwing your friendship out the door, you become way more guarded than you did before. But that love (and lust) is still there when you're reunited years later and are both single. It finally happens. You sleep together and agree to give it a try. Even though your friends and coworkers are shouting NO, NO, NO, you think you owe it to your younger self to try. Only to quickly realize that it was the unrequited aspect of it all that made you feel the way you did. Looking back, he needs to take care of, and better, himself before he could ever think about being with you.

Rafael Barba is ... a lot. Smart aleck. Friend and foe. You're always going toe to toe with him because he's the only one you CAN go toe to toe with, even if his smirking face tends to annoy you. The man puts on a show but deep down, he's all heart and awkward fluff. His friendship is the one that grew slowly, like glowing embers turn to flames. You stop and realize one day that yes, he's your closest friend. And yes, you would never want to jeopardize that.

Until it happens.

And suddenly he's not there.

You hide your true emotions under your anger towards him after that explosive argument because what else can you do? You certainly can't admit to yourself that you miss everything you had with him. From sociocultural debates to the little touches between you. No, you don't miss that.

You can't allow yourself to miss that.

So his calls and texts go unanswered and you fall right back into your old habit of building up that wall.

But you still miss him.
