Like no I think the point of Metamorphosis is fundamentally that Samsa is conscious and careful and neither infectious nor threatening. He's functioning in an entirely human manner. That's the entire point of Metamorphosis. Samsa is not killed for being a danger he is killed for being a burden and for making those around him uncomfortable

As time goes on I get more and more annoyed by media portraying Tourette's as only "haha this person is constantly shouting vulgar things and its very funny!" Not a single time have I seen media show how actually debilitating and disruptive having Tourette's syndrome is/can be. And not all tics are just vulgarity. They don't talk about the mental and physical pain, the feeling of trying to suppress certain tics (sometimes possible, can be very difficult) to not accidentally hit someone else or yourself. The stares you get in public. The inability to work in pretty much *any* customer facing job. The inability to do even basic tasks because you can't even hold an object (the amount of times I've had to pass off cooking dinner most nights to my wife because otherwise I'd end up stabbing myself or someone else when chopping things increases almost every day). They don't portray how some days/moments, Tourette's can be more or less active due to various factors, causing accusations of faking it because people only ever notice the vulgarity they've been shown. Tourette's has affected my mental and physical health, relationships, work, hobbies, my entire life. We're not a jester performing for you. We have a disability.

Well actually hank if you look at the science involved you'd see that scientists agree that temperatures have been rising steadily over the past century to an unprecedented degree that is clearly the result of human interference. and hank was like.
