Don’t hold the younger you to the standards you hold yourself to today. You didn’t know as much. You were in a different headspace, with different things affecting and scaring you, facing challenges that seemed big at the time. Maybe you were even lonelier. What’s important is that you know better now, and you know more now. That’s something to move forward with, not something to curse the past with.

five recipes for an exciting life (in my opinion)
spending enough time creating things with your hands (baking, drawing, scrapbooking, doodling, crocheting, journaling and so on)
keeping track of things like pretty skies, milestones, happy memories, appointments you're looking forward to
listening to music that genuinely makes you feel happy and energetic
making a habit of reaching out to people in a way that's comfortable to you (i send my dad songs he might like, my friend sends me monthly life updates)
being kind to all your five senses → like investing in a scented candle or essential oil dispenser or body mist, having a soft blanket or socks (or a soft animal to pet), listening to birdsong or the rain, looking at the sky more often, and having your favorite foods enough times

What a morning to be alive💕
I’ve had a good hair day. It’s chill outside, tricking me into wearing a comfy long sleeve. I have only three classes today at the university. I will be trying to gather a study guide for my math class and watch some YouTube videos to explain concepts…hopefully.
It’s been weeks since I’ve woken up feeling like this. I don’t know how long this feeling will last but I’ll have to just enjoy it while it lasts.

god i hate how normalized diet culture and shit like bmi and calories are. bmi is based on eugenics. calories are a measurement of how much energy something gives u and not at all of how much weight or fat ull gain. diets have been proven to be harmful and ultimately unhelpful in actually losing weight. fatness has been largely proven to not be inherently unhealthy and doesnt inherently cause health issues.

In order to become the best version of you or to conquer and accomplish your goals you need a good night’s sleep. Improving the amount of sleep and the quality of sleep you get helps with your heart health, mood, memory retention, blood sugar, and it even helps with boosting your immune system. Below are some tips on how to improve your sleep hygiene to help with your quality of sleep.
Drink a warm cup of tea before bed
Create a sleep schedule (set a time you sleep and a time you wake up)
Avoid caffeinated drinks after 4pm
Exercise 2 hours before bed
Take a warm and relaxing shower or bath
Journal about your day to calm your mind
Listen to classical relaxation or calming music while getting ready for bed
Stay off of social media 2 hours before bed
Read a book to help you fall asleep
Dim the lights in your room or turn on a lamp
Avoid drinking a lot of water before bed
Create a bed time routine and stick to it
Do a 10-30 min. meditation
Avoid drinking alcohol before bed (it is known to negatively affect your sleep and hormones)

Your academic path, your professional career, your adulthood, your hobby, whatever it is. It's okay not to know and not wanting to rush it, to try things out and then to ditch them, to get enough experience before you make a choice and to question that choice if it doesn't serve you anymore.
No matter what your age is, do not let somebody tell you how your life should be, or what kind of decisions you should make.
They are yours to take.
