Because I am an absolute psycho: I’ve been working on making Vanderbilt University’s central library for the Sims3. This project is what let me know my current WIP couldn’t be converted to a Sims3 story, because this monster is the very first set I’d need for scene 1. All of the photos would take place in one room, a stairwell and the lawn pictured here - and if I were a sane person that is all I would build.  Unfortunately, I get antsy and stressed just THINKING about only partially building out the set, so it’s just too ambitious to consider the project... (Chapter two would require me building a strip mall, and Chapter 4 a pier landing/main street. All of these scenes would be used in one maybe two chapters and then never get touched again.) BUT! I spent so long researching this build that I still want to do it. I’ve already sunk an entire day (pretty much literally from 10am until I had to get ready for work at 4:30am the next day) and have basically a shell so far. I’m obviously taking liberties, but want to do what I can to be authentic where I can. The original building is FAR too large (Too many stories, longer than I can fit on a lot, and split levels on a sloped lot!!) for me to recreate faithfully. Still, I’m sure there are PLEANTY of people out there who could use a massive pre-built school/library set, so I’m going to plug away at this and upload it for other people. The uploaded lot will only have CC textures - no CC meshes or objects of any kind. Packaging CC for a download is a headache - so it probably won’t ever be included except with requested lots.

I hurt my back over the Fourth of July holiday, and was in too much pain to do much yesterday - so I rebuilt and furnished The Grainery from the Sims 3 Riverview. No CC objects, though there are some CC textures.

Built with the spirit of the original lot in mind, though I expanded the footprint to give me more space on the upper floors. The main floor (pictured) is an open living space with plenty of space for entertaining. 

The third floor contains two smaller bedrooms and a shared bathroom, while the fourth and fifth floors contain the master-suit/office. Only Basic landscaping, with a fully fenced yard, parking for two cars, a small Koi pond and mature trees lining the road to give the property some privacy.
