wandering through alleyways all too familiar yet uncomfortable just the same a brisk chill brushes past like every bustling silhouette on the street.

peering into the shops that we would peruse together putting down things we had no business in picking up trying not to search for your face within the reflection of the glass

i tear myself away to look up at the clouds attempting to seek solace in hoping that maybe we're watching the same sky together.

there's this calvin and hobbes comic where they're about to go to sleep, and they tell each other that they'll meet each other in their dreams. it stings a part of my soul whenever i remember it haha

i painted this in memory of my cousin and where i imagine he's waiting for me. i hope so, at any rate. also inspired by hydrangea season! they are so beautiful.
