no more jadedcore. enough post-ironywave. i'm tired of the aesthetics of apathy becoming a social media philosophy. you witness the world as full of suffering and cruelty and your response is to give in and stop believing that caring for other people is not merely a possibility but an inevitability? how many times have you witnessed the generosity of strangers just in the past day? when was the last time you actually paid attention to the experience of eating your favorite food? why are you convinced that the white-crowned sparrows in the bushes who are singing their hearts out are just background noise, reality taken for granted and then labeled as pointless? motherfucker, you still listen to music. don't tell me that you're hopeless when there are people who look forward to seeing you every single day. let yourself risk the pain of caring too much over and over and over. it's going to hurt sometimes, but what is the mountain without a pebble in your shoe?
