Master Aqua training Kairi to be a keyblade master
KH3 SPOILERS! Please read at your risk!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Basically Aqua training Kairi post-KH3 to become strong enough to go out and find Sora, but in the process the Wayfinder trio become Kairi's family.
Here we go!
Kairi was miserably crying. It has been her routine for a while- sitting on the paopu fruit tree, watching the sunset, and losing in to tears. Her face was red, and her tears just wouldn't stop flowing, her face hurt from frowning so much.
"And I promised.... I'd be the one to protect you this time... I'm weak. I'm too weak...." "Then grow stronger." ".... Huh...?"
Kairi found Aqua walking to her, as she sat next to her. She didn't want to lecture her, so instead, with a gentle smile, she embraced Kairi's head, patting her back. Kairi just went into a worse fit, crying harder and hugging Aqua tightly.
Eventually, after a while of Aqua comforting the shaken Kairi, she calmed down, taking deep breaths as Aqua advised. As soon as she looked fine, Aqua jumped off, gave Kairi her hand.
"C'mon, let's go." "Where to...?" "Land of Departure. I'll be training you to become a keyblade master so you could find Sora. Strong enough to protect him." "... but Sora's gone." "He isn't. Do you think Sora's the type to up and vanish?" "No... you're right. He has it too. We exchanged the paopu fruit..."
Kairi pulled out her wayfinder, which Aqua's face brightened upon seeing it. She pat her shoulder, and smiled.
"Kairi. There's always a way."
She took Kairi with her, to Land of Departure. Terra and Ventus were confused, but as soon as Aqua explained to them, they wholeheartedly accepted her, and Aqua gave her a room in the castle, in case she wished to stay over, and Kairi decided to live there during her training.
With time there, Kairi's condition tremendously improved- she barely cried, but she did every once in a while, and whenever Aqua was there, she'd comfort her by telling her to shout to the sky, because "Sora is listening." It eventually grew on Kairi, and the three always feel warm whenever they hear her renewing her resolve.
Little did they know though, living with Kairi made them learn a lot about her they didn't know before, and vice versa. Kairi never expected Aqua to be a fan of sweets, or that she would make them frequently. Whenever she'd see her making something in the kitchen, Kairi would offer to help so she could learn a thing or two in the kitchen. Though one day they decided to call over their other friends, and she came to learn that even Terra and Ventus can cook (and quite good at it!) when they helped out making meals for everyone.
"I'd never expect you two to be good at cooking too! I mean, I was surprised to know Master Aqua did, but it's even more surprising knowing you two..." "You hear that, Aqua? She was surprised you knew how to cook." "Terra. The pot is boiling. And please, just Aqua is fine." "Aqua was the one to teach us, actually! She and the master were the ones to cook for us before we learned." "Ven! You didn't have to tell her..."
During their meal with everyone, Ventus was downright terrified of the amount of spiciness Kairi had in her plate. And she ate it all without any thought! Ventus worriedly poked her, and whispered:
"I-isn't that a little bit too much...?" "What is?" "The hot sauce... you poured it all over your plate..." "Oh, I just like spicy things." "But that's terrifying... the amount is." "Aw, it isn't really. Do you wanna try?" "N-no, thanks! Terra might like it... I think it's still too much." "Oh, maybe I'll let Terra try it then." 'I just sold Terra out... Terra, I'm so sorry....'
The training was always arranged by Aqua. She'd give her dummies or go with her to other worlds to fight enemies as training, her harder training was making Kairi battle with her. She went all out, but also reminded her of techniques and tricks she taught her. No matter when, how, or where, Aqua always had a present for her when she finished training, let it be a little snack or a rare item. Whenever Aqua's not available though, Terra and Ventus took her place. Their training was more relaxed, but required attention. Ventus taught her how to effectively use her keyblade at different positions, and predicting the enemies' movements to move first. Terra taught her about using terrain to her advantage, and how to perfect her timing for the most effective damage. Aqua taught her overall basics, along with recognizing an enemy's weak point, or the magical element they might be weak to, and how to know if a battle is too tough for her. All three had plenty to pass on, so Kairi was always thankful to learn from them.
Kairi's proudest moment was when she made Aqua fall in a fight, when she tries it again, she just barely makes her fall. She had grown strong enough that she could immediately finish Ventus off (and he's still salty about it), but whenever she fought with Terra, he would go ridiculously easy on her, and he'd always be bested, lying on the ground and laughing. Terra only offered to fight with her whenever she's feeling down though, so he could be a self-esteem booster for her.
"You've grown so strong! I bet you'll be strong enough to take down anyone in no time." "You think? I kept losing against Aqua for so long now." "Nah. Maybe you're overthinking, look how strong you are! Maybe you're just having a bad day. Lemme teach you some tricks you can try on Aqua tomorrow." "Okay, umm... thanks!" "Don't even mention it. Let's go!"
Speaking of Terra, he always managed (still does!) to find Kairi in her bad times, crying, angry, annoyed... he feels obligated to help her, so he always sat down and talked with her, a calm talk to help her sort out her thoughts. He's surprisingly good at it, because Kairi's mood always improves after every talk. Every time they finish up a conversation, he'd ruffle her hair with a smile and a little encouraging word.
Ventus was the most outgoing one of the three, so he was the one to take her along many strolls or just random visits to other worlds. They'd often go to Destiny Islands to pay Riku a visit and talk about Kairi's training. Ventus tended to make her far stronger than she actually is, and she always scolded him for that. But Riku just laughed.
"Sounds like you really toughened up to me."
Ventus would often bring home items from other worlds for Kairi and his friends, he often guessed what Kairi might like and brought it with him, and he was always spot on.
"Isn't this a paopu fruit hair clipping? That's so cute!" "Hehe. Naminé actually told me to give it to you." "Really? Tell her thanks next time you see her!" "Gotcha! Will do." "Now then, lemme try..." "W-wait, Kairi, I really don't want hair clippings-"
By the end of everyday Kairi had, she'd sit on her bed, notebook in hand, as she wrote her mind. As she put it down, she looked up at her room. Her room was shallow. Empty. But now with the time spent here, it changed. Silly decorations Ventus put up of pictures of them playing around in Disney Town. The first wooden sword she broke in training was fixed by Terra and hung up, along with a little picture of her holding it, sheepishly grinning. The wayfinder Aqua made for her as soon as she joined them was resting on her desk, glimmering a little under the moon's rays. The box under her bed, filled from silly gifts to precious mementos she got with them. She hummed a little, a blissful smile on her face, as she looked at the sky.
You won't have to wait long anymore, Sora.
@gigaburst02 said strelitzia x player and i have no problem wit that because i Want To Write More and strelitzia deserves to be happy
ok this'd be strelitzia asking the player on a first date since it's way too late for valentine's lol
also this can be th au where she's alive or not, but it is sometime before conflict began to arise in daybreak town, so this way i can be not an angsty bastard and add in sad things about war ok coolio lets begin!
It was the early morning. Strelitzia had told her friend a few days ahead about this, and she was ready, paitently sitting down on the roof, beautiful bouquet of roses in hand.
As soon as they arrived, she stood up carefully, and walked up to them, a big grin, both cheeful and bashful, and presented them the bouquet, which they pleasantly took.
"Hehe. Guess what? I grew those flowers all by myself."
They raised their eyebrows, impressed. They noticed a little card, which they tried to open and read, but Strelitzia stopped them, nervously fiddling with her hands as she spoke.
"Well, I want you to read that card later. Not now, becuase, um..." "It's okay, I understand." "Y-yeah, thanks."
The two parted ways and continued with their daily duties, collecting Lux and what not. The sun was setting and they had finally found some time to relax at home. They plopped down on the couch and opened the card and began reading.
"For all the joyous days that you and I had, the many days we forgot about time and laughed, a yellow rose. For the times you read me like an open book, when you held my hand through hard times, a pink rose. For your smile that makes me happy, and your gentleness that stole my heart, a red rose."
Jolting to their feet, they immediately ran in the evening streets to look for her. Running towards their meeting spot, they found her exactly where she waited for them earlier this morning. With a smile, they shouted.
"Strelitzia! Down here!"
As soon as she noticed them, she hurriedly stood up, before immediately regretting it; she fell back down, this time falling towards the ground. She wasn't the type to scream, she could only shut her eyes so tightly and pray for a miracle.
However, rushing to her side to catch her, they spread their arms wide and open, they managed to catch her, spin only a little bit, then falling down to the ground, laughing. Strelitzia wasn't though. Concern overtook her, but once she saw them laughing, she calmed down, letting a smile slowly form on her face as well. Though she couldn't hold herself from scolding them.
"You idiot! What if something happened to you?" "C'mon, it wasn't all that deadly distance. And like I'd let something happen to you!" "Don't do this ever again, okay!?" "Haha, fine, fine. I can't promise you, though. But..."
As Strelitzia got off them, they stood up, and immediately hugged Strelitzia, catching her completely off guard. She hesitantly hugged them back, and prepared herself mentally for any answer. Her heartbeat was so fast, she got concerned for herself for a second. Though as soon as they parted, Strelitzia stepped back, fiddling with her fingers.
"So... what do you think...?" "I'm so glad our feelings are mutual, Strelitzia." "R-really...? You like me too?" "Of course! I'm so happy..."
The two sat down near the fountain, talking about when their feelings first rose, how they felt and why. All during this talk, Strelitzia's shy and introverted nature kicked in, as her face was a bright red the entire time, though she slowly let her hand find its way to theirs, and twirl her fingers around theirs, taking in all the warmth, she almost immediately saw their face brighten up at her warmth, she loved that about them. Much to her surprise, their palms were really warm, almost sweaty. They must've been nervous and embarrassed, despite showing confidence most of the time. She loved that about them, too.
It was awfully late. Strelitzia stood up, stretching her body. They followed, but watched her silently from behind, with a gentle smile. She looked back, and cupped both of their hands, with the most satisfied, excited grin.
"You know that café nearby?" "Yeah...? What about it?" "Tomorrow afternoon.... are you free?" "Yeah, are we going there?" "Yep, for our first date...!"
They laughed, as they pulled her into another tight hug. She was laughing as well, leaning left and right playfully. They were in a bliss.
"I can't believe it, honestly! It still feels like a dream..." "You better believe it! I already have your gift for tomorrow ready." "Already!? You bet I can't lose to you, Strelitzia!" "Is this a challenge? 'Cause you can't beat me! I'll make sure you're the happiest person tomorrow!"
After a couple of minutes of exchanging silly compliments and banter, the two let go of each other- though smoothly, Strelitzia quickly planted a soft kiss on their cheeks, and without any chance to let them see her face, she quickly ran to her home, waving at them as she vanished inside. Though their face was no better, it seemed as if they stood under heat for ages. They shook their head, cupping the cheek she kissed in realization. Ahh. This must've taken all of her courage.
They grinned. They already began planning for tomorrow's date, they just needed to begin the work. They ran back to their home as well, both of their and Strelitzia's hearts beating excitedly.
The next morning, Strelitzia woke up, staring at her neatly wrapped gift affectionately, picturing their surprised face upon opening the gift... she couldn't wait.
Over at her loved one's house, they placed a pot by the window sill, containing all three flowers gifted to them. They giggled a little, as they taped on their new roses' names. It was silly, but they wondered if this is how Strelitzia would find joy in gardening, too.
They sighed, watching the glorious sunrise, with a fluttering heart. She, too, stood there, clenching her fist by her chest, with the widest grin she'd grin in a while. Under the same sky, with the same thoughts floating in their heads.
Today is going to be great.
spring has come, and now flowers bloom
the world's shortest and quickest fic (?) abt lauriam/marluxia coming in terms with his sister's death.
enjoy!
It was summer when you first disappeared.
I kept running all over the town, asking everyone who could've ever known anything about you. I even passed out numerous times for standing outside in such heat for long hours, and yet
no one could answer my questions.
With the immense heat, I kept seeing illusions of you, and I helplessly chased them, pathetically hoping one of them might truly be you.
The blond girl could only pat my shoulder and tell me you're safe, and we'll find you. That resting is priority and all that junk.
But how will we, if we hadn't given it our all?
It was autumn when I nearly gave up.
The worry ate away at my soul. Where on earth could you be? Are you safe? Are you happy?
The orange fallen leaves reminded me of the flower you were named after. Are you... perhaps, up there? No. That can't be it.
But it sometimes feels like you truly left this world, for I haven't found any trace of you yet. I swallow, my throat is dry.
I gaze at your empty desk, with withered, dried up flowers resting on it.
It was winter when I accepted it.
I had left for every world we were let in. I had looked for you in all of your favorite spots. I had to double check your room if you truly weren't there and if this was all just a big dream.
Oh, I wish it was.
The wind blows fiercely, as the teardrop that formed at the corner of my eye warmed my cold face. She shook me by my shoulders, begging me to go inside, telling me I'm mad for staying outside.
Does that really matter now?
Does anything... really matter now...?
As she yanked me by my arm, barely carrying me on her back, the last thing I remember that day is the tear-blurry image of her face, and her two pointy devil horns. But her wailing still echoes in my empty mind.
Then I drifted into a long sleep.
It was spring when I awakened.
My heartbeat was steady. I took a look around me. Flowers surrounded me. I had no idea where I was.
I looked to my right, to see a fully bloomed strelitzia. To my left, to find a beautiful scythe.
A grim reminder, yet a source of relief. You must be resting now, I'm sure it's safer up there than it is here.
I picked up the strelitzia, hoping to keep it with me, a reminder of you, both grim and comforting.
And I picked up the scythe, hoping to grow stronger, far stronger than anyone to protect what matters.
As I got up, an iris beautifully bloomed in front of me. A symbol of hope. I picked it up.
I am a fool, for what fools do is hope and believe endlessly.
And I believe and hope that one day, you'll come back, I'll find you, and bring you back home.
Until then, it is your time now. Bloom beautifully in paradise, Strelitzia.
Hi, I really like that Strelitzia is alive headcanon, but I was wondering what would happen if Ephemer introduced her to the Player?
omg ahhh bless your soul this is so cute!!
I kinda got excited with this one, I coulda just written a fic but it's still in bullet points lmao
read while listening to kh3 dearly beloved for best experience, it just feels softer this way
Thank you for your ask, and hope you enjoy!
A few days after beginning her work with the Dandelions, Ephemer enthusiastically approached Strelitzia, who had her eyes glued to the book. He asked her about meeting a friend of his.
"You know, they're a really nice person. They don't talk much either- that reminded me of you. I thought you two would be great friends."
Strelitzia absentmindedly agreed, while her head was swarmed with thoughts and plans for the future. However, she almost immediately regretted it when the day came and Ephemer called for her. She eventually managed to be cozy around the Dandelions because her brother was around. But alone? With another stranger too? That seemed utterly unnerving to her.
As Ephemer was slowly taking her by the hand out of the Foretellers' Chamber, while trying to comfort her by telling her about his friend. She looked at her brother desperately, hoping he'd help her out of this situation. He did nothing but laugh and wave though, so she sighed and gave up, though when she looked back at Ephemer, she noticed him smiling back at Lauriam.
They walked through Daybreak Town, everything looked peaceful, except Strelitzia was praying under her breath that his friend wouldn't be able to make it, or anything, really, as long as she gets out of this.
Walking down the long stairs, she noticed a person sitting by the fountain, an awfully familiar person. Her mood completely shifting, her face slowly brightened up, and her speed increased. She was practically running down the stairs now. Upon notice, Ephemer grinned, and began trying to match her speed, because she was fast.
As soon as her feet hit the ground, she stopped to catch her breath, and Ephemer followed shortly. She looked up, as they finally took notice, and looked behind to find the two. Upon seeing their face, Strelitzia's face glowed.
"It really is you!"
As she and Ephemer approached the fellow wielder, Strelitzia excitedly, yet nervously began.
"Hello, I'm…" "Strelitzia, right? Ephemer told me a lot about you. It's nice to meet you!" "M-me too!"
After calming down her excitement and nervousness, all three sat down together by the fountain. Ephemer's friend began by talking about what Ephemer told them about her, while Strelitzia eagerly listened and clarified things when they asked.
"He told me that you plant flowers, that sounds incredible!" "It isn't that much, really… it helps me calm down and recollect my thoughts." "It's still amazing. Plants require immense care and attention, so you must be a patient person." "W-well, thank you…"
Strelitzia began talking about how she came to know them in the first place, although a little strange, they laughed at how they could've met so many times before, but never took notice.
"I'm so glad I finally got the chance to finally meet you, though." "So do I, I'm genuinely happy I got to meet you too. You're a great person!" "Hey, I brought it up, so you two better thank me!"
Time passed, and the three continued talking. Ephemer noticed the two were much, much more talkative than they usually were, in fact, this is the most he'd seen the two speak. Strelitzia's face seemed less stiff, more relaxed, and the smile on her face was natural. While his friend looked gentler than usual, their eyes and mind completely focused on the topic, their eyes a little tearful from laughing so much.
Eventually, the sun was setting, and the two had to go back, and their friend needed to go as well, their party called them for a mission a while ago. Strelitzia stopped midway, and looked back, called her new friend at the top of her lungs, and excitedly shouted,
"See you soon! Let's meet up again!"
And they didn't fail to respond.
"Yeah, we will!"
After breaking the assembly and the Dandelions left for home, she and her brother were still walking back home. The walk was calm and silent, until Strelitzia broke the silence with a grin.
"Wow, this is certainly the first time in a while I've seen you this happy. How was it?" "… I made a good friend today." "Well, figured. Glad to know, now take good care of that friend." "I will!"
After they returned home, they chatted together and Strelitzia learned that Lauriam told Ephemer about the whole deal, and this was all planned by him. She felt a little betrayed, her actions were questionable, and thankfully Ephemer wasn't the one to judge. But in the end, she couldn't blame him; after all, she finally befriended them.
AU where Strelitzia is alive.
A.K.A The AU where the Dandelions have to witness the daily sibling banter between her and Lauriam. I would die for this to be real but Tetsuya Nomura is mean and I can't oppose the man or else he throws me in a virtual reality and I die there. Also I'll just add in both of the potential murderers because I Like It Peaceful™.
Enjoy!
As soon as Strelitzia walked to the meeting spot, the first words she spouts are "Why are YOU here?" and begins hurrying to get a clearer look. The pink haired man is as surprised, more pleasantly though, as he bursts laughing. The last one he'd expect to be a Dandelion is his timid, shy sister, but he couldn't be happier.
As soon as the two clear up the confusion between them, they shuffle back to the Dandelions, and Strelitzia begins introducing herself.
"My name is Strelitzia, it's a pleasure to meet you all. Lauriam is my big brother."
As soon as they introduced themselves to each other, they began their work as Dandelions. Though things are heavy, the air always feels light with those two around.
While Ephemer tries to discuss some things in the book with Strelitzia in the Foretellers' Chamber, she seems to be at a loss for words, as she doesn't understand a number of things the book mentioned. Lauriam, overhearing the conversation, would walk up to him and ask about which topic he's talking about, only to kneel next to his sister, with his book in his hands, he begins to explain to her, whilst familiarizing some things to trivial topics they know about.
"Like in that one story you read, the Keyblade War would be a grim end. We're here for what's to come afterwards." "So we're the flowers to bloom after the storm!" "Exactly."
While Skuld didn't think much of Lauriam, the two would occasionally talk about everyday life, and things they find interesting. Strelitzia would often join, though most of the time she'd be listening and nodding to them, and when she talks, she talks about simple things, and sometimes about the friend she had finally made. But when she's comfortable enough, she would talk about things she's usually too stiff to talk about with new people, and that includes a lot of family moments. Whenever she talks about Lauriam, he's always either too late to stop her or oblivious to the story.
"I was sick once, and Lauriam left with his Chirithy to bring me some herbs. He did bring the herbs and everything, but he hadn't realized that the Chirithy he left with was mine." "Yeah, I remember that- wait, really?" "Yep! Your Chirithy was panicking by my side. After I reunited with mine, it told me you are waay more gentler than you let on." "I mean, that's nicer than your previous story... but also still kind of mean." "I still have more to tell, you know!"
Ventus began a conversation with Strelitzia and Lauriam, starting with an excited "Strelitzia is a flower!" and they dove into the topic. Strelitzia only thought it's a beautiful name and how she wished to plant it one day, but Lauriam being a flower enthusiast, talked about the flower, and brought up the fact that he may be the reason for her name, as Strelitzias were Lauriam's favorite kind as a child, and also worked as a beautiful name. Continuing the conversation, Strelitzia began,
"Ventus means wind, right?" "Yep, I think it's a bland name... It doesn't feel as interesting as yours." "Well! Maybe one day, you'll meet people who'd give more meaning to your name." "Yeah... hopefully."
With Blaine starting the Dandelions' work with creating a Dream Eater akin to Chirithy, Lauriam stayed behind with him while Strelitzia and the rest ran off to bring the needed ingredients. Strelitzia would keep coming back though with obviously wrong ingredients, and it eventually gets on Lauriam's nerves.
"Strelitzia, how on earth did you think this is Luminous Moss?" "Well, sorry for not being an expert on Luminous Moss..." "Strelitzia, honey, it doesn't take an EXPERT to know this is a frog." "They're both green!" "Yes, both green, but one is a LIVING BEING! Please, return the poor guy home." "Geez, fine..."
Sometimes other Dandelion members come back into the chamber midst their little fight, but he eventually shows her the ingredient in her book, and reminds her to look in it to compare what she found to the ingredient, but accompanies her when she finds something similar, but hard to reach.
some good ephemer headcanons
or is it??!?? anyway, ephemer usually looks calm in-game, so idk if this actually matches how he actually is lol
hope you enjoy!
This boy almost never sits down. He's always out there, running around, either collecting Lux or discovering the worlds. In his off days, he just stays inside, either tiredly researching or snoring loudly out of exhaustion.
He's a fool with a big heart, much like Sora- but not too foolish. He usually jokes around and is very energetic, easy to trust you, but easier to doubt you if he could feel something's off, and he wouldn't heisitate to be forward about it. Though, as long as he finds out you're nothing shady, he's quick to apologize and make up for it.
He is incredibly fond of his scarf, and would probably never remove it. He's very protective of it, and tends to make sure it's clean and smells good. When confronted by Skuld, as they were in Agabrah and she could see the poor boy melting away, he only said it's 'something special given to him when he was younger.' However, he wouldn't go into more detail, and would only grin and say "it's a secret!"
When he gets complimented, he usually replies with a cheeky "I'm pretty great, aren't I?" and a laugh. Though, when he gets a geniune, heartfelt compliment, he's at a loss for words. Shyly, he nods and thanks the person for their kind words, while trying to find a way to mention the positives in the other person. He isn't good at handling geniune emotions, but he tries his best.
Finally, the boy's position as a Dandelion made him feel the need to be more serious about it. He reduced the laughs and jokes, but not completely. He switches to the same research mode he goes in at his home. He likes to think he is doing good as a Dandelion, but the mere thought of a war between so many beloved wielders makes him incredibly fearful, and griveous, because as a Dandelion, he is simply 'running away.'
