a wild keaton, fresh from “infiltrating” (read: let in) the church grounds, stalks his prey. the resident holy man, seteth ( or something something ). a man who absolutely refuses to give him much of a glance, until now!! he’s quick to pounce---hop in front of his prey, and get all up in his face.

there’s only the loud echoing clapbacks reverberating back as keaton smacks seteth’s tiddies and promptly makes a run for it----!!

HEADCANON. keaton gets uncomfortable with genuine praise regarding anything outside of his abilities (or treasures!!!). he knows people can’t seem to figure out why he adores things others consider trash, and knows that his appearance, personality, and likes aren’t considered generally “pretty” or “favorable”. he takes a lil bit of offense when people call his treasures trash. 

tl;dr he’s a HUGE softie that gets his feelings hurt very easy and has appearance self-esteem issues. he makes up for it with excitement and lots of affection!

❛  don’t you dare take another step, fiend !  you said that last time !  ❜  he puts a gloved hand out to insist on keeping some semblance distance between himself and keaton. it’s not that laslow wants to treat him this way, but the last time he was so eager to see what  ‘ treasure ’  keaton had in store, he was worried he might need a trip to the healers tent if it bit him. 

❛  gah. okay. whatever you have, take it out SLOWLY.  and don’t throw it in my direction this time !  ❜

‘ what? WHY---? ’ everything about keaton just---DROOPS as he slides to a stop. tail, ears, & shoulders all slump & his face furrows into a pout. his expression slides from wounded puppy to mildly exasperated; signaled along with a twitch of his ear. ok----so MAYBE the last treasure wasn’t THE BEST but it was still good!! the patterns on that spider were so unique. RUDE... then laslow bends & keaton perks up visibly, tail already swaying even though his voice is grumbled through his forced frown.

 ‘ w---well. i don’t know. maybe i don’t wanna show you anymore!     it’s not like it’s a present for you or anything... ’

   He couldn’t help but blink to the PURE EXCITEMENT the other showed as well as tried to mask. Ah, but a tail is always honest now isn’t it? Rather cute really, but that will be something the dancer will keep to himself as he does on most his thoughts. Simply nodding before smiling he showed the plate to the taller male.

      ❝ I don’t mind at all, hopefully it’s something you’ll like really. ❞

‘ well---!! o--only ‘cause it looks like a lot to eat by yerself. so really, i’m just HELPING you out... ’  his face doesn’t match his half-heartedly terse tone, the muted excitement at trying new food is still gleaming there & obvious in the frantic swing of his tail. keaton sniffs then quickly snatches up a chunk before he can be denied.

 ‘ ----WOAH! this is good. what IS IT? d’ya got more?! ’

‘ LASLOW--!! ’ keaton crows out loudly, a wide grin stretched across his face and tail waggling behind him as the wolfskin bounds up to the other just a little too fast. 

‘ look, look! i found this really cool THING---!! a real TREASURE! ’

          ‘  –  mrrh  ?  ‘  don’t mind him finding entertainment with playing with the others wagging tail,  human  -  esk fingers gliding themselves through the rugged fur.  his wasn’t as silky as his own  -  the texture was merely awful,  but,  it was obvious the kitsune found contentment with using it as a mere play  -  thing.  

‘’m gonna start to think you just like picking on me. ’ he tries to feign being off-put, he does. he tries so hard, but the wagging of his tail only increases upon realizing it’s kaden playing with his tail---even if his face tries the opposite. it’s a flustered sort of frown & a not-quite downward curve of his lip that sits on his face while deft fingers work through matted fur. his words are soft & half-hearted at best, lined with the amusement he’s desperate to hide.

    ‘ hey.... you gripe about my fur but y’can’t keep yer hands off it. what’s the big idea? ’

WOULD HE----?! keaton’s face lights up at the prospect the second food is offered, ears perked & tail waggling in earnest. his eyes TWINKLE. he quickly tries to cover up his excitement----sans his tail, the betrayer. 

     ‘ really? y’don’t mind sharing? uh---ahem. yeah. yeah if that’s ok...? ’

AWO. you act like keaton isn’t a tail wag away from finding kaden the PRETTIEST beast stone in the world for him. FOOL. BECAUSE HE IS. 120% READY TO POUNCE.
