I love the Sirius Black that yearns for Remus Lupin on years on end, and treats him like the softest, most precious entity in his life.

I love the Sirius Black that is so dependent on James Potter, that maybe, just maybe, he’s in love with his best friend.

I love trans Regulus Black that is snarky, and insecure about his gender identity, who unexpectedly finds solace in his brother’s best friend.

I love strong regulus black who wholeheartedly believed in blood supremacy until he didn’t, and does what he thinks is right in any given moment. Be it murdering muggle-borns, or fighting against the one thing he swore his life to.

I love soft Regulus Black who just wants to be understood and loved, and would do anything for his brother BUT I also love the angry Regulus Black who hates his brother for leaving him.

All that to say, headcanons are headcanons, and there’s no singular “correct” HC. They can exist in every way the author deems them to exist, and it would be great if people stop hating on other’s HCs just because they don’t agree with it in their head.

Zoned out, curled up in your bed, finding comfort in the warmth of the blankets.

That’s how Remus found you.

He wasn’t planning to see you like this, yet consequently does after coming into your dorm for one of Lily’s potion books. Witnessing your upset state made him immediately frown.

Gently, he calls out your name, not wanting to startle you. You look up at him, yet based off of your expression and body language Remus knows something was immediately wrong.

“What’s the matter, love?” He asks, voice soft.

Your reply is simple, “I guess I just miss mum and dad.”

Oh. Remus thinks. He’s not used to homesickness.

He doesn’t know what to say, but he knows how to help. You notice the bed dipping slightly under his weight as he gets under the covers next to you, and the warmth of his body as he wraps his arms around you.

You’re homesick, sure, but in Remus’s arms, home doesn’t feel so far away.

My Peter is soft. He's got kind eyes and a gentle smile. He has smile and laugh wrinkles because he's always smiling. He's a little shy but is so loud and joyful around his friends.

My Peter has a green thumb. He has so many plants, knows the unique schedules and needs for all of them. He knows what they can be used for in any situation. They all have names.

My Peter loves to sing. He hums little tunes whenever he's doing tasks like homework or cleaning. He sings in a choir, any song from rock to country to pop. And when his friends can't sleep, he sings them soft lullabies.

My Peter is not book smart, but street smart. He can read people super easily, always the first to notice when something is up. He's observant and calm in stressful situations.

My Peter is a good friend and trustworthy. He is the distraction in the pranks a lot because everyone at school trusts him and he was the "good kid."

My Peter's betrayal hurt 10 times worse. Because he was more than a whimpering follower of fame and popularity. He is an equal and a friend.

I’m actually dying thinking of Harry having no idea who his parents were. He learned so late in his life how Lily was not just pretty, she was smart, intelligent, kind, a talented wizard, a courageous Gryffindor. He learned from Hermione that his father played Quidditch and was fucking good at it. He never had Uncle Padfoot telling him stories about his parents and he even learned about the existence of his two uncles when he was 13. 13!!! He grew up having no sense of family or having any clue what his parents looked like. Maybe he saw some pictures of Lily when she was a baby or young in Petunia’s album pictures, but the Dursleys never, ever, had a picture of James or Lily’s and James’ wedding. Harry had to wait so long to see his parents together and to see James face, and he thought for so long his parents maybe didn’t love him because no one told him otherwise.

they are my favorite people ever.

I just love that Wolfstar dynamic where they are basically married and absolutely refuse to acknowledge it.

Like, they live together, and Remus is doing Sirius’s laundry because “you clearly don’t know how to separate colors and I can’t keep looking at pink underwear that used to be white,” and Sirius is like “fine, but I’m making you breakfast all week to repay you,” as if this isn’t the fifth week in a row.

They’re sitting on opposite sides of the couch, legs tangled together, sharing a blanket and a book, both pretending they don’t notice their knees touching like it’s not the most intimate thing either of them has ever experienced.

Sirius wakes Remus up every morning with coffee just the way he likes it but it’s “not a big deal Moons, I was making one anyway.” and Remus carries around two jumpers and two sets of gloves in winter because Sirius always forgets his but that’s “just practicality.”

Remus knows Sirius’s exact tea preferences, preferred sleeping position, and the fact that he gets quiet when he’s overwhelmed. Sirius knows Remus gets headaches when he reads too long and that he pretends not to care when he very much does.

They go to events together. They leave together. If one of them gets invited somewhere without the other, the immediate response is “oh, I’ll check if we’re free that day.”

Remus patches up Sirius’s leather jacket by hand and pretends it’s because he “was already sewing, so might as well.” Sirius knows exactly how Remus likes his eggs, and Remus the way Sirius overwaters plants, but never says anything about it.

And they genuinely think they're just really good friends who happen to share a flat, a dog, grocery bills, and an unspoken rule about not going to bed angry.
