its been a couple months but im literate now i legit just woke up one day and suddenly it all made sense

the thing is not only am illiterate in thai but for the time being i have no intention of becoming literate. like if i wanted to use a textbook i could sit down and learn the writing system in the first unit and do it. but i feel like becoming literate too early in the learning process is a serious detriment to all the finer details and more essential parts of the language. that's where i went wrong with every language i suck at

Harakiri refers to ritual suicide by disembowelment, aka seppuku, but I think that’s clunky as a translation so stabbed in the stomach by you ‘tis. 

Killer Killer is a play on the onomateopeia キラキラ kirakira “sparkling.” 

Blue Blue is a play on the onomateopeia ぶるぶる buruburu “shaking.”

Not sure if this is right but if it is, isn't it just so beautiful?

also need to mention how sick it is that thai has a native vulgar word for the clitoris that's not a euphemism. never seen a language do that before. usually that kind of treatment is reserved for the male genitalia.

I’m not certain what this means but five rounds makes sense.

I believe this part is in Isan and I don’t speak Isan at all so take it with a grain of salt. 

“Sir” is kind of a weird translation but it’s the best I’ve got. The line is pretty formal. In Thai (and presumably Isan) speaking formally with your partner is considered romantic.

I’m confident about the Friday/Saturday part, but not Monday/Sunday. 

I feel like this must be some sort of metaphor but it’s completely lost on me.
