ok so this is nothing like what i usually post but im getting desperate

how the fuck do i fix my italics on ao3...

i use reversi skin (dark mode basically) on my phone and laptop and i've tried resetting it to default, hiding work skins etc etc and i can see italics on fics perfectly fine on my laptop but they dont show up when i use ao3 (on chrome) on my phone????

(yes i am using a klance fic for reference - it's called "Call Me, Beep Me" [g rated] and its mostly a textfic so ik its got italics but the images are default + dark mode on my phone and then dark mode on my laptop for reference. keith is supposed to be italicised and pidge is supposed to be bolded.)

GENSHIN AGE HC'S: LIYUE (2/3)

uhm not including Shenhe and Yun Jin bc I know literally nothing abt them (sorry about that y'all) :sobs: i just wanna hold them gently. I'm sorry if this has any lore/grammar/spelling mistakes in it please let me know if it does!!

also Childe is included bc I'm not gonna do a post just for him (even tho I love him)

Ningguang: 30 (at least, probably closer to 33). She's the richest mortal in Teyvat, of course she can't be like, 25. It just doesn't make sense.

Beidou: 32. It's clear from her hangout that it's been quite a while since she went back to her childhood home, and she's been with the Crux fleet for a fair amount of time, and I'm assuming she wasn't just BAM captain, so this seems fair.

Ganyu: 2500. I think this is around her canon age, but she looks to me like she's in her twenties. She's so sweet :sobs:

Xiao: 2600. I'm pretty sure his lines "About Xiao" say he's over 2500 so this makes sense to me, but looks wise, I'd place him at like 20 because he looks so small.

Hu Tao: 22. She's the owner of a successful business, but she seems young and lively enough to not have lost that spark that a lot of people lose once they hit mid to late twenties (no hate here tho).

Chongyun: 15-16. He fits this age, it makes sense. It just does. Also he's in the same age bracket as the Mond/Liyue teens.

Xiangling: 17. I'm pretty sure it's canon that she's around this age, and it just makes her achievements all the more impressive tbh. I love this girl with my whole heart.

Xingqiu: 16. My favourite prankster. This lad is genuinely a fave (to play and also character-wise), and he's around the same age as Chongyun, so...

Zhongli: 4000. Liyue has been around for 3700 years, and Zhongli (was) one of the 2 original archons left. Looks wise, I'd say maybe 30-33? I'm not sure, I think because of the way he acts and speaks he seems older than he looks.

Xinyan: 17. She seems like one of those teen performers that actually has talent, but also she reminds me of teenagers I've seen.

Yanfei: This might be a bit odd, but 28 at the least. She's Liyue's top lawyer, there's no way she could remember that stuff that takes years to learn, also let's not forget adepti don't really age and she's 1/4 (I think) adeptus.

Qiqi: 1000. I haven't read up on her lore or anything but I know she's old, but looks wise I think 8 or 9. I'm not sure she just gives off those vibes man.

Keqing: 28. She's one of the most influential people iirc, and she's well trusted. It just fits.

Childe: 22-24. I'm not sure of his exact age but I feel like he's somewhere around there because while he looks older, he acts a bit younger and also his time in the abyss probably aged him a lot more than we think it did (time moves differently there, it could have been 4 years for him but really only 2 in Teyvat etc), also he's the youngest Harbinger.

GENSHIN AGE HC'S: MONDSTADT (1/3)

as promised here is the genshin stuff!!! I've decided to share my genshin age hc's. This is how I see them. And yes this might be disregarding some canon, time moves weird in Teyvat and I really don't think that everyone can be like, 20 because really where are the responsible adults in which case.

Bear in mind, while I have all of the 4* in here, most of them are friendship 1-3 (with a few exceptions), and so I haven't unlocked many voice lines about them, and I also have 2 5*, and not all of their lines have been unlocked either. Also I did the story quests ages ago (like, August?? I think? Before Inazuma), so my memory might not be the best.

as usual, it's gonna be split into 3 parts (one per nation available)

MONDSTADT

Diluc: at least 30 man has eyebags, goes out at night to fight and runs a bar. he's tired let him sleep. Also he's literally the owner of the whole wine industry in Mondstadt, possibly the best in Teyvat.

Kaeya: 25. He's younger than Diluc, but he hangs out and drinks with Venti and Rosaria, so I'd like to think that he wouldn't hang out with people who are heaps older/younger than him (it's just awkward man). I'm not too sure how old he is based on all the lore, there's a lot to go through but I DO think he ages at a different pace to everyone else.

Jean: 30. There is no way this woman is 24 Varka would NOT leave a lass that young in charge also she's Diluc's childhood friend they're around the same age.

Lisa: 32. Okay, hear me out. She's older than Jean and also her lifespan was cut in half. Let's say she was like 24 when she got the power. That makes her 3/4 through her life now. Makes sense right?

Klee: This child is 7. I do not make the rules. She's old enough to know right from wrong and judging by her speech patterns, knows words but messes them up sometimes. Also how else would everyone forgive her for blowing heaps of stuff up?? You're way more likely to forgive a 7 year old who goes "I'm sorry, I didn't know :(" (I won't though).

Diona: 11-12. I think it's canon that she's around this age, but also she's old enough to know her dad's an abusive asshole (he hits her when drunk), but young enough to try and delude herself about it. Poor girl :(

Venti: Chronologically he's around 6000, he's the only "original" archon left, and Rex Lapis was over 6000 years old when he died, therefore, old. Looks-wise, probably around 23-24. Diluc knows he's old enough to drink, and regularly serves him alcohol, even before it's known that Venti is Barbatos.

Rosaria: 24. I think that despite being a bit goth or emo, she's actually kind of young, especially in comparison to the other nuns.

Barbara: 16. This girl is 16 no one can convince me otherwise. Unfortunately this does mean that Albert is creepy but we already knew that.

Bennett: 16. I think in one of his birthday mail things it says how he's only had 4 birthdays on his actual birth day (29th Feb), so he's 16.

Fischl: She's canonically 16, she was 14 when she got her vision and no electro visions have been handed out for 2 years.

Razor: also 16, however he's slightly feral, so y'know. He probably acts a bit younger and didn't have proper schooling so may seem stupid (poor boy, he's smart I promise).

Amber: 21. In the webtoon, she complains that Kaeya still treats her like a rookie, and I think that being a young adult kinda suits her, she's bubbly and hasn't really "given up" on being fun (I suppose). It's also stated multiple times that while she's allowed to drink, she chooses not to do so very often.

Noelle: 19. I think she's just into adulthood mainly because Jean doesn't want her being a knight yet due to overworking herself, and I think that Jean also wants her to have a bit of freedom while she's young before she gets "locked" into a strict life of being a knight.

Sucrose: 22. She's a responsible young lass, and in the latest Dragonspine event we get to see her sassier side (talking to Timaeus).

Albedo: I'm not actually sure. He isn't a "real" human, so I'm not sure he ages like everyone else. If I had to choose, I'd go with 25-26.

Mona: 19. I struggled a bit with coming up with her age, partially because of her outfit (literally wtf girlie you are in a leotard and tights how do you not freeze also don't you think its a bit racy (even compared to the other "fanservice" outfits)), but also partially because surely if she were older she would've gotten a job by now (that sounds so mean omg) (usually people are reluctant to hire younger people for fear of them messing it up).

Eula: 23. While her family is a bit old fashioned (read: incredibly rude and nasty to everyone who's not an aristocrat/Fatui), she's been hanging out with the Knights for long enough that she's changed. Kinda like the Gen-Z at Christmas dinner, if you will. That said, I do think that she's a little bit older than Amber, despite them hanging out a lot.

I think I got everyone but I'm so sorry if I missed someone!! Please let me know if I did!

Once again, these are just my headcanons about ages, it's not really "canon", although most of them fit in the "canon" age brackets they've been given.

i forgot what i was originally gonna post so have some genshin randoms

- diluc has eyebags and stubble (love it when hes drawn like that, hes working in a bar and has to deal with drunks late at night of course hes gonna be tired)

- kaeya on the other hand is literally physically incapable of growing facial hair ig its just his kaenri’ahn genes coming through

- diluc used to tease him for that pahaha

- both brothers want to reconcile but they think the other doesnt want to so they dont :(

- venti would totally listen to lady gaga, so would zhongli

- literally most of the characters should be in therapy, if they refused to go i would physically drag them into a session poor babies :(

- jean and diluc used to date then realised they were both ~not straight~

- and jean got with lisa bc literally listen to their voicelines i refuse to believe it if theyre not canon

- kaeya trans ftm bc my friend noticed that hes the only male character to have the same amount of lower lashes as the girls...

- childe makes a lot of friends bc traveler brings different people to beat him up each week and they have a picnic with healing food at the end so he knows a lot of people

- first time traveler brought raiden childe literally cried

- paimon forgives kaeya for lying to them in his story quest (my ears got absolutely blASTED by her crying when that happened btw) but only after many food trips

- childe recognises diluc when traveler brings him to the domain and just goes ":0 yOURE THE ONE WHO GOT BANNED FROM SNEZHNAYA FOR CONSTANTLY BEATING THE FATUI UP OMG I REMEMBER YOU :D" and diluc is like "ive never met this man in my life" (lies)

- kaeya refuses to shut up about it for literal weeks

- scaramouche has kicked childe in the nuts so many times its a miracle childes not dead/unable to have kids (who knows maybe he cant)

okay but if Oikawa won against Japan in the final he would totally sing "We Are The Champions" by Queen really loudly and the whole Argentina team (and parts of the audience) would join in.

and at the end he'd tell Iwa "it's okay, I have time for this loser" and kiss him bc he just would okay

also team Japan has no clue what he's singing but it sounds happy so it loses its meaning slightly but the sentiment is there

Looking around, I wondered, Had anyone else heard that sound? Apparently not, judging by the complete lack of reaction around me. Rising from my seat, I clicked my back, before walking in the vague direction of the noise that got my attention, hoping there would be some indication of where I should go. Perhaps there was a reason I was the only one to hear it. Maybe it's the genie again.

Wait a minute. There it was again. I closed my eyes, ears straining for something. What exactly, I didn't know.

A short while later, I stumbled upon a grove. Weird, I could've sworn I was in the city earlier. My gaze drifted up, up, up, following the trees. They stretched up and out, as far as I could see, and probably further. Movement to the far right caught my eye, and I crouched instinctively. Is this another bounty hunter? Being ageless meant there were a lot of people willing to torture for the secret to looking relatively young forever.

Satisfied that there was no immediate threat to my life, I slowly got out of the crouch, trying to limit my movement as much as possible. Turning towards where I'd first seen the movement, I squinted as a small figure shuffled towards me. It seemed normal, but the strange thing was, its hair was made up of trees, swooping up and reaching for the forest tops. Stunning foliage crowned its head, magnificent birds and other fauna flitting throughout, catching the light at seemingly impossible angles. The amount of weight on its head was likely to be the cause of the hunched-over silhouette they gave.

"W-what are you?" My voice was full of incredulity, it couldn't be mistaken for horror or anything other than respect and awe.

"I, child, am an immortal. And judging by your face, you are somewhat immortal as well. Not in the same way as I am though," Unlike it's wizened body, the voice was rich and melodic, and surprisingly pleasant to listen to. "Well, child?" It didn't seem mad that I hadn't responded, probably aware that I had a lot to take in.

"Uh, yeah. Sort of. I wished for immortality, but a genie made it so that I was ageless instead. I'm not sure why though. I've almost been killed a heap," I was rambling, I knew, but how could you not in this situation? I was facing what could have been me, had the genie not twisted my wish.

I had to say, maybe the genie was looking out for me, because despite the immortal seeming happy, I could tell that it just wanted to be at peace once again.

Long ago, you made a wish for immortality to a genie but the genie twisted it and made you ageless instead. After meeting an actual immortal person, you look back on it and reflect on how the genie was actually looking out for you.
