no guys, focus on John. look at him. as soon as Eustace makes even the slightest show of aggression towards Sherlock, John is responding, moving towards Sherlock, leaning forward- defending territory, defending sherlock. even if he knows Eustace would not hurt him he still reacts, putting himself between Sherlock and danger. he’s basically saying “try something, i dare you.”

I think the thing that upsets me the most when captives die is the way people react to it. It’s always “omg the poor trainers! Poor SeaWorld!” Or “omg I’ll never see her again! I’ll never be her trainer!” It’s never “jfc this whale just died way too young of something that was probably related to their living situation and now the rest of their makeshift pod has to adjust to life without this important member”

“Every great cause has martyrs. Every war has suicide missions and make no mistake, this is war. One half of the human race at war with the other. The invisible army hovering at our elbow, tending to our homes, raising our children. Ignored, patronised, disregarded. Not allowed so much as a vote. But an army nonetheless, ready to rise up in the best of causes. To put right an injustice as old as humanity itself. So you see, Watson, Mycroft was right. This is a war we must lose.”
