Lorebloom is a triangular shawl with repeating open design and flowing motif with rows like opening pages.

Virus shawls are triangular in design and made of compounding fan stitches that you can request with or without Granny Square sections.

Squi is okay. Her digestion is still on the mend, so idk if she'll need to go back to the vet. She's, thankfully, oblivious to the situation.

Apt situation has turned on its head. Per my last update, the landlord assured me I can't be kicked out before the lease is up for being rude to my ex when he's acting vindictive. Alternative is, I have to figure out either a) self sufficiency through my own means, or b) meaningfully prove to DSS in this wrecked economy that I deserve assistance enough to receive it. I have not been able to sustain a traditional job since 2020, and overall for most of my adult life. This has not stopped the powers that be from terminating my applications, and giving me the run around for literal years.

Low Pain Day vs High Pain Day:

I have not received any orders or donations since the start of April, and Squi's vet bills have drained my funds to near zero. My deadline for which side of the "self-sustainability vs imminent homelessness" fence we'll fall on ends at the beginning of July.

I have been working on commissions and other creative endeavors to hopefully offset that and keep my mental health somewhat stable. I have also started on some digital art with the hope of offering listings/commissions there too, because my carpal tunnel is worsening. Love to be here.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence started when three friends banded together to dress as nuns and recite a loving and forgiving liturgy to drive homophobic evangelists off of Castro Street in San Francisco. It worked. The organization quickly expanded as an advocacy group for gay rights.

When asked why they are dressed as nuns, the answer was, "We do all that traditional nuns have done for centuries. Our look might be unique, but our ministry is common. We serve our community. We have raised lots of money for AIDS and other social causes. We visit the sick, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and sometimes disrobe the clothed! We are 21st Century queer nuns."

The Sisters primarily made a name for themselves through their AIDS activism. In 1982, The Sisters published Play Fair! which was the first humorous and easy-to-understand sexual health and safety pamphlet specifically intended for gay men.

The Sisters also used their presence to shame homophobic public figures, performing "exorcisms" on Phyllis Schlaffey, Jerry Fallwell, and Pope John Paul II, as well as on the steps of the U.S. House of Representatives.

In 2023, The Los Angeles Dodgers caused a huge controversy by selecting the Sisters to receive a "community hero award" on their Pride Night game (again, the Sisters are a legendary charity group that has literally saved lives), but then they gave in to right-wing pressure and cancelled it. Eventually, they realized how badly they had fucked up and re-invited the Sisters to their game.

The sisters remain active today with many chapters across the U.S. and Canada. Membership is open to all genders and sexualities.

I'm a homeless trans man seeking help for shelter or other necessities like phone service, transit pass, food, bath stuff, replacing worn out backpack/only pair of shoes. Left an abusive relationship last year. In + out of rooms. Been begging a long time, doing SW off+on.

Recently had hysto + not supposed to strain, be penetrated, or lift/carry heavy objects for several more weeks. Have a room til morning of Friday the 13th (June 2025). Cheapest rooms average ~$85/night day of, extending this one 60-75/night or less. If this room gets booked by someone else first, I have to carry my bags around to the next place, risking surgery needing to be redone.

Phone out of service, backpack+only pair of shoes falling apart, buying transit pass daily (3x more expensive than monthly), bath items depleted.

Phone is important for navigating, emergencies, + in case I hear back abt other surgeries, job applications, appointments, etc. Monthly plan: 35-45+tax. Monthly transit: 27 (v 2.70/day). Backpack/shoes: ~15-30 each. Bath stuff: out or nearing out of most stuff. Forgetting a bunch of stuff too, lacking most basic necessities constantly.
