If I had a nickel for every time a musical featured two teenage characters who wore uniforms, were best friends, and one was a smart, outgoing perfectionist, and the other was (usually) fat with curly hair and glasses and had a song where they finally find their own voice, I would have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice
