Playing around with backgrounds for the first time. I'm quite proud of them, but I might redo the Bismuth panel later.

This is the first page to the Prologue for Pearl Support Group.

4 Ponies Every Month! For January's Earth Pony: Frosty Step! She's themed around ice skating, and I'm starting to realize how much I love poofy and curly manes for ponies...

Continuing the Element Swap Ideas with Rainbowdash, AkA Solar Flare.

I imagine her "magic talent" is more about protecting those around her and teaching others to be kind.

Her Story:

Solar Flare always had a heightened sense of justice growing up. She was never good at school, but she was popular and made sure to protect those who would be bullied. Despite not studying, she always managed to have strong magic - but used it in unconventional ways. She was also really good at helping others make friends, seeming to know just how to get others to connect. She also admired Celestia greatly, hearing stories of her protecting others in the past. When Celestia disappeared at the summer sun celebration, she jumped into action to help out- pulling five other mares along with her.

I'm hoping to do more drawing this year, and part of that is to start making 4 ponies every month based on that month. So I'll be making 1 of each pony type; Earth, Pegasus, Unicorn, and Alicorn.

For January's Alicorn, I introduce Aroura Blaze. Obviously she's based on the Aroura Borealis, and I tried to incorporate that into her main and tail.

I imagine she probably joins Twilight on the throne at some point to help with the stars and night sky, and loves to add colours into it when she's able to. I also like to think she has her own holiday made that takes place in winter, where everyone helps put their own colors into the sky.

Princess Summer Sunrise!

If Fluttershy was the element of magic and became an alicorn, this is how I imagine she'd turn out.

I'm not fully sold on her cutie mark, I might honestly go back and fix it... I added a bit more colour to it here, but I'm still not sure.

Also, please excuse if my art looks different from piece to piece, I'm still trying to figure out my style and how to best draw them.

Meet Summer Sunrise! This is what I imagine Fluttershy would be if she were the Element of Magic instead.

I had an idea a couple days ago about how the main six would change if they were destined to become the different elements of harmony. I'm posting all of my Fluttershy Redesigns first, since she is my favorite pony. I don't really see her becoming a princess, actually I don't see most of my redesigns becoming princesses, but I'll probably make Alicorn versions of them anyway because it's fun. A bit of Background... Summer Sunrise was raised in the forest away from other ponies, showing a great prowess for magic that her parents weren’t sure how to handle. They managed to save up enough money to send her to Canterlot for a single year of magic school, where Celestia took a keen interest in her abilities. She personally paid for the rest of her schooling, and even reimbursed her parents for the year they did pay for. When the time came, Celestia encouraged Fluttershy to meet other ponies, and the rest is history.

Meet: Teal Sapphire Sapphire looked into the future, and saw destruction. Where beautiful plants and living creatures thrived, destruction and desolation would be left in it's place. She saw gemkind ripping taking the landscape and forging it to their own liking.

She saw centuries of destruction, leaving the planet hollow from everything except gems. Then, she saw them abandon the planet too.

She was heartbroken. And Sapphire could not except that.

So she started a rebellion.

Meet Mocha Pearl! She once served Fire Agate, but after the crew was stranded and her Agate disappeared, she joined Teal Sapphire and her crew. It took a while for her to break out of her shell, but eventually she grows close to a Howlite that was assigned to protect Sapphire.

Weapon: Initially didn’t have one, but was given a Stave in order to protect herself.

Personality: Mocha is what I would call a Quiet Extrovert. She loves meeting new people and being in crowds, but isn’t really one to take charge of social interactions. She is very agreeable, but tends to be a bit of a push over.

Meet the new element of Generosity: Diamond Tiara.

After graduating, she and Sweetiebelle moved to Manehatten together. Tia opened up a very successful shoppe, selling make up and fancy jewellery made by hoof. She works with small businesses to sell their products in her store, making sure they always get their profits back.

She's a little nervous to leave her shoppe for the annual Crusaders Reunion, but knows that it's in good hands with her assistant.

Pony Oc: Jonagold. AKA "Jona"

Background Character

Jona is a cousin to the Apple Family, currently living in Manehatten and running a bakery called the "Core and More" Bakery. While they do sell more than just apple-based confections, she is most known for her Tarte Tatin, and the delicious smell of her name-sake apples wafting into the streets from her open doors.

She recently took her annual trip to Ponyville for the Apple Family Reunion, where she noticed a "shadow-like" earth pony, alongside a... unicorn? with flowing yellow hair. How odd.
