So the other week I went to my local park to finally kick my football, after maybe 6 months (“ankle injury, could have gone pro”)… ⚽️ ☺️ I surprised myself, as I thought I couldn’t run on it… Full circle ⭕️ moment - I noticed a @suez_group bin, my new employer… Circa 2 months at SUEZ and it feels full circle - akin to the circular solutions we are proud to be part of creating for this world. 🗑 ♻️ And I got talking to a man who was emptying the bin, for the #LawnBowls club - he had such tales to tell. This drawing is actually one I chose to suspend from my art studio ceiling, with strings through the tiles, and I think I’d like to keep it there - unless it one day finds an art collector’s home...Art speak for, if you’d like to own this drawing or similar just let me know - I do adore my art being in homes where it is appreciated… #ArtIsForEveryone Happy to look at this drawing whenever I see it, and the memories it conjures up…Of a few years back, when I was drawing large scale on canvas, at the time trying to recapture the speed and energy of my Pen On Paper drawings. The other night, learning all about “Tunisia’s Liquid Gold”, as the world’s largest Olive Oil producer; 🫒A listening gathering at @p21_gallery courtesy of@kerningcultures and podcast producers @zeinadowidar @alexatack. As man, listening can be tough enough - I learned that; 🫒Brilliant insights from speakers Saran Ben Romdane, who has created her own Olive Oil from a single source in Tunis… @worldofkaia and Bouthania Ben Salem who created a London supper club @babeldeb … 🫒So much of the Olive Oil sold in Europe is actually of Tunisian origin…It’s relabelled or blended with Olive Oil from European countries… 🤯 🫒 I checked the labels in my local supermarket today - most Olive Oils are labelled with something like “packed in x country”, which disguises the origins… 🫒The farmers in Tunisia then receive a minimal piece of the cake…Ethical consumer choices aren’t always clear or accessible to us. 🫒Listening to a podcast can magically transport me there, with the sights and sounds of Arab streets - taxis and winding funny conversations…😄 https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn5Duv1o2BG/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
