In this episode, we had a totally normal conversation about one of our all-time favorite tv relationships, Dean Winchester and Castiel from Supernatural!

Not gonna' lie, we spent a lot of this episode just gushing about the insanity that is these two and their abject devotion to one another, but we did manage to make a few fairly coherent points about the relationship between trust and loyalty, the ways these two changed one another, and even discussed some of the really amazing ways the show created connections between important moments in the characters development through dialogue and cinematography choices. Supernatural with Mary Vigouroux & Jeremy Greer!

Hi friends!

As some of you may know, we lost a real one last week. Our incredible friend and fellow podcaster from Monster of the Week, Jeremy Greer, passed away. We were privileged enough to know him, and especially lucky to have him guest on our podcast last year, along with our amazing friend Mary Vigouroux from the Carrying Wayward podcast.

In this episode we had a bit of an introspective conversation about our experiences with Supernatural as a show and as a fandom community. Mary & Jeremy shared how they got into the show and some of their experiences with fandom. We also talked about the impact of the show as a queer story, the importance of normalizing queer stories in media, who we all relate to most in the show, and more.

While Jeremy was not part of the queer community, he was an incredible ally who continually championed queer fans and queer stories. He inspired us and most importantly, he supported our passions. We here at Totally Normal About That, along with Mary, would like to dedicate this episode to him.

Supernatural: Found Family Edition!

Hi Friends!

In this episode, we continued our discussions of Supernatural with a special episode dedicated to found family within the show! In addition to discussing Sam & Dean, we also discussed many other beloved characters, including (but not limited to) Bobby, Jody, Charlie, Garth, Donna, Claire, and of course, Castiel!

We discussed the different relationships these characters had both with the Winchesters and each other. We talked about how the show treated different aspects of found family and also the differences between how Sam & Dean related to certain members of their found family. Listen HERE!

not to get too deep on main but did anyone else have such deeply rooted issues with their self worth for so long that they thought as a kid/teen that their only redeeming feature was being “low maintenance” and now as an adult you give yourself guilt pangs asking for any more than the barest minimum in virtually any relationship because asking for things might negate your only good quality which is just “doesn’t ask for things”

Hi friends! You heard right! We've had so much fun this past year with Totally Normal About That, that we felt it was time to branch out and try something new!
