A simple spell to release stress
When we hold on to excess stress, it creates a blockage in our personal energy system. Imagine that your is body filled with tiny, invisible wires that carry energy from one point to the next. When you hold on to stress in a certain area, you tie a knot in the wires that keeps energy from flowing smoothly to the rest of your body. This can manifest as fatigue, lack of motivation, overwhelm, or other mental and physical symptoms. This spell is designed to untie those knots and let the energy flow freely.
This spell is very loosely adapted from the book Light Magic for Dark Times by Lisa Marie Basile, which I highly recommend for anyone looking to bring witchcraft into their self care practice or vice versa.
What you will need:
A piece of white paper
A pen or pencil
A bowl or cup of clean, fresh water (water from the tap is fine!)
(Optional) a few drops of lavender essential oil
Performing the spell:
Set aside some time when you can be alone and won’t be disturbed. If you like, set the mood by lighting candles, burning incense, or playing music. If you chose to include lavender oil, add it to the water now.
On the paper, write a detailed description of the situation that is causing you stress, and of how it makes you feel. Be as specific as possible. What emotions do you feel? Are there physical sensations associated with these emotions? Where in your body do you feel them? (If you are more comfortable drawing than writing, draw a picture that represents your situation and how it makes you feel.)
Keep writing/drawing until you run out of things to say. Get a second piece of paper if you need to. Don’t worry about making it pretty or even legible. What matters is that you get the emotions out and onto the page.
Fold the paper in half, folding it away from yourself; rotate it to the left and fold it again; rotate to the left again and fold one more time for a total of three folds. With each fold, repeat out loud or in your head, “I acknowledge these feelings and I let them go. I release.”
Submerge the folded paper in the bowl of water. Make sure it is completely covered. Watch it soak through, and watch the ink bleed from the paper.
Say, “Spirits of water, keepers of emotion and the subconscious, spirits of healing, help me to cleanse and release. Help me restore my energy.”
Allow the envelope to soak in the water for at least an hour before disposing of it.

Shut The Hell Up… Peace Spell
So basically i have dealt with noisy, rude, and non respectful neighbors all my life. Whether it was in my old apartment and now my home. This spell I created is a mix of a peace/calming ritual and a banishment spell. Banishing the noise yet bringing peace on top of that!
Items needed:
- A blue candle
- vinegar
- lavender oil or flower buds
- sage oil or leaves
- chamomile oil or flowers
- piece of paper and a pen
The first step I do is I sit down in a comfortable position with my pen, paper, and blue candle out. I write the words “Peace and Quiet is all i need. Peace and Quiet is What will be given to me.” I chant these words in my head and ask the universe and the energies to be with me. I light my candle and use my intention to imagine a space of calm, peace, quiet, and happiness. I see and vision myself resting well and the neighbors or whomever is being respectful and calm now.
After I finish my visualization I start making my vinagar mixture.I pour vinegar into my jar and then proceed to add in the sage, lavender, and chamomile. I place the jar on top of my paper that i wrote on earlier letting the energy soak into the jar. After I am ready i take my mixture and i will flick it in the space that is between my neighbors and I. I will flick it near the fence that borders our homes (i do not enter their property nor should you) if you live in an apartment you can flick towards the space that is in between you and whomever is causing you to be stressed and is being loud. After that try your best to have some quiet time! I hope this helps some of you! Sending you all love!

Offerings for Deities
It’s been a while since I’ve made a post. I’m going to address one of the most frequently asked questions I receive: How do I give offerings? For some reason, many beginner books don’t dive into the specifics of this religious practice which many are unfamiliar with. Hopefully this will help.
General Rules:
Offerings are given as thank-yous, as little gifts to say that you appreciate the deity’s existence. They don’t have to be expensive, but they should be special in your eyes. For example, I often offer donuts or wine simply because I don’t buy those two things often.
Offerings should be appropriate for the deity you’re giving them to.
You’re allowed to get creative with offerings–in fact, the Gods even prefer that you do!
How often you give offerings in accordance to your practice is up to you.
You may give apology offerings for any offense you think you may have made.
Prayers, songs, playlists, and there intangible gifts still count as offerings.
You do not need an altar to give offerings. You can give offerings anywhere, at anytime.
Simply saying “This is for you” makes the object an offering.
Food Offerings:
Most food offerings are eaten after being offered. The main exceptions are Greek chthonic deities, and ancestors, in which case you do not eat the offerings. Research your specific pantheon to make sure if eating is appropriate or not.
There is no set amount of time to leave out food offerings. In fact, many worshippers will eat said offerings right after they offer them.
If you do not eat food offerings, you may throw them away, saying something like, “Though I discard these physical offerings, the spiritual offering remains”.
You may also bury the offerings. Make sure that the offerings will not harm the surrounding environment or animals. Do not bury them in a jar or plastic bag.
If you offer herbs, you may either burn them using a charcoal block or cauldron, or you may throw them out/bury them. While burning is certainly traditional in many pantheons, do not feel the need to if you will be bothered by the potent smoke or handling fire.
Liquid Offerings:
Liquid offerings are handled in the same way food offerings are, with the exception of oils.
You do not have to drink oils after offering them. (Drinking straight olive oil is pretty gross, and please DO NOT drink harmful essential oils!) I recommend pouring them into the ground outside, or into the trash can.
You may pour liquid offerings into the offering bowl, or, you may keep the liquid offering in a cup. I have a special teacup that I often use for offerings such as tea, but any regular teacup will do. After all, you are offering the liquid, not the cup.
Incense and Candle Offerings:
According to tradition, these offerings must be left to burn out on their own. I recommend lighting small tea light candles for these offerings, as big candles burn for a long time. However, some modern Pagans may blow, rinse, or snuff them out early to prevent a fire hazard.
Make sure to be present while the offering is lit, and make sure nothing catches on fire.
If you are bothered by incense smoke, using an essential oil diffuser or unscented candle works fine.
Although many Pagans recommend incense as a general offering, you do not have to offer it, or any candles, if they bother you.
Plant Offerings:
If you offer a plucked flower, you may leave it on an altar or table until it withers. Afterwards you may throw it away. Basically, you handle it as any other friend would had you given them a plucked flower.
If you offer a growing or potted plant, tend to it as you would your other plants. If it dies, that’s okay. Simply discard it as you would normally. The Gods understand that plants die, and They appreciate the beauty of plants while they last.
Other Offerings:
For objects such as stones, shells, or family heirlooms, keep them on the altar or somewhere else special. Ideally, you will not need to throw these away. If they get damaged somehow, and if you cannot repair them, you may throw them out, but give an apology offering and try to replace them.
For artworks or crafts, place them on the altar or hang them somewhere. Don’t sell your offerings; they are gifts you gave to the Gods and not yours to sell.
For songs, play or sing them anytime you’d like to connect or give something to your deity.
For writings, you may keep them, or some people might burn them to “send” to their Gods. Whichever way is up to you.
For e-shrines or other technological offerings, keep them saved in their own folder, keep them nice and up-to-date.
For magical tools, such as grimoires or wands that you dedicate, feel free to use them as normal. Just take care of them, and remember to thank the deity you devoted them to once in a while.
For daily or private actions, such as cleaning, giving to others, etc., simply think “This is for you” or send your energy to the God, and finish the action.
You may say prayers out loud, write them down, or simply think them in your mind. All are perfectly legitimate.
I hope I got all of this. Feel free to reblog or message with corrections, since I know I don’t know everything about every pantheon. Have a beautiful day, and have fun worshipping!! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

SCRYING 101
What is it?
One of the earliest forms of divination, scrying was employed by the ancient Egyptians mainly for dream interpretation and by the ancient Persians mostly to augment their physical discoveries with occult information.
Today, it is used for fortunetelling and meditation.

How does it work?
Scrying relies on the idea of visions. The diviner looks onto a reflective surface, asks a question — to a god, to nature, to oneself — and waits to see the answer unfold right before one’s eyes.
A trance-like state of mind is required for the visions to start manifesting.
What instrument is needed?
The oldest recorded scrying instruments are bowls made of stone and chalices made of silver. Our ancestors would fill them with water, effectively transforming them into mirrors.
Hence mirrors were naturally next in line. Particularly round ones, and later on, black ones made of obsidian.
And then came the crystal ball, which the layman would be most familiar with, due to its popularity in literature.
Which instrument is best?
Scrying, in essence, requires no more than a reflective surface on which the visions will appear. A bowl, a mirror and a crystal ball all effectively provide this. So it all comes down to preference.
Some find using a bowl inconvenient, because it requires looking down for a long period of time, resulting in strain on the neck.
Others prefer a crystal ball for the convenience. It is easy to travel with.
My preferred instrument is a mirror. Mirrors are portals to other worlds. I find it easier to see the future by standing right at its front door.
How is the instrument cared for?
Whatever instrument you pick must not be used for any other purpose.
If you choose a bowl, do not use it to eat with. Keep it covered in silk or velvet and stored in the dark when not in use.
If you choose a mirror, do not use it to look at your reflection. Have it draped with a silk or velvet cloth when you are not using it.
If you choose a crystal ball, do not use it for display. Again, have it covered in silk or velvet when not in use. Not only for respect, but also for practical reasons. A crystal ball is like a magnifying glass. If sunlight goes through it, it will start a fire.
Others ensure that no one else must look upon their instrument. I do not care if a curious family member, friend or querent asks to see mine. I am its owner. Another’s gaze will not change this.
Where do the visions come from?
As a Greco-Roman pagan, I invoke the Fates, Venus and Pluto when I scry. I humbly ask them for a vision that would answer my question.
My grandmother would often request visions from herself. Old age had made her forget many of her memories. Scrying allowed her to remember them.
How is it performed?
Take your instrument to a quiet and private place with dim lighting where you can be alone with your higher power or your higher self.
Take deep breaths to calm your body and clear your mind before asking your question.
Look upon your instrument… allowing your eyes to unfocus… and for sleepiness to begin settling in. This is you turning off your active mind and unleashing your unconscious.
Wait for the visions to begin. Take them all in.
The visions will not stop. They will only slow down. Once you have found the answer you are looking for, cover your instrument with a cloth and thank your divinity or your soul.
What kind of visions appear?
Not only sights, but sounds, tastes, smells and feelings could make themselves known to you through scrying.
Sometimes they are symbolic, like dreams.
I once saw a golden rooster and a hen printed on a cashmere towel hung in a white marble bath, with the sun shining through a window. The very next day, my boyfriend surprised me with a trip to a luxury resort. The rooster and the hen symbolized us as a couple. And the environment represented the place we would find ourselves in.
Other times, they are literal.
I remember asking my ancestors on my mother’s side if it is not disrespectful to them for me to also study the grimoires of my father’s family. I saw an old woman who said in my native language, “The urge to know more is never disrespectful.”
Why try it?
In addition to having extremely vivid visions coming to you directly from the source, scrying also strengthens your intuition and overall connection to your subconscious, in turn improving your skills not just for scrying, but for every other method of divination.

Hex To Make People Reflect On Their Actions

Hello pumpkins!
I’m back! Look at this photo – I found my first ever Book of Shadows from when I was only fourteen! Very sweet. Anyway, this week I have a spell for you. Before I begin, a disclaimer: this spell should only be used against someone who has caused you significant damage, hurt or trauma. If your issue is not life-altering in seriousness, this spell is NOT for you. This is the most powerful spell I have ever written in my time in the craft (trust me, I’ve used it), so please be wary. Remember, ‘What ye send forth comes back to thee, so ever mind the rule of three’.
Let’s begin. This spell forces someone to reflect on their actions, and ensures that until you banish the spell, they will not be able to stop thinking about what they’ve done.
In order to complete this spell, you’ll need:
either two mirrors or, ideally, a compact or travel mirror which you can close.
a red or black candle
a piece of paper
a pen or pencil.
To complete the spell, ground and centre, cast a circle (posts about these two things coming soon!), then sit within it and visualise your intended recipient thinking over their actions. Light the candle and then write down the person’s name in clear block capitals on the paper. Underneath, write what it is you want them to reflect on. Pass the paper over the flame, high enough to avoid burning it, and again, visualise what you want your results to look like and what you want the person to think over. Place the paper between the mirrors, and if you’re using a compact, close it. Proceed to put the spell completely out of sight. Snuff the candle and banish the circle.
When you’re done and think the spell has worked enough, rip up or destroy the paper by any means possible and then throw the remains where you will never come across them again.

Stawberry Glamour ~*
This is a simple glamour that can enhance your attractiveness in many ways, to many people! The purpose of this spell is to give you a boost of confidence in your physical appearance, your communication skills, your creative abilities and other qualities you possess that people find attractive. Think your nose is pretty cute? Think you’re funny? Smart? Do you have a creative talent? Like your thighs and your tummy? People will be drawn to these qualities and take more notice of them, as will you when assessing yourself! This is a self love glamour as much as it can affect others. Ingredients - 1 ripe strawberry - 1 small bowl or saucer - 1 fork Time of Day Perform during a waxing moon, preferably on a Thursday or Friday if the calendar allows. Super effective every Thursday or Friday when the moon is in Libra. Make sure you cleanse your tools and cast your circle to protect yourself. Do a cleansing bath and cleanse yourself of negative energies beforehand if you’ve been feeling especially down on yourself. Hold the strawberry as you visualize people looking twice at you, complimenting your appearance, approaching you to chat. They laugh at your jokes and are enchanted by your thoughts and opinions. They think you are alluring and intriguing and they want to know more. People are utterly charmed by you and if they don’t want your romantic love, they aspire to be in your close circle and be touched by your aura. Think of specific people if that is part of your goal with this glamour.
Put the stawberry in your bowl or on your saucer and plate and gently mash it with your fork. Anoint your lips with the stawberry juice, kiss the juice off your fingers. This should be a sensual act. Eat the mashed bits of stawberry, enjoying the sweetness of the juice rolling down your tounge as you suck on the pulp, seeds gently bursting between your teeth. As you do this, say aloud: “The words I speak, The smiles I smile, Be made sweet, As bee to flower, As honey to fly, I draw you nigh.”

Maleficent’s Curse - so those who harm you will feel like they are sleep walking through their lives.
*inspired by Maleficent’s sleeping curse* Though she directed it at Briar, this is intended for the King Stephan of the situation, not an innocent bystander. Counter Spell: True Love’s Kiss
Needed: - Flame proof bowl - Taglock of the person who harmed you (Preferably a picture or written name.) - Black, Green and Purple Candles - Black ribbon - Needle
Steps: - Set the bowl in the center of your work space. You may want to do this outside if you’re worried about smoke/smoke detectors. - Set the candles up, just past the bowl, in the following order: Green, Black, Purple. - Take your taglock and bind it with the black ribbon. It does not need to be covered. If your taglock is a picture, use the ribbon to cover the targets eyes. - If there are multiple targets, repeat the previous step as many times as needed. - Hold the taglock/s in your hands. Say/Think: “ Listen well, All of you, You have raised in status and power, and revel in the graces of all who know you. But you have wounded me, and that can not rest unattended to. Before the sun sets on this day, a sleeping curse shall befall you, and you shall feel as though you are sleepwalking through your life. You once were Kings, but now you shall fall.” - Take your needle and pierce the taglock/s. - Remove the needle, and then light the taglock on fire using all three of your candles if possible. - Let the taglock/s burn in the fireproof bowl until they are ash, or until you must put them out. (avoid using water to put them out if possible). - Dispose of the remains in the trash or as you see fit. - Blow out your candles to close and activate your curse.

do you have any witchy hot takes for us?
I'm not sure if hot takes are the same as unpopular opinions so I'll assume they are. Here are a few of mine:
The vast majority of occult/witchcraft books in big-name bookstores are garbage
I'm suspicious of any book or content creator who is has an aestheticly pleasing look and a fuck ton of followers
Witchcraft has rules, weather or not people want to agree
Cemeteries are resting places not your picnic area or photo backdrops
The amount of disrespect people have for gods and spirits will be entertaining when it comes back to bite them in the ass
The Starseed & Indigo/Crystal Child thing is the modern day equivalent of Heaven's Gate
Some tools are necessary especially for beginners
Social media has done far more harm to the craft than good
A lot of people who claim to be talking to a certain god are more likely to be talking with some kind of malicious spirit or their own ego

hi! i recently found your account i wanted to ask a few questions if that isn't too much trouble.
how did you get so skilled at witchcraft and stuff like that?
also do you have any book recommendations for learning about what witchcraft truly is? like are there any books that have influenced you?
I began training myself in magick around 15 years ago, so part of the reason is due to many years of study and effort. But primarily, it's not really the years that matter, but the effort I've put in. I have devoted my life to magick, and put it above many other things. One can be into witchcraft for decades, but if they never study deeply enough, nor make the necessary sacrifices, they will never become adept at this path. It's a very difficult thing, and that's something no-one is taught anymore. But there is a reason that magick was reserved for certain temples in ancient times, and why it wasn't usually available for commoners.
I gradually became skilled in magick through my need for it, and my passions. I studied as much as I could, usually on my own since I never found much truth in the new-age books. I instead developed a connection with the divine and allowed them to bring me insight, which opened new doorways into the vast complexity of Heka. This ancient source of energy can be harnessed through specific ways, including Will-Power, Focus, and Need, as well as having a proper understanding of the magick method you are utilizing. This energy of Magick is harnessed within the astral, so having good astral sight goes a long way in the practice. Without it, you will have a difficult time trying to see if you're actually doing something right. As one learns more, they will begin to realize that magick is very much like a spiritual science and artform.
There is also the matter of the Ego Death, also known as the Dark Night of the Soul. Going through this long process of pain and sacrifice opened even further progress for my magick skills. A witch must be Reborn into the powers of Spirit, and transcend their everyday mind through self-mastery, self-understanding, and Illumination. This is the path of true power, which enables one to have better access to what Magick really is. All of this is incredibly complex, and the uses of magick are nearly endless. But books on witchcraft barely scratch the surface, especially the ones that focus on being trendy.
From my own studies, I have much preferred books on Ancient Egyptian magick (although there are very few that are actually good), as well as a few folk magick books that I studied from in the beginning. Folk magick is good, but it can only take you so far; though it's a step in the right direction. Overall, I have placed my faith in the great deities who show me how to evolve in my limited understanding of magick, as even though I have learned so much, it is still so little compared to the full truth of it.
If anyone would like some good books (and a few posts) to begin with, I would recommend these for research:
Planetary Magic
The Emerald Tablets of Thoth the Atlantean
Sacred Magic of Ancient Egypt
Hermetic Magic
The Kybalion
Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs
Opuscula Magica
The Azoetia
Familiar Spirits (my post)
Crystal Magick (my post)
Beginning Witchcraft (my post)
