I have yet to draw the actual Luxray design of Shay, but I like to look at their evolution...I want them to be a comfort character of some sort. They've never felt free to explore their gender, until they finally can, and find out they feel comfortable in femininity. I also see little transfem nonbinary rep in OCs (maybe I'm looking in the wrong places tho!) so yeah :-3

I could've had Shay evolve After the confrontation with Future!Trixie as if to say "now they've completely moved on" but I kinda prefer having them be a Luxray from before because the truth is they've already decided to not forgive Trixie.

They've found better friends in other Pokémon, who have helped them figure out there should be no second chance for Trixie. They're free to grow, and experience other things, they don't need the apology that they're not going to accept anyways.

Is this the right mentality to have, or not? i don't really know but this is the mentality of my OCs :-3

I know this doesn't matter technically because in PMD2 nobody really has a canon age. But I was thinking about my AU and how I wanted one of my OCs to date Bidoof (Bibarel once he's evolved lol anyways) and I started thinking about ages too ofc

I've always imagined the guild members as young adults honestly? like I don't think theyd have kids there with how strict and hard the training is...maybe? Diglett is very obviously a kid tho but he's not rly in a team iirc like I've always thought of him as the...son of Dugtrio, not rly a member through and through? he just helps loudred with something he could very well do alone, tbh.

anyhow, Bidoof would be on the younger side (18-19?) I imagined my hero and partner being around 20? and the OC I wanted to ship with him would ofc be around this age too, probably his same age or 1 year older? i don't want to give them official ages because honestly it becomes annoying keeping up w those but, broadly speaking, y'know! i also just don't want anyone to see my stuff as weird idk 😭

Day 6 - Final Adventure / Alone ✨ // @heropartnerweek

Shay is left alone to fight against Dialga in the Past, while Trixie is the last to disappear after having fought alongside Future Trio in the Future.

This is the piece that came out the best in my opinion...which is a shame because it means I'll end the week with a mid drawing but ANYWAYS.

I wasn't sure what to draw for this prompt, so I went with the Seasons one and illustrated them struggling with how annoyingly hot summer is. HELLOOOO EVERYONE!! like i said in my other post i was lucky enough to be accepted to a bunch of cons and markets this summer!! but ive been in con crunch city. i went from not drawing much to cranking out a ton of merch designs over the past few months. aurhg. crazy con crunch LOL. im excited to share what I've been up to but I also like. dunno how to post any of it bc its like all designed to be turned into charms and stickers and what not.. ALAS!! I hope the way these look isnt too distracting i srsly didnt know what to do with them kdsfskdf

Ive been having a mega pokemon moment and ive been getting really into the mystery dungeon games... ive been playing explorers of sky and its SOO FUNN expect more pokemon from me. im hooked. chronically cant stick to one fandom I apologise LOL

Day 4 - Beach at Dusk 🌅 // @heropartnerweek

Piece that's supposed to mirror the last one; in my AU it's the hero holding the Relic Fragment, or well, it's them and Grovyle, as Trixie is considered an antagonist for most of the story.

In this scene Trixie and Shay are considering what to do after finding themselves on a beach alone, with Shay amnesiac and Trixie feigning ignorance.

Day 3 - Trust, Confrontation, Recovery. 🌾 // @heropartnerweek

After taking the wrong path and making bad choices, Trixie gets to spend time with an amnesiac Shay; her childhood friend that she's spent years trying to stop the plans of in the Dark Future.

Though, her companionship with Dusknoir and desire to live are too strong, so she ends up going along with her and the ghost's original plans and betrays Shay. A part of her however recognizes how wonderful of a friend Shay can be and how beautiful a world that's not paralyzed is to witness.

So years after getting sent back to the Future, Trixie asks Cresselia to meet Shay in a dream, so she can at least apologize to them for the physical and emotional scars she has inflicted.

Shay doesn't accept that apology; they need to let go to properly heal, and perhaps, sometimes an apology isn't enough.
