Question! Do Jon Moxley and Dean Ambrose have the same Ryu Number since they are the same man? Or are they considered different characters with different Ryu Numbers? And if so, what is/are that/those number or numbers?

I believe I've addressed this elsewhere, but it's been a while, so in short: the nature of professional wrestling, especially in a post-Internet world, is such that while each wrestling persona is a character performed by a wrestler, actual differentiation from persona to persona in kayfabe is more often than not either understated or symbolic at most.

Which is to say, while you could meaningfully differentiate between Jon Moxley and WWE's Dean Ambrose, the wrestling persona of the former is more than trivially informed by the latter, and to the best of my knowledge there hasn't been a concerted effort by Moxley to act as if he wasn't Dean Ambrose in the past, beyond not making it a habit to mention WWE directly by name.

(Though if you do count them as separate, his Ryu Number does go up to 3; there's no overlap between the AEW Fight Forever cast and the WWE roster for Brawlhalla as of now.)
