Would Leonyra be inserted into Rhaenys at the same time as Senya 🤔
Or maybe Leonyra got there first (a SI from birth) and Senya shows up, see the changes SI!Rhaenys made and is just ?????
Hmm? It's like, half-past 2 AM so I don't quite understand? Oh. OH. Are you here from Leonie's page? Honestly, the details would be between us until stuff is published. :D
Maegor Targaryen art that I got from @jabberwockyface . She's great and you should commission stuff from her! :)
In terms of design I decided to do something a bit different from usual Maegor artwork which either just puts him in bland armor, or just emphasizes his warrior aspect. And while he was indeed a warrior, he was also a king (albeit a usurper who had about as much right to rule Westeros as Aegon the Conqueror did) , and the royal robes help show it.
The sword and whip, Blackfyre unsheathed and raised, and his whip in his other hand, are symbols of what brought him to power, and what he bases his rule on. Martial strength, and the strength of his dragon, even as he bears the robes of a king to try and present the image of a legitimate ruler.
Lastly, he is a huge man here. Roughly 6'8" to 6'10". With the body build of an NFL linebacker. I figure it helps emphasize and show that one can look intimidating, even without a single article of armor.
Stay tuned for Aenys, who I plan on getting next. :)
If Alys Rivers ever appears in the story, would she be a potential love interest for Aemond?
I don't think so, the Aemond in BGR is very different to the Aemond in canon. He might be curious, but overall, he's less likely to go off the deep end and find magic-wielding, mysterious women as viable life partners.
No problem. I'd love to commission again! #OurQueens
It's nice to see artwork of the girls without Aegon around. :D
“It wasn’t just Aegon—it was Rhaenys and Visenya, too.”
[COMMISSION] Have some sisterly love from our first dragon queens 🐉 Thank you lovely @moynal for commissioning these girls! I enjoyed drawing them so much!
It's how I pictured it. She has burnscars on her back, and some on her face. One eyebrow will never grow back, a finger or two will never have full feeling and sensation ever again. She has aches and pains from it that never go away.
But Baela's beauty is not in how "sexually desirable" she is to some random people. it's in how bold she is, how brave and daring, her presence. She is strong, she suffered, and she hasn't let it beat her down. And without her sister that would not have been possible.
When Alyn dances with Baela, it's not his "handsomeness" that the room is focused on, nor is Alyn struck by Baela's beauty. He feels awkward, as though she makes him feel like an awkward boy whose gangling steps are wrong. In those moments, the entire room can look at Baela and see a woman beyond her past injuries. And Rhaena is there, with her Corbray love, and her movements seem synced not with her partner, but with Baela. Her mirror, her twin, her sister, and the person she values more than anyone else in the world.
Poorly written and sappy on my part, but I have a difficult time articulating myself. :)
actually like the idea of baela’s burn scars being very fucked up and disfiguring but rhaena steadfastedly going ‘my sister and i look just alike’ and ‘can’t you see we’re twins?’ and never for a moment hesitating to embrace her sister
Academia has that issue as a whole. I was trying to read books on fairly straightforward topics and kept getting bombarded with not only archaic words and overly fancy ones where simpler ones would have sufficed, but then they dropped a bunch of German and French words which had me needing to look things up while reading. It turned what should have been leisurely reads into genuinely uncomfortable slogs.
i have such little patience for academic theorists writing in deliberately obtuse manners. ‘my theory isn’t meant to be accessible to everyone.’ okay well have you considered that it’s also annoying as fuck to read when you write like you whipped out a thesaurus in order to choose the most over the top words possible for what should be a simple statement.
Fanart I got of the Orys Baratheon for my fic. Note the wisp of a beard (he hasn’t shaved in a week but he’s a long way to go before he’s got a real beard!).
Done by the wonderful @katanasonata
