I’m so grateful for the work I’ve had this year!  But I’ve found myself feeling less creative after work lately. I think I’m having something of an art slump when it comes to personal work. So to keep the creative juices flowing I’ve started to do little stylized character studies based off of old black and white photos. It’s a nice way for me to start trying new things without having to come up with a full illustration every time.

Thanks for hanging in there with me through the creative droughts as well as the floods <3

This one took me some time. I wanted to level up my portrait skills a bit. I learned a lot making this drawing and I realized I have a lot to learn about digital painting, especially how to paint hair.

I’m gonna take a moment to talk about how endlessly grateful I am for my patrons today, because it’s #thankyoupatronsday! I put the caricatures aside for a moment and started with some animal drawing. I pushed my limits with this drawing, since I drew immediately with ink. It took me some time to finish, but I’m quiet happy with the final result.

A caricature of me and my girlfriend. I gave this drawing a more cartoony style. My girlfriend is always a huge support for me, in moment that I have some doubts, and give me the motivation to continue and push my limits.

I never read the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by R.L. Stevenson, so I thought I would give it a try. I really loved it, as much as the movie with Spencer Tracy and Ingrid Berman.

During the movie, I started a sketch of the main character. Here’s a version of Dr. Jekyll. I’ll start soon with the drawing of Mr. Hyde.
