Gorgeous. Every time I take time to admire one of these beautifully carved stones I wonder why we don’t make them like this anymore. We, as in the monument companies, but that’s not me. I’m just the final date cutter. The thought came to me today that maybe these were created when sandblasting with rubber stencil was new to the industry and they enjoyed showing off what was possible. Maybe. It’s just a thought. It’s too bad they don’t still do it.

First day back in the cemeteries to begin the 2025 season. The scene is quite different from two weeks ago, lugging luggage through central Birmingham en route to Leeds. It is hard not to notice how wasteful we are with our space in the USA. A nice little plot of land for a lawn to mow for every homeowner, and an American flag to demonstrate pride, while the President destroys the country and goes golfing. And cheats. The world is an amazing place.
