i was mid illness when i watched CCA so i dont think it really hit me at the time but the whole ''lalah was like my mother'' bit is so fucking funny that i would of just started losing my shit had i not been 30 minutes away from passing out and hallucinating real hard the entire night.

honestly i will say, G gundam specifically intimidates me because i could either see myself really enjoying G or really disliking G because from what i can tell, it is very different from other gundam series in a way i dont know if i would enjoy

i could go back to UC gundam now that i finished wing but man im actively holding back on watching turn A because i am vaguely aware it has things to do with the other gundam series. i can just sense purely from vibes (and also its ost) that i would likely fuck with turn a real hard. like ff9 level of fucking with turn a gundam. if it turns out turn a is mid i will be sad

yeah i enjoyed gundam wing a lot ngl. lil scuffed in the second half with plotlines being dropped near instantly after being set up and wu fei getting 0 actual character development but i cant deny that i didnt love watching it.

shoutouts to wu fei, it felt like they wanted him to be this problematic guy you hate and then slowly become a better person but they have so many interesting characters to develop that they kind of forgor

like everything else about the show was nothing short of great. but it really did feel like after a certain point the show got a bit lost in itself trying to wrap up all these plotlines and character arcs.

its very ahead of its time in its themes. i think the fact the politics almost shift goalposts every 10 episodes is actually really interesting because in all honesty that is how politics feels and contributes to the general feeling of ''war is horrible and nobody wins'' in such a unique way i love.... but man sometimes the show does present a plotline that got resolved in a unceremonious way in 2 episodes.
