For anyone else having trouble focusing while reading myths… I find that experiencing them along with YouTubers is really nice. I watched the Rafayel new myth again but with a YouTuber, Nayt (link below) and like I actually paid attention this time and yah bawled my eyes this time (alongside nayt lol)… lol it’s been 20 mins the tears are not stopping… very aptly named myth I must say… brb gonna cry again

LETS MAKE A DRAGON SYLUS MC AND SEA GOD RAFAYEL SUPPORT GROUP HAPPEN PEOPLE! 🗣️

I’ve seen a recent trend on instagram where some lads artists draw dragon Sylus mc and sea god Rafayel sitting together traumatized, AND I think we need to see a support group forming here.

Every Saturday these two depressed divas arrive together in someone’s basement, ciagarette in hand, sunglasses to hide the eye bags and puffy eyes, extremely nonchalant about everything, until another member of the support group says something that strikes a cord and they both just crumble. After that group therapy session they would get an ice matcha together and sit in the patio overlooking the sunset across the ocean. Similar to the place they first met - a cliff beside the ocean, tears streaming down MC’s face while Rafayel observes her from the ocean - her uncanny similarity to his dead lover but most importantly the pain in her eyes mirroring his own. The redish hues reminding MC of her beloved dragon’s eyes and those damn flowers she collects like a maniac and the ocean reminding Rafayel of all the memories he shared with his mc and his tear pearls he fills several jars with, same ones she once found beautiful. In solitude they would sit for hours finding comfort in knowing at least they weren’t alone. I don’t think they would ever find romantic love in each other, but they would deeply care for each other and become long time companions (even housemates?). They eventually pick themselves up, lending the other a helping hand here and there, finding a purpose in their life that keeps them going another day.

All while wearing their beautiful outfits, cause your lover may have died but your sense of fashion doesn’t have to. They would adopt a cat (non-negotiable) 🐱

This is me just ranting about fanfic authors and non-mc trope, where the reader or y/n is separate from mc cause y’all are a separate kinda EVIL. Like my biggest fear when it comes to dating anyone, especially men (ive never dated before cause 😀… men) is that they are still hung up over their previous gf, and this trope just takes it to the next level cause the love interests are still in LOVE!!??! HELLO?!!! LIKE THIS IS WHAT IM AFRAID OF, getting with someone and starting to fall in love with them while they are still hung up on their ex. Yesterday I spent the night reading these fanfics with non-mc reader and I had a visceral reaction, like I had to cocoon myself in the bedsheets so i would stop flailing around. And Y’all do it so, so, so well, the way you describe the characters and the angst it just hurts so good, but istg if this happens to me in real life i would be so devastated….

At times I get super sad I was never able to experience teen romance, but looking at mc and Caleb art and fanfics temporarily fills that sadness, and allows me to kinda experience it vicariously through them (I’m still single 😭)

But I’m also thankful that I never had traumatic experiences with romance at a young age 😬
