Recently, I made a bold decision: I rented a modest but safe apartment, far from dangerous border areas, and enrolled my children in a private school so they could resume their education.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
-UNICEF indicated that 625,000 school-aged children have been deprived of education for an entire year, with over 45,000 six-year-old children joining this crisis—putting them at risk of missing a second academic year.-(Source)
Tumblr media
It was a real attempt to return to the bare minimum of a normal life—sleeping in beds, doing homework on desks, washing their hands in a real bathroom.
- According to a report published by The Guardian in September 2024, 90% of public schools in Gaza and all 12 universities have been damaged or destroyed due to Israeli bombardment.- (Source)
Tumblr media
My son Adam, who is 6 years old, went to kindergarten for the first time. He saw toys and books he'd never seen before, and he didn’t want to leave. It was his first true moment of joy.
My name is Enas Majed, and I’m a Mother of four:
Layan, 11 years old, in 6th grade
Sarah, 9 years old, in 4th grade
Adam, 6 years old, in kindergarten
Amir, a 10-month-old baby, born during this war
The war robbed Layan and Sarah of a year and a half of schooling. That time is gone—and now we’re trying to make up for it. We can’t afford to lose this school year too, even if continuing their education feels like a risk.
Trying to provide both education and shelter during a war isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity for survival. Without it, my children’s future could disappear in the smoke and fear.
This month, I managed to cover:
Apartment rent: $700
School fees: $100
School supplies: $100
Today, I’m asking for your help to secure these basic needs for the next 6 months—covering $800 to $900 per month—for rent and continued education.
Over the past year and a half of war, we’ve spent all our savings just to survive—on food, shelter, and fleeing from danger.
All that remains is a small amount with my brother abroad, saved to help us possibly emigrate to a safe country—our only hope for long-term survival.
Your support isn’t just a donation—it’s a lifeline. A way to protect a family, give four children a chance to learn, and keep a roof over their heads in one of the most dangerous places on earth.
Your help keeps us standing. Your compassion helps us stay human.
Thank you for standing with us.

Our school day almost turned into our funeral.
Tumblr media
We were walking home from school — me, my three siblings, and my father — taking the usual 12-kilometer journey under the sun, through rubble and danger.
Suddenly… an explosion.
A missile hit a tent right in front of us.
Adam and Sarah screamed. I froze.
My father shouted, “Run!”
I grabbed my siblings’ hands and we ran through smoke and blood, tripping over stones… and body parts.
We made it home in silence.
My father sat alone.
He didn’t speak, but we knew something inside him had collapsed.
Just a month ago, he made a decision:
We wouldn’t stay in a dirty tent waiting for sympathy.
He said to my mother, “We’ll rent a house. We’ll live with dignity... even if no one hears us.”
He sent us to school — in war, under bombs, with no food — just so we could have a future.
And now…
He stays up every night trying to get our voice to reach you. (you can read more about it here & here)
He doesn’t tell us how hard it is. But we can see it.
In his silence.
In his tired eyes.
In how he still wakes up after an hour of sleep to walk us back and forth from school.
We haven't paid the rent. The school is asking for fees. There’s no flour. No water. No peace.
That’s why I’m the one writing now.
I’m his daughter. This is my message.
Maybe someone will hear me. Maybe someone’s heart will move.
Please… help my father, even with something small.
So he doesn't fall while trying to keep us standing.
So we can live with dignity — — not despair.

Here is the link again. Do what you can please for his sake and his family’s.
To all my comrades and friends who have stood by me—
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you’ve done. I have never forgotten your support 🫶🏻
Today, I’m writing to you while my family and I are living through one of the hardest phases of this war.
It’s been over 600 days—and these recent days are the most brutal we’ve faced. We are suffering from extreme hunger. Our bodies are exhausted. We can barely walk due to lack of food.
On top of that, there’s constant bombing, killing, displacement, and fear. Every minute, people are being injured or killed.
To be very direct:
All the crossings have been closed for over three months.
Everyone here knows: food supplies in Gaza have run out.
People are starving. Some are fighting each other out of hunger.
The occupation set up so-called “humanitarian aid centers”—but placed them in dangerous combat zones in Rafah, far in the south.
We live in northern Gaza. No aid reaches us. They tell us:
“If you want food, go south. Go to those centers.”
But how can we? It’s death waiting there.
We asked people who tried. We were desperate. My father told me,
“We have nothing left to eat. Your little sister can’t bear the hunger anymore.”
So I made a painful decision.
A friend and I went south—hoping to bring something back.
We spent the night in the streets, waiting. In the morning, they said aid was coming. I was so hopeful—just to bring back one loaf of bread, a grain of lentil, anything at all.
And then the horror began.
As we approached, the Israeli tanks started firing directly at us.
It felt like the end of the world.
People were killed in cold blood—while they were hungry.
We tried to escape, we were surrounded. I even filmed a short video of us running, trying to survive. You can hear the bullets flying above our heads.
I survived—barely.
But I came back empty-handed.
My family was waiting for me—hoping I’d bring just one thing to eat.
When they saw I had nothing, the disappointment on their faces broke me.
I cried. Not from fear. But from helplessness. I tried everything—and still failed.
Believe me, friends—right now, I don’t want anything from this world All I ask is to raise enough to buy a bag of flour. Just one.
So I can feed my family. So I can see them smile once—after all this sadness.
Right now, the price of one flour sack is $500.
That one sack can feed my family for a whole week.
Please… I need your help. I can’t go back to those deadly “distribution centers.”
I won’t risk death again.

‼️🚨Urgent appeal, very important🚨‼️
Tumblr media
‼️We miraculously survived‼️
After losing our beautiful home and being displaced, we tried to adapt to a small tent to protect us from the winter cold and rain... We have been in the dilapidated tents for a year now, a year in the cold... No one feels what we feel, and after everything we lose our tent that we tried to adapt to for a year after the bombing of our neighborhood and the falling of stones on us, throwing our tent to the ground and making it unfit for habitation.😔😭
My sincere request to help us so that we can buy a new tent to protect us from the cold winter. The price of the tent is 500$ and the cost of the items we lost is $250.😔
Every donation will make a difference to us in buying it. Protect a family from the cold. Just donate and share the post so that everyone can help us. 🙏🙏😭💔😔🙏

A large part of the reason families were bigger in the past was because marital rape was not considered rape and birth control/abortion methods were ineffective, dangerous and/or illegal. We can dance around this and act like our great great great grandmothers just loveddddd being mamas so much that they decided out of their own free will to have 11 children. We can pretend that they DECIDED to have big families because it was a financially advantageous decision so they could have more labor around the farm. But a lot of children in the past were fundamentally unwanted and not conceived out of love, children were not a choice women got to make. We need to admit that and stop pretending historical women were inherently more maternal because they were impregnated at the age of 15 and kept having babies until they were 40. That did not make them loving mothers, it did not make them ‘the divine feminine’ and it sure did not make them happy.

THE PAIN IS UNBEARABLE
They killed the children in the early morning of the Eid
Instead of wearing new clothes for Eid, children have been wrapped in shrouds, making it the last thing they will ever wear in their lives.
If it doesn't matter for you to see us die, do nothing but If you would like to see us alive please donate here and share

Dear Human, I am writing to you as a human being like you. I am part of a family that is going through difficult times amidst this genocide. My brother suffers from bipolar disorder, and we only need €60 to buy his essential medication. The situation has become even more difficult than before, with the crossings being closed for over a month. We ask you to stand by us, whether by donating, sharing our story, or talking about us. 🙏💔
"In the shadow of conflict, our family has faced unimaginable hardships. The passing of my father, a victim to the cruel grasp of hunger and inadequate healthcare, left a void in our lives, underscoring the fragility of our existence here. My brother, Samer, battles bipolar disorder, a condition exacerbated by the ongoing war and the severe shortage of essential medications. Without access to the necessary treatment, his life is at risk, and we live in constant fear for his well-being amidst the chaos that surrounds us. These personal tragedies have deepened the urgency of our situation."
Those are words from @haazemfamily , who is reaching out and asking for our help. He is a man from Gaza, in dire need of donations and support. He needs help in providing for his family, while the cost of living skyrockets, and at any time they must be prepared to evacuate due to the relentless bombing and threat of death hanging over their heads.
The more we ignore Gaza, the more we kill. "The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch and do nothing."
I believe he is vetted (#075) on the list - do correct me if I'm wrong.
Please, do the right thing. Don't stand back and watch as his family suffers, don't let them endure such hardships.

Together we can achieve our goal in one day and provide crucial support to my family and children in Gaza
Your contribution means everything to us and in these difficult times your kindness is our greatest hope. We are very grateful for any help you can provide and thank you for your kindness and generosity in our time of need
We have lost everything we have in Gaza from home, work and a decent life and my children have lost their most basic rights to education and treatment and not providing them with the minimum necessities of life
We live in a tent in very cold weather and in extremely difficult conditions
In these days, with the so-called ceasefire, nothing has changed for my children and my family. The situation is very tragic
My children need your generous donation that will change our lives for the better
