Once in my early 20s I worked at a whole foods as a cashier.

It was a pretty standard job, extremely boring and hurt our feet and back since we weren't allowed to sit the whole shift and stood on concrete. But standard.

Then I got an IUD on one of my days off. The problem was, at some point during the normal bleeding period afterwards it punctured something on ~the inside~ and I kept bleeding and bleeding day after day after day (at this point though I didn't know there was a puncture though). And I started taking extra bathroom breaks and threatened to be written up for it but I was burning through pads like crazy. Then one day I black out in the bathroom for like a minute (because blood-loss) and come out clutching my stomach and asked my manager if I could leave early to go to an urgent care.

She was actually sympathetic but she said that there was nothing she could do because of my constant breaks and that I left I'd be fired. So I drove home and waited for an emergency appointment, in the knowledge that I was now unemployed.

The customers also sucked but its rotten all the way down.
