We had an introduction to visualising narratives this morning. We discovered that in order to create engaging narratives and convey narratives, we must work together to develop this skill. The possible exploration of sound, movement, performance, spoken words, animation, costume is the main focus of this session over the entire module.
In this subject, we'll look to and analyse a wide range of voices from around the globe. In response to a chosen narrative object, we will organise our analysis, reflect on it, and report our findings. An article of clothing, a text, a moving image, an audio or video recording, an artefact, an image, or a person could all be the subject of this narrative.
This afternoon, we had a visitor who showed us some of his art. He produced echo images and glitching photos in 2016 using the programme Audacity. Additionally, he used font files to type text using Data Face; over time, the letters started to glitch and appear to be spreading, and eventually the text vanished and the entire screen went dark.
Thought of Chicago community of glitch Art-29.09.2010-03.10.2010. He mentioned he worked with people from different backgrounds. It took them 4 days to make glitching Art sharing ideas and techniques. However, he did notice the group was mostly men. personally I am surprised considering women are generally more creative than men according to research by Samantha Hissong.
