Just a heads up - the domains multicd.us and netbootcd.us are *no longer used* and will probably be dropped around this time next year. Please update all bookmarks to lakora.us/multicd and lakora.us/netbootcd, and if you have any old copies of NetbootCD that use the ādownloadā function to grab an updated script from netbootcd.us, burn a new one - newer versions reach out to GitHub instead.

Iāve updated NetbootCD to 9.0. FYI - next year I plan on moving both multicd and netbootcd from their dedicated domains to another site. (This means you wonāt be able to download NetbootCD from netbootcd.us anymore.)

Changes in default output filename and -o behavior
This weekend Iāll be changing the default output path for MultiCD from multicd.iso to build/multicd.iso.
In addition, the -o option will change. Previously, you could specify a relative or absolute path; now, you must specify either an absolute path or a filename without an extension. If you specify a filename, the .iso extension will be added and the file will be placed in the ābuildā folder.
The motivation behind this change is to prevent MultiCD from detecting an ISO that it previously created (if you choose a name other than the default multicd.iso). Additionally, if a future version of MultiCD produces more than one output file, the build folder will be a good place to put them.

Some new plugins have been added to MultiCD recently, including Manjaro, Porteus Kiosk, and boot-repair disk. Iāve also fixed a couple of bugs, and improved performance a little bit on Cygwin (although itās still slow!)

NetbootCD 6.4.1 has been released at http://netbootcd.us.
Iām thinking about making a version of NetbootCD that just uses iPXE and maybe PXELINUX to download a list of installers and utilities from netbootcd.us, bypassing Tiny Core. This would be a separate release, and wouldnāt necessarily replace the existing NetbootCD. Does anyone know if something like this exists yet?
For reference, SliTaz has a Web Boot option in the 5.0-rc3 image that uses iPXE.

Thanks to a github pull request, the SYSLINUX com32 problems have been fixed, and so has the rescatux plugin.
You can also now put files in a folder called ābackupā and they will end up in a folder called ābackupā on the CD.

NetbootCD 6.2 released
NetbootCD 6.2 (based on Core 6.2) is now available at netbootcd.us.
The biggest new feature is support for automatic provisioning scripts (developed by Bohdan Turkynewych), which lets you use NetbootCD for a whole new purpose. If a file named nbprovision.sh is on a removable medium (e.g. CD/DVD or USB drive) when NetbootCD boots, it will run that file instead of the standard nbscript.sh.
You can prevent this from occurring by passing the kernel parameter nb_noprobe=1, or specify an HTTP URL to download a script from by using the kernel paramter nb_provisionurl=http://...
In any case, the NetbootCD main menu also has a provision option that lets you enter a URL at that point.

Website moving!
The MultiCD and NetbootCD websites will be moving soon, to multicd.us and netbootcd.us, respectively. Iām moving them off of tuxfamily (which has been great, by the way!) and onto a nearlyfreespeech server that Iāll pay for myself.
There will also be a new look for both sites. You can see it at this blog (blog.multicd.us).
