Autism is great because my doctors appointment got moved when I'd already got to the doctors and then when I got home my grandparents hoovered the entire house which is really fun for my sensory issues so now I'm tense and keep making mistakes and feel on the verge of either a meltdown or a panic attack, and then I came downstairs to go to the doctor's and my grandparents had just vanished without telling me at the time we were meant to go so i end up crying and then they came back in later then we said we were leaving. And now I feel like I'm dying and the idea of going back to work after this is going to break me

So at my job we have something called "Support Items" which is current bugs in the software which need to be fixed.

Currently we have a pretty big backlog of them, and management is getting antsy about us getting them cleared. The issue is, when you look at most of these tickets they have already been tested before and had bugs raised against them, some even multiple times.

Because dev will do the change, hand it over to test, and not check at all if what they've sent over is working. A lot of the time the bugs we raise against them are little, stupid things and can be fixed within anywhere between an hour and a day. But they're things that never should have got out of dev if dev had actually tested their change before handing it over.

Basically: developers, always do at least a quick test that your change works before handing it over to test, it wastes all of our time
