  if you’ve followed my documentation of my misery of not having my own place for the past few months, you know the story; I’m switching towns, I’m going to art school this fall (IN EXACTLY A WEEK!!) and for that I had to move out of my old apartment and bunk with my parents for some time. it’s been absolutely maddening, but now, finally this monday it’s coming to an end!!

  so basically; I’m moving this monday. school starts on wednesday. I’m gonna be honest, I’ll probably be busy as Hell the first week of school - BUT BUT. since I’ve been to this school before, it means they actually count me with the second year students, which means I have so much more freedom and hence free time than first year students. which in turn means that, whenever I’m not hanging with the roomie or pretending to attend classes, I’ll be right here.

  now, I repeat; the first week will probs be busy as Hell what with packing and unpacking and meeting peeps and stuff. but, as of the 17th (which is my other main muse’s, cxjun‘s, birthday btw) consider this stupid semi-hiatus ended and myself to be more present. this applies for all my three active blogs; x | x | x

  I feel like it’s a popular headcanon that Boone pursues to tone down his emotions, but… I actually really disagree? TBQH, I feel like Boone is, in fact, brutally honest and straight-forward with his emotions. he doesn’t laugh a lot because… he isn’t given much reason to laugh. or so he feels. if instead of a real, sincere laugh you get a snort and a half a smirk from him, it only means he’s forgotten how to actually laugh but he’s beginning to remember with you.

  look at his anger. his anger is real, he’s not trying to tone it down, not one bit. it’s always there and he’s not afraid to show it. he’s afraid of giving himself to these positive feelings, yes, but unfortunately, he’s quite unable to stop them from washing over try as he might. they’re rare, but they’re there. it’s harder to get through to him with happiness than it is with rage, but it is not at all impossible.

  just that comment I think Manny makes proves my point; when Boone was with Carla, he had this stupid, goofy grin on his face 24/7. because Boone is a very sincere, straight-forward guy who just does not play mind-games.

  point being - I don’t think Boone tries and play the role of a stoic, cold, emotionally distant soldier. he’s not playing, he simply IS that guy. and if he knew how to feel happy again, if he knew how to do that without feeling a sense of dread at the first sign of trust and love, trust me, he would. alas.
