"Huh...?" Was it just her imagination, or had Lorelei said she was always really pretty? She blinked in surprise to make sure that she wasn't sleeping, that this wasn't a dream of some sort. No, she's definitely sure she heard it, and she can feel her cheeks heat up slightly. "Thank you. ...A-Again, I mean."

For some reason, this conversation with Lorelei was different; not in the bad sense, of course not, but that it felt as if he was almost... implying something. Some sort of feeling towards her, perhaps. Though, it couldn't have been, right? His next words suggested otherwise, but she didn't mind. A smile playing on her lips, she offered her hand towards him. "Of course I'll dance with you, Lorelei."

Blanche wouldn't consider herself a good dancer by any means, but if she messed up, she's sure that Lorelei wouldn't laugh at her or tease her about it. "Shall we, then?" Still, she couldn't quite get her mind off him calling her pretty earlier...

"Th-thanks…" He replied, eyes averting from her to stare at a pillar. He couldn’t look her in the eyes, especially when she looked so pretty… Ah, she was always pretty though… "Always, always really pretty…" He murmured, unaware that it’d come out of his lips and had not stayed in his mind.

"Uhm," Lorelei turned back to her, smiling nervously. "I was… uh… I was s-sorta… w-wondering… y’know… if… if… you wo-wouldn’t… m-mind… aha… that is to say I mean… uhm…" God, spit it out already! "W-Willyoudancewithme!?" Rushed and jumbled but you did it Lorelei. Proud of you.

The sudden thud jars Blanche out of her attempted slumber, and she jolts up, glancing around in confusion before finally noticing the male sitting on the floor. She blinked in surprise, sitting upright in her chair now, bringing a hand to her mouth. "Lorelei? What are you doing on the floor...?" Surely he didn't think he was less enough that he couldn't even sit in the chairs. That certainly wouldn't do. She hadn't been expecting his next words though, so a slight gasp leaves her lips, blinking a few times once again. "O-Oh my, um... T-Thank you very much, Lorelei. You look very nice yourself."

Okay, he’s doing it. He’s gonna walk over and speak to her. He can… do… it…

As he walked over, he continued to cheer himself on but at the very last minute, Lorelei froze up and thought “I can’t do it”, so he spun around and went to run away and cry when he tripped over his feet and slammed into the ground, laying there for a moment before sighing, moving his hands to push himself off the ground into a sitting position.

Just his luck, huh?

"B-Blanche," He stammered as he rushed to get up, smiling sheepishly. He looked so nervous it was pitiful. He had it so bad. "y-you look, uhm… y-you look nice…!" He meant to ask her to dance but that didn’t come out now did it?

"...I'm not drunk."

Comes her prompt answer. She pouts slightly, rubbing at her forehead where he flicked her, but she doesn't even feel like opening her eyes to see who's speaking to her. If she had to guess, she's sure it's one of those Cheshire Cats -- they always had a knack for messing around with people.

"I don't drink."

It was well into the night already, and Dallas was greatly enjoying the sight of more and more people getting drunk, or whatever you called it in this case. It was hilarious to see usually stuck up personalty just.. not careing. What a great awakening that would be tomorrow.

Walking around a bit they spotted a sleeping woman, was she passed out already? Curiously they came closer and without bothering much about being polite flicked a finger against her head.

"Too much to drink, hmm?"

Sha la la, don't be shy, Lorelei -- just go on and kiss speak to the girl. If you wait any longer, she's going to end up actually falling asleep. If she bothered to even open her eyes, she'd notice you and walk right on over to speak to you, but... This is Blanche Muir, of all people.

Lorelei was watching Blanche from a distance, the tall young man hiding behind a pillar, shaking faintly as he pressed his lips tight. He wanted to dance with her. He wanted nothing more than to just take her hand in his and waltz with her, the dormouse pulled close to him… He really wanted to see her smile as they danced. He just really wanted to be near her. Oh god, oh god, oh god. He just needed to…

No, he couldn’t do it! She liked someone else, right? And… and he’d probably mess it up! She’d reject or something before he even could, though… So… so he was content just seeing her happy from across the room…

But he really did want to be at her side most of all.

Blanche wasn't much for balls nor any social event, for that matter. She really had just come because the Queen of Hearts had been so gracious enough to prepare this event for them; it would be rude if she hadn't went, wouldn't it? Though, that didn't mean she had to particularly interact, right? So, she's just sitting at a table in the back, hands resting on the tabletop to comfort her head. Her eyes are closed; perhaps she would be able to take a nap here before everything got too... lively.

"I wouldn't put anything against the Mirror Lands. I'm sure there's plenty of new places up for exploration..." It was just a matter of finding them, considering hardly anyone travelled into the Mirror Lands out of leisure. Though, she really wasn't expecting for him to say his next set of words, and the sudden surprise written on her features was evidence of that. Eventually, the expression softened, a faint blush colouring her cheeks as she smiled.

"L-Lorelei..." she whispered, a sheepish laugh leaving her lips. Goodness, she sounded like a giddy schoolgirl. "...Thank you. It's the same with me... The very thought of the Mirror Lands is frightening to me, but when I'm with you, I... I don't feel scared at all." She squeezed his hand gently, that smile of hers growing. "Because I know you're there with me."

"Do you think we’ll find a new cool place? I saw some tunnels in the passageway to our secret hideout! Maybe there’s other pretty places…" Lorelei rambled, swinging their hands as he spoke excitedly of the world he called home. Well, it wasn’t really home, but it was all he had. He didn’t get a choice. All Jabberwocks were banished to the Mirror Lands. “Hey,” He stopped rambling to smile down at Blanche, “I love being with you. Any place we find is pretty so as long as you’re there to light it up.” That was terribly corny but what do you expect from a deadly dragon with no social skills?

"Oh..." No one's ever done that for her before; it's actually quite considerate of the other, and the very thought makes Blanche's smile grow even bigger. "N-No, I don't mind. Thank you very much, Bambi. That's really kind of you." Perhaps she could finally get some work done later instead of falling asleep through it. "You'll have to allow me to repay the favour sometime, all right?"

A Mousy Meeting

"I-It’s not a problem…!" Bambi sparkled with delight at the girl’s reaction. For a moment, she thought it might have tasted awful with the way she paused…"Remember, if you ever need anything at all, just give me a call…I’m napper number 1, so I’m here ‘till you fall!" It looks like the twins were starting to rub off on her. "By the way…I took the liberty to place a few mixtures of my own inside the frosting to help you stay awake…I hope you don’t mind…I’m sure it’s safe because I tested it beforehand, though, it may not help with drowsiness…" Bambi knew how tough it was to fall asleep during important tasks…hopefully with this, she could spare her leader some stress.

Giving a nod, Blanche began to lead him off to where the Looking Glass Portals were located. Even though she had entered there times before with Lorelei, she couldn't help but feel some sense of anxiety towards passing into the Mirror Lands; though, just knowing that he was alongside her to protect her from any harm helped quell that fear slightly. Right, as long as she was with him, she had nothing to fear.

"Yes! Always!" He chirped, eyes brightening up with ultimate joy. Holding Blanche’s hand and going off with her… He wished he could just run away with her forever. But that was selfish, wasn’t it? She deserved someone worthy of having her. He was trash compared to the others.

She shook her head. "You don't need to thank me." She glanced around the premises before returning her gaze to Lorelei. "...So, it's time to go to the Looking Glass Portals, then. Are you ready?"

"Thank you…" Carefully, he rose from the ground, taking the girl’s hand in his, the way he took it was like someone handling a delicate piece of glass or something they didn’t deserve to touch.

She let out a small giggle and let go of him so that she could stand up on her feet, extending him her hand. "Of course you can! You don't need to ask. Come on, let's go, Lorelei."

"R-Right… Okay…" He was shaking in her arms and he was still in tears, but at least he wasn’t pointing a gun around at people. It seemed that, no matter what happened, Blanche had the mysterious power of being able to control the "fearsome" Jabberwocky. Who’d’a known the lowest ranking of the Elite could be capable of something like that? "Can I… uhm… c-can I hold your hand… wh-while we go there?"

Of course, Blanche wastes no moment going in to comfort him, a gentle smile on her lips. She leans down in front of him, pulling him into an embrace, while cautiously pushing away the gun with her foot. "Right! I love you, and you love me too. So, let's play together, okay? We could go to that place you showed me before."

That seemed to effectively snap him out of his odd mood, at least, for a moment.

"L-Love…" See, even in his murderous rampage, he was head over heels for Blanche. And wow did those words fuck him up. He was standing completely still, body going numb, making the gun fall out of his hands to the ground, the idiot standing there, blushing like a madman.

"… Right, I know…" He began hesitantly, "… l-love… love… I love you too…!!" He turned away, hiding his face in his jacket, falling to his knees before curling up in a bundled mess on the ground. Baby. Wait, was he crying? Oh, that’s no surprise, though.

She stiffened when he directed the gun towards her, a sense of nervousness taking over her. Not that she wasn't nervous already, no, but this certainly took the cake right here. "O-Of course I love you!" It would be better to agree with him right now, and try to take control of the situation later. "I love you a lot, you know that, Lorelei? You're very important to me. So please don't think that I don't, okay...?"

"Blanche, Blanche, Blaaaaaanche~" He was practically purring as he came to her side, a giggling mess. "What do you mean by that? I’m perfectly fineee!" He leaned in and smiled so brightly, "Don’t you love me for who I am? This is me, Blanche. Or were you," He pointed his gun to her head, eyes serious all of a sudden. "lying?”
