Bobby headcanons

Suuuuper smart and business-savvy, but deliberately keeps a cheery and non-chalant attitude to seem more inviting

Bobby can absolutely be assertive if he needs to be, but it's something he's always struggled with and doesn't like to do

He lives in the same tower as Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, just on a different floor. It's not uncommon for them to go back and forth from each other's places unannounced

Sure, his work is stressful, but he chose it because he likes to keep busy and enjoys the wide variety of tasks he gets to do, and all of the varied and amazing people he gets to meet. He's an extreme extrovert

He's great at taking care of others, but doesn't really know how to accept being cared for himself

His fear of being alone extends beyond his fear of Huntrix breaking up. He puts a lot of pride in his work, even to the detriment of his own personal life, so without it, he feels like he has nothing. Not feeling needed absolutely breaks him

He's kind of just... used to Huntrix running off without telling him anything. It's been a thing ever since he started working with them, but he tries not to think about it too much. Acknowledging it makes him feel too distant from his girls

What 3% means in Bobby's industry

So I'm (understandably) seeing people say that Bobby is being paid not nearly enough for his work helping the girls out, and while I do agree, I wanna clarify that dude is by no means underpaid.

Using BLACKPINK as an example here, BLACKPINK earned roughly 4.6 million USD per concert on average for their Born Pink world tour, which is about 6.1 billion won per concert. Now, I can't entirely trust Reddit, TikTok or Gemini with these numbers, but I'm seeing enough consistency in the sources to believe it's as legit as we can get without their agency addressing it (and why would they tbh haha).

As someone else pointed out on Tumblr, HUNTR/X is on that level of famous, so I won't doubt that those numbers could be higher, but what I will say that at least with this per concert average, Bobby earns 3% of that number.

Cost of living in Seoul specifically is about 2.5-3.5 million Won per month, including rent in a moderate-sized studio apartment. With entertainment costs, that number goes up to about 3.5-4.5 million Won. (Here's where I got those figures if you wanna see for yourself, it also has extra links for sources.)

Now, salary in SK varies, but minimum wage is about 80K-ish Won per day (1.6 million Won per month if I got my numbers right? Not counting overtime salary btw). Median wage in Seoul is about 4.3 million Won per month, and it depends on how old you are. Bobby I imagine is in his early-to-mid-30s so median wage for that age range (yes this is kept track of in SK) is about 3.6-4.0 million Won per month.

Now, back to what 3% means for a super-famous band like BLACKPINK and in conjunction, HUNTR/X.

HUNTR/X is consistently more famous than BLACKPINK in this universe, so these numbers might be higher, who knows. So BLACKPINK earned about 6.1 billion Won on average per concert during Born Pink's world tour. 3% of 6.1 billion per concert is 183.8 million Won.

Not including income from CDs or things outside of concerts. Bobby is absolutely STACKED.

So him muttering about his 3% commission salary isn't in a "I'm not getting paid enough for this ':/" way, but rather in an "oh god they're counting on me and they pay me really well for it, I gotta live up to their expectations and handle this in a way that keeps them safe ':[" way! And remember, the girls were more than happy to offer him their booked staycation in that Korean resort-- they clearly hold him very highly and respect him, and care for him! Sure, he doesn't know about the demon hunting thing and their relationship might not be more than their manager-band relationship, but they do care and trust him a lot! 3% sounds tiny until you realize that HUNTR/X is about as famous as Beyonce or even Taylor Swift.

So yeah Bobby is doing more than well for himself, and that 3% really does mean a lot to him! Best manager, best dad, everybody say thank you Bobbyyyyy

Due to their glittery appearances glitter trolls have a much harder time camouflaging themselves, because of this their glitter instead acts like a defense mechanism working in a similar fashion to a fish-scale gecko, once grabbed they'll expel their glitter from their bodies causing the attacker to get a handful of sparklies instead of a troll, they may also release all of their glitter at once resulting in a big glittery cloud allowing them to escape, that however is risky and mainly used as a last resort as it will cause them to lose all of their glitter leaving them defenseless; their glitter will come back with time but they will remain glitter-less for a few days at best and a couple of weeks at most

With pop trolls being generally attracted to shiny things glitter trolls hold a very special place in their society, their infinitely regenerating glitter causes them to be very popular at party events and even considered to be quite attractive, some take advantage of this by selling their own glitter

Because of their glitteryness they often dislike wearing clothes, not only because of it being quite uncomfortable on their skin but it also renders their defense useless stopping them from expelling their glitter effectively
