Hey gang!!

I’m gonna be taking an extended break from Tumblr because I realized it’s really been affecting my mental health and I want to focus solely on bettering myself for a while. You guys are great and this community’s been very sweet and supportive, but I’ve just been having a lot of anxiety from dealing with negativity, keeping the queue going, life stuff, etc.

I’m probably going to make a new blog in the future when I’m in a better headspace, but for now I just need to step back, breathe, and care for myself. Thank you all for everything; you’ve made my experience here unforgettable!! <3

allow yourself to be important to your f/o. allow yourself to have had a profound impact on your f/o’s life. even if it’s a deviation from canon, even if it’s hard to believe. they love you, and that makes you a part of their story. allow yourself to be as much a part of their life as they are yours

wow, just... imagining the pure extent to which your f/o loves you is so touching... guys really, they love you so much that it might be hard to comprehend sometimes, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't believe it

Me, every time I see someone clearly projecting themself onto a canon character when shipping them with another:

i don’t know if this will make sense or if anyone actually needs this but!

it’s okay to think about characters you don’t want to add to your f/o list! it’s okay to fantasize about characters you don’t ship with! it’s okay to crush on characters and explore your feelings for them and it’s okay if it never ends up as more than that! it’s okay if it takes you awhile to figure out how you feel for a character! it’s okay if you don’t ever put a label on things! 

it can be fun to introduce new ships on our blog and it can be nice to be able to define our connection to certain characters but it’s okay if you can’t do that or if you just don’t want to. you don’t have to talk about every crush you have if you don’t want to and it’s okay to create content, to write, to draw, to make moodboards and playlists and whatever your heart desires for characters that you don’t consider an f/o and it’s okay if you don’t ever share it! 

i hope you never forget that the way you consume media is specifically for your enjoyment and things can be fluid and unspecified and messy and that’s all okay! create when you’re inspired to do so, create for those you feel motivated to create for, and share it only when you really want to! find what feels good!

This is a reminder that your self shipping/self insert blog is YOUR blog, you don’t have to draw or write to have your brand of fun with it! Make a million different Pokémon teams for yourself, make a billion posts about your self inserts lore, go OFF about how much you love a character, make as many AUS as you feel like even if you dont go back to expand on them much, have F/Os that you don’t even know your relationship with!! It’s your blog and it’s FOR you, so don’t restrain yourself to just one thing, create whatever you want, or reblog whatever you fancy!! Your blog your canons!!!

I wish I could just like. Get all cozy under a blanket with a f/o and drink some peppermint tea and just talk and reminisce about a different time. Y’know?

🌸 It's very cute to receive compliments from your F/O(s) and as stoic or cold as they might be, I am sure they never stop showing you in their own special way how much they love you.

But imagine, just for a second, that you give your F/O a compliment. They will short circuit instantly, as their chest feels like it's going to burst anytime along with the millions of butterflies they have when they look into your lovely eyes and realize that what you said.. Was genuine.

Imagine that they get so flustered they cannot process everything in that moment so they come to you, minutes later, gently brushing their fingers against yours in a shy attempt to hold your hand.

Imagine that you might even hear a soft, timid "Thank you" as their fingers relentlessly play with yours.
