This is a fandom blog. Too many fandons to count, really. And a LGBT+ blog, because yes. Occasionally I will probably ramble a little bit about other stuff that I'm thinking or that I found interesting, but bear with me, it won't be too often. Welcome =) *A lot of the things I post on this blog are not mine. I just find them on the net and post them here. I claim no ownership*

not to leveragepost in 2025 but I simply must talk about the scene where hardison plays sheherazade, because I learned an arrangement of that third movement recently and I am still so impressed
for context: I started playing violin when I was five years old. Am I great? Nah. Am I able to tell when an actor is phoning it in on violin playing? Absolutely.
aldis hodge actually played that piece. They definitely found a recording to play over him because that's what you do for TV but I rewatched that scene when I was learning that solo and got tips from his fingering. he has vibrato technique. he doesn't just pick a violin up once in a while, he's legitimately a skilled violinist who also does everything else he does

"I see my own feelings through the feelings of others because I don't feel in ways that they do" is some brilliantly respectful fucking writing for an autistic character. She feels very deeply, but she can't explain it, not even to herself. And when she tries to, everyone else scoops in with their guesses and she just gets more confused, but ends up agreeing with whatever they're saying because in the moment she feels like they must be right. Because they know her and they're better at the feelings stuff. Truly, all Parker wants is to be understood. But not only by others - by herself as well. Feelings and intentions are confusing to everyone, but more so to the people whose brains work so very differently from what is considered "the norm" in most any modern society.
In short, I love this episode. It showed me that this new Parker is still my Parker. My first ever favourite and one of the first I've related to without realising it. She's weird and she's honest, and she's bad at socialising, and people confuse her, (especially when they hurt others). And she's also brilliant, funny and loving and incredibly protective, in ways that only a Parker can be. I'm so glad Beth understands her as she does. I love her.

Beatrice: Ava, can you turn on the lights?
Ava: I don’t have to, you are the only light I need in my life.
Beatrice: Ava, darling, that’s sweet, but I can’t see.

The Librarians is so different from Leverage. See, The Librarians is about a team of 5 secret heroes consisting of a non-American thief with a hidden past, a quirky bisexual autistic-coded girl with trauma, a tough country guy played by Christian Kane, a sarcastic guy who provides technical support, and a leader who watches over the team like a parent. Also Noah Wyle is there. Unlike Leverage, which is about a team of 5 secret heroes consisting of a non-American thief with a hidden past, a quirky bisexual autistic-coded girl with trauma, a tough country guy played by Christian Kane, a sarcastic guy who provides technical support, and a leader who watches over the team like a parent. Also Noah Wyle is there.

Poor John Rogers. He’s gotta be feeling like a writer for The Onion trying to make an entertaining show about justice in an unjust world, and it all just. Keeps. Getting. Worse.

you know i have never heard a convincing arguement as to why AO3 should not moderate the content that is posted to their website and i think a lot of the arguement against moderation on AO3 boils down to, terminally online people thinks community moderation is the same as government censorship and personally sending the cops to someone’s house to arrest them irl/

Hey Xander, go fucking die in a ditch. The audacity of this man. He left Anya on their wedding day. And yes, he’s now expressed a desire to get back together, but thus far Anya has expressed zero interest in that. You are broken up, it is 100% your fault, and what Anya does with her life now is none of your business and she owes you nothing.
And yet here comes Xander fully trying to murder Spike because he slept with Anya, and spewing hateful slutshaming vitriol and Anya and slutshames Buffy while he’s at it like he has any fucking right to judge anyone here.
And when he defends his judgmental attitude with “When this is the solution to our problems. I hurt you, and you hit me back? Very mature,” I just fucking lost it. What a self-centered entitled asshole. No this is not her solution to your problems because y’all don’t have “problems”; you left her. And she did not sleep with Spike to hit back at you. She slept with Spike because she was in pain and drunk and lonely and just wanted a little comfort. It is not fucking about you, Xander. Get the fuck over yourself and stop thinking you have any high ground ever at all to judge someone for being “immature” when you act like this.
Fuck all the way off, Xander. I hope wild dogs tear you apart and eat you.

This house, which I have day dreamed about buying for years because it's located in this perfect place that I love, now is suddenly for sale for only 150k usd. Way bellow market price for its location (which is usually at least double that). And I have not even close to that, nor can I afford the mortgage costs in my country right now for an investment of that amount.
For 3 days now, since I heard, I have thought about every single thing I could do to try and afford it. None is possible for my current reality.
I know this is not the best place to talk about this sort of thing, but I needed to vent about it and have no one to vent to. All my friends just say "there will be other houses in a few years when you can afford a mortgage like that". But it won't be that house, in that street that I love. And it will definitely cost way more. I'm getting married in January, we want to adopt kids in a couple years, we work from home sharing a single small office space in a rented apartment. Having a house of our own before that would be a dream and make things so much easier. Sometimes, life as an adult just SUCKS.
