I love how “In Dreams” from the Fellowship of the Ring uses lines from “The Song of the Ent and the Entwife.” Like the ent and entwife, Frodo and Sam are separated despite their love for each other; but like the ent and the entwife, they eventually reunite at the end of their days, when Sam follows Frodo across the sea.

Oh my god this is one of my favourite dub scenes. Between Joey’s “THEY TOOK HIS SOUL!”, Duke’s imitation of Kaiba and everyone laughing in the background, and then Kaiba getting so worked up over Yugi losing that he screams at them, it’s hilarious.

Galadriel X Elrond and Frodo X Sam

Same energy. Best friends forever. Elrond Peredhel and Lady Galadriel. Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee.

I like to think that Elrond is Galadriel's good, pure side. While Sam is Frodo's good, pure side they both bring out the best in their companions. They are loyal to their friends even when they disagree with them.

Meanwhile, Galadriel and Frodo are the wise heroes on a quest to destroy the Dark Lord Sauron. For different reasons but they still share some similarities: wisdom, an ability to read people well, a devotion to their loved ones, focus on the long-term goal, being able to see the bigger picture, remembering what's most important.

I love the parallels between them. Galadriel even gets stabbed by something akin to a Morgul blade (maybe Morgoth's crown is made out of Morgul blades?) which poisons her in the S2 Finale as Frodo was on Weathertop by the Nazgul. Just like Frodo she has to be healed by Elrond and then wakes up in Rivendell. I love these characters so much!
