10 True Things that happened at Dashcon 2 but they get more and more niche and obscure

1. The muppet joker was murdered in cold blood, and then KUNGPOWPENIS’d before the musical group *The Musical Interdudes* sung “am I am man or a muppet” in their memory.

2. There was a knighting and failed insurrection

3. Ball pit piss was sold for two dollars.

4. Dashcon 2 raised $7000 CAD for The Canadian Cancer Society.

5. Two different things were left in the ball pit, a red plastic tooth and a paper sign reading “PISS”.

6. There was a child murder hole beneath Dashcon 2 Staff headquarters that spanned the majority of underneath headquarters.

7. Part of the reason there was so many hand written signs around the con was because the Dashcon 2 printer was (trans inclusive) misogynistic and and would only work when operated by one of the guy staff members.

8. The staff held a party a few weeks after the con and drank Mojitos and The Flavour while WAY too many people were in the ball pit.

9. The prizes for the cosplay competition had hand drawn doodles on them from one of the staff.

10. Someone tried to sell watches under their coat (supposedly) at the crow exchange and was subsequently banished for their crimes (most definitely).

11. Staff members independently convinced the muppet joker to consume mustard on cheese pizza as his last meal (MUSTARD CULT REIGN SUPREME).

i really enjoy that i’m experiencing dashcon 2 in the same way that my forefathers experienced the original dashcon: though sporadic bursts in chaotic photos. i have no damn clue what’s going on except the ball pit is tiny, strange aeons won the duel and ousted the muppet joker, there was a live in person kung pow penis, and someone cosplayed the children’s hospital

I feel like OG Dashcon was a cultural shift for the worse for internet and fandom culture, much like the Death of Harambe in 2016, but the more I hear about Dashcon 2 in Canada, the more it feels like we are returning to the light. Cringe culture is dead and the Muppet Joker reigns supreme.

the assisted dying debate is so crazy

because i do fundamentally believe everyone should have the right to die when they want.

BUT if they legalise assisted suicide in the UK right now i don't trust our ableist fucking government to not just start coercing disabled people into suicide to save money. they already won't give them enough money to live.

It's okay to struggle AND in most cases it's also okay to quit. Kill the idea that we have some inherent moral obligation to keep suffering through something regardless of how much we hate it and how many negative effects it's having on us. Suffering for the sake of suffering is NOT the virtue it's made out to be
