Marketing Automation - what you probably miss out on
The Bynder Marketing Team has a new tool - Marketing Automation.

Many companies sooner or later realize that distributing large amounts of content also has a downside, because where do you get all the content? If you really want to automate your marketing you also have to work on creating content, a Marketing Resource Management (MRM) tool can help with this. We wondered why there is no connection between Marketing Automation and Marketing Resource Management. A study by Sirius Decisions (2011) showed that most companies only have a Marketing Automation system and no Marketing Resource Management (and vice versa). Marketing Project Management:
The lack of a project management system - such as workflow - in MA tools is often a problem. When creating content, a workflow system is needed that helps because it provides structure and control. Such a system becomes increasingly important, certainly when content is created in multiple languages. Content must then be checked and approved by several people. This can cause problems without a workflow. For example, in some MA systems you cannot approve projects in part and give feedback on part of the project. The project always needs a number of feedback moments before it can be completed.
Brand Management Tools

The planning is the bridge between Marketing Project Management and Marketing Automation. You often use a calendar with which you can plan projects. The problem with such a calendar is often that you do not stick to the planning because you only see when the entire project must be finished. The calendar does not show when which part of the content should be finished. All content must therefore be completed in one go on the day of the project deadline. By linking your agenda to Marketing Project Management you can plan deadlines more accurately by dividing these into phases. You can also follow the progress of the deadlines and tasks well.
Digital Asset Management:
Digital Asset Management (DAM) is an MRM tool that is used to store all content so that you can access it at all times. With this you can easily deliver all your content for the project. All visual content (images, videos, advertising texts and licenses) for a project is also collected here. MA offers little in the area of DAM. Often this is no more than an upload button on the website. If you only use 1 document then this is not a problem, but it will become a problem once you want to share more than 100 documents. The content then becomes untraceable in a mountain of documents.
It is also difficult to remove documents from the system because there may be 4 versions of 1 document. With the help of a Marketing Resource Management system that always keeps your digital media up-to-date, this does not happen. Because of the connection with your MA system, only the newest version is saved. Moreover, it is automatically overwritten when you upload a new version. All content is therefore automatically updated when you save, so you always have the latest versions.
Budgeting:
Marketing departments often want to measure the ROI of specific projects (eg a mail campaign). However, the MA tools only offer the possibility to link the total costs of the project, it is not possible to divide the budget into categories (eg printing costs, licenses). So you have no overview of the composition of the costs. MRM does offer the possibility to draw up budgets for entire projects and to divide these into periods.
