NAME: John Crouse | LOCATION: Hell's kitchen (cities can vary) | LIVING COND: 6th floor apartment in a "middle class" building in the heart of the city with his dog | OCCUPATION: private investigator (only takes cases that interest him, or that he can use to sometimes stir sh*t up between the various drug sects and "gangs") | ASSOCIATIONS: almost none, after Sabrina dies Lucifer goes radio silent and abandons hell and his fight for heaven.

Lucifer loved guns, even helped in their development; pushing the right people in each other's direction, making sure the right pockets were filled with enough cash to finance their exploration but, *swords* -- that rush of adrenaline even a demon could feel when metal clashed -- that look of urgency on an opponent's face -- the pounding of the mortal's heart. There was no beating that.

When possessing a human everything was dulled, numbed to a brutal extent. That was part of their curse-- their punishment; to feel, taste -- smell-- through a haze. There were things they could do, ways they could coil around the soul they were smothering to get a true taste but for the most part, there was only indifference. The sun though, the light-- warmth of the closest star-- their true, untouched kin -- they could always feel that.
